    Great event in bigger arena!

by Seminole123 on 1/12/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

I took my 3 year old boy with me and he seemed to enjoy it. He got a kick out of the motorcycles more than the monster trucks. Got the pit passes before the show to go ground level with the trucks and meet the drivers and motorcycles. Got pictures taken and autographs with a flag we bought. Drivers were really nice. Not sure a monster truck event should be held there cuz i just don't think it was big enough for the trucks to do anything especially with trucks parked on both sides. Then there was the carbon monoxide issue from the trucks and all in the arena that they had to take 10 minute or so intermissions to try air out the arena which dragged the show on some. For as little trucks that ran and all, they only had a best height event which was nothing great and a shortened freestyle event that wasn't much they could do because of the carbon monoxide issue. If it is a monster truck event, they need a bigger arena or an outdoor event to make it more exciting and lessen the monoxide issue. The motorcyles were more exciting with their tricks. Bigger arena or so and have all the cars or trucks already out for the mosnter trucks to jump over and all ahead of time rather than wait for them to move stuff out and change some things around that was kind of meaningless. They changed a couple cars around and put a van in. One monster truck took care of that van and that was nothing. No fun for the other monster trucks. If i go back, it would be for a freestyle motorcross. Their more exciting and their tricks keep you into the event. Monster truck needs bigger arena or outdoors.

    Exciting, however

by Paratrooper82nd on 1/11/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

The free style motor bikers were very good and kept the crowd entertained. The monster truck that did the back- flip was something every fan should see. There were however some issues with the trucks. The show started with 6 trucks and ended with 3 that was still running. The cold weather may have had something to do with 2 of them. So there was a lot of down time during and before events.

    Monster X needs improvement

by Rockengirl on 1/11/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

The emcee was positively HORRIBLE. There was toooooo much down time and no entertainment to fill in the time that trucks could not run. US Bank Arena was too small of an area for this event. The Crustacean was most impressive and the truck that did a back flip was cool. Could have done without Kid KJ, all he was doing was driving around in circles in a glorified go-cart.

    Not Very Thrilling

by flattsfan4eva on 1/11/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

I took two of my friends with me and we were pretty bored. It was freezing in the arena because they had to keep the doors open to let the fumes out. We left early after we saw the backflip. I was a little disappointed in the backflip because it took a while for the man's truck to start.

    Monster X????? Really????

by zmwg on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

Although my 4 year old son enjoyed some of it, it seemed like there was ALOT of down time. Most of the trucks were broken and there was no excitement. It was extremely boring for my 8 year old nephew. Sorry, we will most likely not be going to this event again!

    Poor

by Chief800 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

Not impressed with the quality of the show. I dont know what we expected for a small indoor facility. Overall coordination was poor, lighting poor, sound very poor, music way out of bounds. ( LOUD) I know that mechanical things break, but two trucks out of 7 was a joke Price I paid for tickets because I bought them on the first day, was way out of line $5. that others paid the day prior is an injustice

Venue to small for a event of that size. Monster truck back flip was cool.

    OK...

by mandaof4 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

There is a lot of downtime between trucks, stunts. If you don't mind this, it was OK. The kids (4 of them) loved it. I just thought is was a little slow and not totally professional. The lights had to be q'd by the announcer and didn't know exactly what they were doing. Plus the trucks break down easily it seems. Maybe I just don't know enough about the sport... And, you had to have a lower level ticket to go onto the track before the event.

Not quite ready for prime time

by JennRoseD on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

I purchased tickets when they were first available to take my three young sons ages 6, 6, and 8 to see 'Monster Trucks'. The ticket prices were high, but I thought what the heck, try it once. We arrived early enough they allowed us to go down on the ground floor to purchase a $10 flag so the boys could get autographs of some guys. I have never heard of any of these Monster Trucks, but the boys didn't mind. My disappointment was the way the show was constantly messed up------the announcer not knowing the guys name, the spot light folks not finding the truck being introduced, the frigid air coming in from the 7 degree temps outside because two trucks blew up and caused a smog alert to go off for OSHA. We left after less than 1 hour of being there-==At least they sold ear protectors....for $10 each......Save your money, go support Monster Trucks, but do it in the summer time, in an outdoor arena, and see who is going to be there ----name wise, that you really want to see.

    Boring

by GonePhishin333 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

Completely boring with several breaks and intermissions that they blamed on OHSAA. I'm sure they were looking out for the health of the hundreds of kids that were there. Overall I think the monster trucks ran for 20 mins total. The only saving grace was the backflip, that almost didn't happen either. Bounty hunter ran for maybe 3 mins total, hard to explain to a 4 year old that the event promoters were not prepared and why the trucks kept breaking down.

monster x was awesome but unorganized

by teddy05 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

The show was good, but I think due to OSHA and other restrictions ot is hard to keep it organized. Its good for the money. I was happy and my daughter had a blast!

    BOOOOORRRRINNNNGGGG!!!!

by Ohio9999 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

Way too much down time. This was supposed to be a monster truck show not the Cyclones mascott shooting t-shirts into the crowd or several 'cheer off's' between two sides of the arena. Over 2 hours in the arena produced about 20 minutes worth of monster truck action. Very BORING! Hey Mr. Announcer-guy...instead of shouting into the mircophone for us to 'make some noise', GIVE US SOMETHING TO MAKE SOME NOISE ABOUT! and your 'best motorcyle' rider's name is Jake, not Jack.

    motorcycles were great

by Anonymous on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

the monster truck part was a let down for me, couldn't keep my 3yo interested even. but we all loved the 3 guys on the motorcycles. great if you have young boys. the souvenir area needs to be able to accept credit cards. i'm sure many people do not carry around as much cash as is needed to buy everything their kids want. i could have quite easily spent 40.00-60.00 on souvenirs, but could not.

    Monster x tour

by truckfan1 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

For the price I paid for tickets we did not get to see much monster truck activity. Several of the cars broke. We basically saw more Motorcross Freestyle than anything. The monster truck show at Cincinnati Gardens is way better than this show!

    Unorganized, cold and otherwise unengaging

by KCVG on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

First of all, the venue was too small to hold an event like this. Watching monster trucks drive around in circles and jump piles of cars is pretty boring. The highlights of the evening was when Crushtacean made the big jump and the monster truck back flip. There is ENTIRELY too much downtime. The announcer did point out that some of the downtime was required by OSHA for clean air safety standards. That is understood, but there was much more downtime than just that...trucks trying to get started, people not ready to do what they were supposed to be doing, etc. If there is going to be that much downtime, the announcer throwing t-shirts into the stands is not enough entertainment to keep the crowd engaged. Additionally, because of the air quality, the arena opened ALL outside doors and it was 6 degrees outside. The temperature dropped so fast in the arena that we had hats, gloves and coats on and could see our breath! I'm glad we came prepared, but there were some who obviously didn't. Overall, my 7 year old son enjoyed it, but I would not recommend it for anyone in the future and we will not be back. I've heard the outdoor event at Paul Brown Stadium in the summer is worth it and we may try that in the future.

Better luck next time - for them!

by JJJMM on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

I certainly will not be there. The best part of this event was the motocross show. The "monster trucks" were mostly broken down and hardly ran at all. There was more talking from the announcer than anything. And, it was freezing inside because they had to air out the arena often due to air quality control. This was explained up front on the web site, but it did not make it any more comfortable. The Monster Jam show was much more fun!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!

by jonesld1997 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

I purchased tickets to this event for my 11-year-old son for Christmas. It turned in to the worst present I have ever purchased for him!! The show started at 7:30pm we watched 4 trucks each jump twice. Then the freestyle motorcycles set up their ramp for jumping and the crew tried to reset the cars for truck jumping. There was definite incompetence on their part as it took well over 30 minutes of exhaust building forklift work to get it done (and lots of internal fighting among the group). Then the freestyle jumpers went, GREAT stuff...only saving grace for the entire show. Unfortunately due to the time the forklift ran trying to reset cars, air quality was deemed unsafe and the show was shut down. Once the show was given the all clear, did they run the monster trucks? Heck no they let a 7-year-old in a modified Power Wheels run around the track for 10 minutes. He didn't jump, just ran and added to the air quality problems. We did get to see the truck do the back flip. Then more freestyle jumping, again great but there went the air quality and we were shut down again. Finally after 2 hours and 40 minutes they came on and said three trucks could run for 1 minute each. What?? Ok, first truck runs, wrecks and the incompetent crew spent fifteen minutes with a front loader trying to get him off the track. You guessed it, air quality poor and shut back down. After half the crowd left and those left were booing non-stop they let the last two trucks run for one minute each. End of show after three plus hours. If I had to guess I'd say we got about 35 minutes of monster trucks. Oh, how could I almost forget. When the air quality rose they opened every possible outdoor opening to clear the air. We sat in the arena in winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves and still froze. It was warmer OUTSIDE when we left than it was inside watching the show! I will be requesting my money back and complaining to Ticketmaster, US Bank Arena and the sponsors of the show. Don't waste your money, find another show and enjoy!

    Monster Trucks

by madmommy789 on 1/10/11U.S. Bank Arena - Cincinnati

The show was indoors, the US Bank Arena. It was the worst show I have ever been to. We took our 3.5 year old boy, he was so excited, however, the ventilation was not meeting the fire marshall standards, so for two hours, we probably saw 15-20 minutes of a show. They kept stopping it to help the air quality. Luckily you can keep a little boy happy with cotton candy and peanuts, but it was the biggest waste of money I've spent in a long time. I will never go to an indoor event like this again. Too bad I cant get a refund, it was such a waste...and a disappointment!!!! Probably would of been a good show, if they could of performed!
