If you're a golf enthusiast (and even if you're not), attending the Travelers is a great experience! The grounds are beautiful, and you can get quite close to the players to watch. Highly recommend!
Everyone was helpful and accommodating. The Mohegan Sun box was well worth the $$$, delicious food, water and soda to get you through the day, way better bathrooms, and AIR CONDITIONING
Great place to watch golf and an incredible bargin seeing kids under 15 get in free with a ticketed adult. My son and I had a blast.
I have never been to a tournament previously. I have watched on TV - (snore) but in person that was the best experience. Being outdoors in nature, everybody is quiet (LOL) and I was able to continually walk around (got exercise). I am looking into becoming a volunteer for next year. If I can't do that then I will be purchasing tickets for next year.
Hot dogs were overcook and cold/due to rain should have re-entry like Masters have in order to go to auto to get rain gear.
Took in the travelers on Thursday as we always do. Walked most of the course (again) and got to see some tremendous golf, as well as some like I play. The field was very good (again) and viewing areas good. We have done this event several years and have always enjoyed it. The golfing is always good and the sponsors extremely friendly. Look forward to this event every year.
Great line up of golfers and despite the bad weather it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd. I will definitely get tickets for next year's tourney.
I've been going to an average of 3 to 4 pga tournaments a year since 2006. This tournament was the BEST in every aspect. The food and beverage areas were great. The concessions gave a great variety of choices. They had air conditioned deluxe trailer restrooms. They even provided covers and straws for your beverages. You may not think that is worth saying but The Players didn't or the Memorial tournament. It sure helps when you are walking up and down hills!! The Memorial didn't even provide napkins. There was a shuttle if you didn't want to walk to the parking lot to the entrance. The people who worked there ALL were very friendly and helpful. They even gave out rain ponchos and umbrellas as well as hand sanitizers and chap sticks. If Phil Mickelson signs on next year you can be sure I'll go again!!
iI paid extra money when purchasing the tickets to also pay for parking. When I got to the event they were not familiar with the online tickets or associated parking and I had to pay an additional $15 to park.
great day of golf! The discouraging point of the day was trying to get out of the parking lot. It took us 1 hour and 15 mins before we moved from our parking space. They need to reevaluate the exiting system.
This year’s tournament was exceptional-hosting some big names in golf, plus more viewing stands open to the public. Weather cooperated too. Buying the admission and parking tickets online made for easier entrance. All in all a great day for golf enthusiasts.
We had a great but very hot the merchandise shop needs more inventory on a sunday all sizes were sold out. But almost a perfect day then that. All staff was great. Can I volunteer for next year ? @travelerschampionship
I have been attending the Travelers Championship for many years - a well run event with immaculate grounds, plenty of restrooms and decent food (albeit pricey), The bad news comes when you have to leave - we were in the parking lot for over an hour on Sunday before we hit the main road to leave with ABSOLUTELY no attendants in the lot. Premium parking cost me $20 via Ticketmaster. So save yourself the $ and aggravation - either take the shuttle or park in a resident's yard where they offer parking.
Parking was reasonable, parked in a residential home back yard for $5, had to walk a 1/4 mike to the gate. Crowds were not huge, made for some nice opps to get close to players. One major complaint. Beer line was long and took forever. Need more lines, cash only and quicker servers. 10 people ahead of me and it took over s half hour to get your $10 domestic beer. Ugh. Did get close in the 18th green and saw Bubba hit the stick to win it. Walked to our car and the heavens opened up. I’m sure a lot of people leaving got soaked. Overall a good day, would like to see more top players playing but so be it.
In years past the food court was very good but this the food court was the worst I have ever seen
We paid $280 dollars each, for food, drinks and a seat at the 18th hole. The food was sparse and not good quality. The drinks choice was limited and they ran out of some brands of beer. The seating was poor as you could not see the 18th green putting surface if you were not in the first two rows.
Been going to the Travelers tournament now for the last 6 years, these have been the most enjoyable sporting events I've ever experienced with my son, already looking forward to 2019!
Volunteers were awesome!!! Food vendors were quick and easy to get thru!!
Great venue. Can’t wait to go next year. A great field as well!
We attend every year, and appreciate all the improvements made for the fans. This year, we especially liked the concessions and the "grab and go" idea ... much less crowded and tasty menu.
