TRAPT IN CONCERT:
Trapt continue to make heads bang with their melodic brand of nu metal, delivering another strong collection of grungy alt-rock anthems in 2013 with Reborn, their sixth studio album. Whether charismatic frontman Chris Taylor Brown is tearing through hits like "Headstrong" and "Stand Up" or reaching out to touch fans in the crowd, his dynamic presence always ensures the perfect balance of aggression and intimacy, making the band's shows as appropriate for mosh pits as they are for sing-alongs. Back on the road and tighter than ever, Trapt has fans eagerly awaiting their upcoming tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed by a group of California high school students in the mid-'90s, Trapt played their first shows before even graduating, landing on tour with Papa Roach soon after. Following their self-released 1999 debut Amalgamation, the band attracted the eye of Warner Bros. Record execs, resulting in their self-titled 2002 major label debut. The album spawned three singles including "Headstrong," their top-selling single to date and an enduring encore favorite at the band's live shows. They released several more successful albums in the '00s, landing nine singles on the Mainstream Rock chart and performing alongside greats like Papa Roach and Buckcherry. Back on the road in support of their most ambitious record to date, Trapt has anticipation for their upcoming shows at a fever pitch.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"They put on a high energy show and have a great relationship with the crowd. Trapt is an act meant to be experienced, not simply heard."
"I knew they would be good but OH MY GOD they blew me away! Chris is such an amazing performer with an amazing voice, I would definitely go to another show in a heartbeat."
"...Trapt was seriously unforgettable! They played their new songs but mostly their old stuff which is my favorite. Two songs for encore brought the house down!"
All the bands put on a great show! This was my first "rock" concert and i will be attending alot more now.
Trapt was amazing, but the wait was horrible; Harpos was freezing. We had to sit through four so-so bands, guessing all local, and one decent band before Trapt came on stage. The first band started to play at about 5:45pm and Trapt came on stage a little after 10pm. We were disappointed in the amount of time we had to wait before Trapt came on and the cold didn't help. Listening to Trapt was by far the best part of the night. They sounded amazing and I would definitely go see them in concert again; just probably not at Harpos.
Trapt was really great, I definitely recommend them to everybody.
The acoustics were WAY off!!!! I love Trapt, they always put on a good show, but this show you could barely hear the vocals, and the songs didnt sound insync. Me and my group of friends were very VERY disappointed.
My main reason for going was to see Since October. I got there and realized that Since October wasn't going to make the show. The opening band sucked I left after hearing Since October wasnt going to be there. Harpos Is nasty to. They need to clean and renivate
Sounded very similar to their album. Played popular songs. But no encore. That was the first concert I've ever been to where the band didn't come back out and play at least one more song. Overall... good show and great performance.
Besides the pole that would sometimes get in the way of me seeing Chris Brown, the concert was amazing!!! :) The first band of the night was okay.. You could tell that they were a beginning band. I was really impressed with Since October whom I've never heard of before. They have become a new favorite of mine! They were very entertaining on stage. Trapt was obviously amazing, but the music was louder than the vocals more so than it should have been, making it hard to hear them sing. It was lucky I knew the words to the songs anyway, but it would have been nice to hear them better. Overall, GREAT concert!!!
This concert was amazing. I have seen TRAPT 4 other times, and this one rocked them all. They played a great mix of old and new music. I am a huge fan of TRAPT's older music, and it brought me right back to when I was 18-20 and rockin out at concerts every week. I would go again if there was another one tonight! Tommy
Trapt was great. They sound just as good live as they do on their CD.
I thought Trapt did an amazing job! I have never seen them before live, but have been a fan for years now. I would recommend anyone going to see a awesome band!
The opening band Burn Halo was off the chain too! Great night of Rock. We have seen Trapt before, and always love them. In the beginning of their set the feed back was a problem, the new guitarist seems to be doing fine though. Cubby Bear is a great place to see a show, you are right in front of the band, not a bad spot at all. Small close venues like that are the way to see a show.
Trapt always puts on a great show. I saw them in Vegas where I live three days before I went to L.A. to see them. They always sound great and do a wonderful job of playing equal amounts of songs from all 3 albums. Anyone who has a chance to see them should.
This concert was great!!! I have seen Trapt several times before and they always do something that makes me go "WOW!!" I love that they interact with the crowd. I couldnt have asked for a better saturday night!
The show was worth every penny. They are very good at engaging the audience and they are so nice to meet in person.
Trapt puts on a great show and sound even better live! First band, Inept, was ok. Second band, Divide The Day, was terrible! They're just a lousy copy-cat band of Papa Roach and Avenged Sevenfold. The third band, Since October was very good! Got to speak with the frontman while he ran their merch booth on his own. Very cool! Good album/
ive loved them forever this was the first time seeing them live and they did NOT disappoint! go see them their the best!
GREAT venue! They took their own time after the show to take pictures and sign stuff with fans is always a huge plus! This is the second time I seen them and it just keep on getting better and better every time!!
Trapt was one of the best bands I have ever seen live, and currently that count is 69 bands, so thats saying something. They had great energy and presence on stage, and Very involved with their audience. As an added bonus they explained/described the meaning behind every song before they played it. And they had amazing bands open for them making the concert all that much better. I would go see them again in a heartbeat, cannot wait until their next show.
Trapt at the Troubadour was amazing. Since the Troubadour is so small, you could see the band closely no matter where you were standing. They played an array of songs from all three albums. The only downside was that they only played for an hour and 15 minutes, surely not enough time to get in many songs. After the show, Chris and the band came out and signed autographs and took pictures with fans. That was pretty sweet.
Had good opening acts. Divide the day was a little scratchy but the other two were really good. Trapt did a really good job too...not the best concert I've been to but def would recommend if you're a fan.
