TRAPT IN CONCERT:

Trapt continue to make heads bang with their melodic brand of nu metal, delivering another strong collection of grungy alt-rock anthems in 2013 with Reborn, their sixth studio album. Whether charismatic frontman Chris Taylor Brown is tearing through hits like "Headstrong" and "Stand Up" or reaching out to touch fans in the crowd, his dynamic presence always ensures the perfect balance of aggression and intimacy, making the band's shows as appropriate for mosh pits as they are for sing-alongs. Back on the road and tighter than ever, Trapt has fans eagerly awaiting their upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed by a group of California high school students in the mid-'90s, Trapt played their first shows before even graduating, landing on tour with Papa Roach soon after. Following their self-released 1999 debut Amalgamation, the band attracted the eye of Warner Bros. Record execs, resulting in their self-titled 2002 major label debut. The album spawned three singles including "Headstrong," their top-selling single to date and an enduring encore favorite at the band's live shows. They released several more successful albums in the '00s, landing nine singles on the Mainstream Rock chart and performing alongside greats like Papa Roach and Buckcherry. Back on the road in support of their most ambitious record to date, Trapt has anticipation for their upcoming shows at a fever pitch.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"They put on a high energy show and have a great relationship with the crowd. Trapt is an act meant to be experienced, not simply heard."

"I knew they would be good but OH MY GOD they blew me away! Chris is such an amazing performer with an amazing voice, I would definitely go to another show in a heartbeat."

"...Trapt was seriously unforgettable! They played their new songs but mostly their old stuff which is my favorite. Two songs for encore brought the house down!"

Sets were short, but that's understandable considering amount of bands. Loved the variety. Everyone put on a great show!

    Saving Abel Rocked!

    by GuitarGrl3 on 9/21/16State Theatre - Portland

So decided to try the VIP meet and greet State Theater offered. I am going to start with that experience rather than the music. We arrived at 4 as instructed. We waited and waited and then someone came out to tell us we would be going inside but they were still setting up. So they check our tickets and IDs and give us wristbands. Then we have to have tickets scanned. The guy scanning made me go through all the tickets again to show VIP even though the wristband lady had just done that. Then we were closed in an entry way and waited and waited and waited. Finally we get to go in. Only a few band members came out to meet us which was disappointing. But we did get photo ops and were able to hang with the guys who did come out. The staff was fairly rude and non helpful. I really did not like how they treated the customers. The music however kicked a$$. It was amazing. Short sets as there were so many bands and one band listed was not there. We stayed mostly for saving Abel who delivered beyond expectation. We left during Trapt so did not see Saliva. Trapt was not the best. They kind of fell short after the set delivered by Saving Abel. We has already been to Revolution Rock the day before and still had a two hour drive from Portland to home or we would have stayed for the whole show.

We rock almost as hard on a Sunday

    by NKoch90 on 9/21/16State Theatre - Portland

Overall the lack of audience nearly killed the show for me. The artists were the same amazing outstanding artists I remember from my childhood and they tried their best to really pull everything they could out of the crowd. But the mass hysteria and crowd roar is the biggest part of the concert experience and there was little of that going on. As well it was advertised that Alien Ant Farm would perform and they were nowhere to be seen and no explanation was given. Ticketmaster and the venues need to do a better job with explaining who will be present and if they are not giving a reason why. All I can say is, an artist is a magical entertainer capable of pulling emotion from you and forcing you to display it and enjoy yourself, but the entertainer can only do soo much. So do yourself a favor and don't try rocking on a Sunday.

    Trapt was awesome.

by ReneeHudg on 9/21/16State Theatre - Portland

The concert was good. Wish there was more people - felt bad for all the bands. Wonderful venue - very intimate. I was hoping to sit in the balcony and was disappointed that it was closed. Trapt, Tantric, and Saliva were my favorites.

    Badass Show

by DeathlessOne on 11/2/15Masquerade - Atlanta

Awesome show! Love Chris's was of connecting with the fans. He doesn't just sing and leave. He speaks to us and gives us words of encouragement. It's nice that there is a band out here that isn't always so hard. Trapt is real and sings of real things and real feelings and that's what it's all about. I've been listening to Trapt for 10-15 years. It's moved me. Trapt's music is part of me, and it was just amazing to have a chance to finally see them live. I wish he would have pulled me on stage to sing with him ;) The 2 opening bands I saw were great, as well. Third decree had some great lyrics, great melodies, however they're just a little too radio for me. However, the other band I saw, Adakain, was just jaw dropping impressive. It takes a lot to impress me, but WOW they played great. They really reacted with the crowd. Adakain has definitely gained some fans. I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan R and Corey. They signed my CD :) so awesome. i got some merch too. nice guys.

    Amazing

    by Ven0mZero on 11/2/15Masquerade - Atlanta

This was my first time at the Masquerade and it will not be my last. Me and a group of friends came to see Trapt in concert. We showed up 30 minutes before the entire thing started and got a wonderful parking spot, there was no line, and the staff was wonderful. Then the music started. We were lucky enough to get a front row view in the pit to see three up and coming bands. First was vault 51, next was an amazing concert by Adakain, and lastly there was First Decree. Unlike many other music venues I have been to this one was set up in a way to encourage you to get close to the stage. There was a space between the stage in the pit where security was but you were still able to get super close to the bands. When Trapt appeared on stage that's when it all went down. This has probably got to be one of the best concert I have ever been to in my life. That's saying something because I go to a lot of concerts. Despite there being two fights break out, which happens when you get a bunch of people drinking smash together in a music pit listening to rock music, the security handled it swiftly and professionally. I will definitely be back and I give this venue highest rating possible because they definitely deserve it.

Great band, minus their opening bands

by FallonTraptLover on 10/16/15PubRock - Tempe

I love Trapt! I have their band logo on my wrist. Only negative thing I can say is that their opening bands were horrible.

Trapt was ok...too many opening acts

    by topshelf1975 on 5/20/15Piere's - Fort Wayne

Trapt played too many ballads and not enough of their hard rock songs. Under the Flood was ok but did like their popular song

Solid lineup from opening act up to and including Trapt. Seemed like Trapt had some Mic problems at the beginning, but after that they had a great set. Really enjoyed all the opening acts, especially Darling Parade.

    Amazeballs!

by avrilpleut on 9/5/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

This show was superb! The opening band, First Decree, straight up energy with a familiar feel. Everything you want in an up and coming band. Great group of guys to chat with after the show. Darling Parade was good, but not being a true appreciater of female singers, it wasn't my cup of tea. However, props to them for rocking out! You definitely won't be disappointed by their performance. The Veer Union...what can I say about them? Oh, right...they kicked major ass and were by far the highlight of the bill. While I'm familiar with some of the catalog, the songs I didn't know kept me hungry and wanting to hear more. Crispin's energy was outstanding! Dan squared, Ryan, and Amal all sounded great and we're very much into the set. Sadly, they are only out for two more shows after tonight. Trapt, for me, was okay. After seeing The Veer Union, the energy level came down a lot. Picture it this way, First Decree and Darling Parade are your warm up laps during your excercise routine. The Veer Union is your hard core kick asss sweaty workout, and Trapt is your cool down. It was disappointing, but they sounded good, so I can't fault them for that. Bottom line...go check out any of these bands if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed!

They were amazing!! Opening bands were awesome too. Tiny venue, beer and great sound system. Doesn't get much better. I've been a huge fan since 2000 and they exceeded everything I expected

TRAPT playing their debut album - Spot on

by RCMX on 7/25/14Chameleon Club - Lancaster

TRAPT's debut album has been solidly within my top 5 favorite albums of all time since its release. So naturally, as soon as I heard about this show, TRAPT playing their debut album in its entirety in a small club venue for only fifteen dollars, I jumped on the opportunity. I must say, they did NOT dissappoint. The ticketed start time was 8 PM, so I made sure to get there by 7:30. By this point, several local acts had already taken the stage, so I figured TRAPT would be coming on at 8. Much to my surprise, there were five openers running until past 9:30. Though they were all talented, entertaining, and engaging, it seemed a bit excessive to have that many openers in such a small setting. However, as I said, they were all good, so it was worth the extra wait. Playing through the album in order, TRAPT opened with a stellar rendition of Headstrong, setting the pace for an energizing and down-to-earth set. One might think opening with your signature song would diminish the rest of the show, but in this case the energy only continued to build throughout the night, especially for those who were very fondly familiar with the debut album (myself among them, singing along with every line from every song). They played through songs such as Hollowman, Made of Glass, and Still Frame, every one becoming surreally better than the album version, the charisma of the room bringing the excitement to euphoric levels. Then, rounding out the set with a quieter tone, a beautiful acoustic solo performance of Stories made the transition from the album to the rest of the show. Continuing on with newer hits like Stand Up, Black Rose, and the ever-energetic and appropriate way to end a show, Who's Going Home With You Tonight. All in all, great venue, great show, great price. Convenient parking, freindly staff, nice crowd, and a wonderful (albeit late) night to be had by all.

    Trapt was awesome!

by Anonymous on 7/23/14House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

This is one of my favorite band and I was happy to get the opportunity to see them live. Their sound was great and put on a great show. The only thing I was a little disappointed at, is that Trapt getting on stage at 11:15.

    The Show was Great!!!

by sbrockermom on 7/16/14House of Blues Myrtle Beach - North Myrtle Beach

I absolutely love Trapt and every time I see them live it makes me happy! I especially love The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach! The venue is small and usually the sound is great! The staff is always nice and I feel very safe even if I am by myself!

Such a talented group of men!

by CallmeAravis on 7/15/14State Theatre - St Petersburg

Trapt is comprised of four extremely talented musicians. These guys put on a great show - they put all of their energy into it, no doubt. It was probably one of the smaller venues that they have performed at, and they didn't act like it was beneath them at all. They appear to really appreciate their fans, and enjoy doing what they do.

    AWESOME show!!

by Jaydedhalo on 7/14/14House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Shallow Side, Righteous Vendetta, The Veer Union and Trap! What more could you want? We drove 6 hours for this show. The show was AMAZING! All 4 bands put on a high energy show! We also did the VIP for Trapt. Got to hear their sound check, got into the venue before anyone else (which I highly recommend!) and got to do a meet & greet with the guys (who are awesome!) The only thing I didn't like was there was this female who crowd surfed over us, not once, not twice, but three times! (We were front stage, on the railing) She wasn't a small woman either, and the security would just grab her and walk her away from the front of the stage. After the 2nd time, she should have been thrown out.
