TOVE LO IN CONCERT:
Swedish pop ingenue Tove Lo has been a creative force in her native country for several years, but with the 2014 release of her debut EP Truth Serum she made considerable waves overseas as well. Catchy single "Stay High" peaked at No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart, and Lo nails the song every time at her electric live shows, capturing the relaxed beauty of the recording with her languid vocals and magnetic stage presence. On her latest tour, Tove Lo will treat fans to her original material along with renditions of hits she's penned for artists like Lea Michele and Cher Lloyd, making for a truly eclectic night of pop magic.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Stockholm, Tove Lo attended a music high school and cut her teeth playing in the band Tremblebee before deciding to pursue her solo career. In 2011 she joined famed producer Max Martin's songwriting team, going on to pen songs for bands like Girls Aloud and Icona Pop. Her work writing for other artists helped pave the way for her debut as a solo artist in 2012 with the single "Love Ballad". With the release of the single "Habits" in 2013 she made her first appearance on the Danish charts, and in 2014 her debut EP Truth Serum landed at No. 13 in her native Sweden. A young artist with plenty of big things on the horizon, Tove Lo will give ticket buyers a glimpse into the future of pop on her upcoming tour dates.
My third time at Southside Music hall. I'd previously seen Haim and Dua Lipa there.
Venue was packed to the rim! Which goes to show how popular Tove Lo is. Although the show was fantastic perhaps a couple screens on the outskirts just to get some people spaced out towards the back & sides.
Southside ballroom needs a serious facelift. Too many blind spots unless you're directly in front of the stage. Tove Lo's set was pretty disappointing too. Lady Wood is her best album by far and she only sang one track from it. No encore either. Not a bad concert, but could have been so much better.
Previously saw Tove Lo at Denver's stop of her tour at Mission Ballroom, so this was my second time seeing her for the Dirt Femme tour. VIP page had very limited details, and so my expectations were high. Figured they'd cap the VIP to a small group
Tove Lo and Slayyyter were fantastic! This was my first show going VIP and it was 100% worth it. Slayyyter was a fantastic opener and she brought so much energy on stage. Tove Lo was magnificent and her voice sounds exactly like the songs. If you want to see Tove Lo and Slayyyter I highly recommend.
Tove lo was absolutely incredible, she has amazing vocals and her band killed it. I’d like to go to every show she ever has
I had the best time. She played all of her hits and some of her new album of course. The crowd felt very safe as a woman if you know what i mean. She’s the best.
How did they fit that full light and cloud show in the HOB? Who knows, but it was amazing! Tove Lo really gave a fantastic performance, and Slayyyter was good, too.
I had the best time at Tove Lo’s tour in Orlando! I loved her song list and was so happy she sang from each album. Her outfits were giving me life too! I am so happy I came to experience this. She was the best!! Hope she comes back to Orlando soon!!
Not letting the venue and audience effect the rate. Tove lo is AMAZING. She was amazing, I want to see her again and again.
Show was amazing, i’m flying to Dallas to see her again!
Tove Lo is an amazing artist and her live performance was truly incredible. Beautiful voice, beautiful confidence, genuine all the way around. Will go again anytime she’s in town.
The show was incredible. Tove Lo gave an iconic performance, every song was a hit! I was already really surprised by Slayyyter too! I appreciated the amount of merch and was happy to get a signed Tove Lo poster. They advertised a photographer that was taking photos for his kissing book, and we looked everywhere for him and couldn't find him. We also had balcony seats, but when we entered the ground floor to look for the photographer, we were let in easily, making me think that anyone could just waltz in that area no matter where they had their ticket. All in all it was a fun time, the Wiltern was beautiful and the drinks, although a little overpriced, were pretty good.
Great songs, amazing performance, and overall fantastic night! Tove is so talented and I'm so glad she is finally getting the fanbase and praise she deserves. I have been a fan from day one and love to see her perform live. She is not only a great singer and performer, she is a wonderful human being and engages with her audience. I can't wait to see how she tops herself next :)
I have been seen Tove Lo in 2020 before Covid, she threw a great show even her had her feet broken. This time, without any moveability issue, she really had us crazy for her show. Love her so much!
Music was fire! Her voice and energy was incredible and I can’t wait to see her again. But I won’t be seeing any more shows at the Wiltern. What a terrible GA venue. I couldn’t see the stage - at all. It’s too sectioned off for GA, vs 1 big floor. We moved around several times but because security couldn’t keep the isles clear, there were no clear viewing paths for anyone under 6ft tall or in the first row of their sections.
I felt safe and i appreciated being helped to my seat, i can't wait to go back. Tove Lo was so amazing and the opening performer Slayyyter she was amazing and i knew her music. I got 2 ladies in 1 night. I'm still on cloud 9 from the concert, so glad 😊 i went.
Thought I was buying seating, ended up in GA on the floor- which should have been fine. I think they overbooked the show, or needed to raise the stage higher because we could not see Tove Lo at all, pretty much ruined the show. Saw her at Palladium in 2020 and it was amazing at any angle. After the first 15 minutes we knew it was going to suck and just had just kind of gave up. Love Tove Lo and I'm sure the show was great, was there but pretty much missed it all
From the lights, effects, and wardrobe changes, to the talented artist herself- it was a fantastic show! She had a great onstage presence. The whole night was so fun. Also Slayyyter slayed! Beautiful historic Los Angeles venue. Really an incredible night!
First of all, Tove is the best and her vocals are always on point. This review is purely based on The wiltern, which is a live nation venue. It’s outdated, and the sound SUCKS! The speakers are so old and the audio is so muffled - you can barely make out the lyrics and when the artist speaks it’s completely inaudible. Everyone who I knew went to this event (and goes to see any artist at the wiltern) says the same thing. LiveNation - step it up!
