TOVE LO IN CONCERT:

Swedish pop ingenue Tove Lo has been a creative force in her native country for several years, but with the 2014 release of her debut EP Truth Serum she made considerable waves overseas as well. Catchy single "Stay High" peaked at No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart, and Lo nails the song every time at her electric live shows, capturing the relaxed beauty of the recording with her languid vocals and magnetic stage presence. On her latest tour, Tove Lo will treat fans to her original material along with renditions of hits she's penned for artists like Lea Michele and Cher Lloyd, making for a truly eclectic night of pop magic.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Stockholm, Tove Lo attended a music high school and cut her teeth playing in the band Tremblebee before deciding to pursue her solo career. In 2011 she joined famed producer Max Martin's songwriting team, going on to pen songs for bands like Girls Aloud and Icona Pop. Her work writing for other artists helped pave the way for her debut as a solo artist in 2012 with the single "Love Ballad". With the release of the single "Habits" in 2013 she made her first appearance on the Danish charts, and in 2014 her debut EP Truth Serum landed at No. 13 in her native Sweden. A young artist with plenty of big things on the horizon, Tove Lo will give ticket buyers a glimpse into the future of pop on her upcoming tour dates.

    Not for the Prudish, That's for Sure

    Tove Lo is undeniably talented, having penned hits for other performers and recording an interesting song cycle with Queen of the Clouds (which is all about the arc of a relationship). However, there are themes and language that some may find offensive, and that carries over to her stage show. Even without the grinding and, as has been documented ad nauseam in social media, some upper frontal nudity, her music is undeniably powerful and had the crowd energized. Hopefully, she won't be just a flash in the pan when the fickle public tire of her shtick, but time will tell, I guess. Right now, she's popular enough so that the young woman next to me exclaimed "She'd be so fun to hang out with!" - high praise indeed!

    Tove Lo was Entertaining!

    If you like music, especially dance music and electronic pop, then this concert is for you! I also like how Tove Lo is foreign and has foreign influences in her style and music. Just remember to buy seats at the Wiltern unless you don't mind standing room only. My legs were tired and became hot up front.

    Great but short!

    This was my first time seeing a show at Fox. I loooved the venue. My friends and I were able to find a good spot to see the stage. As for the show - it took a long time for Tove Lo to come on stage after the opener. I felt like because of that, her time was cut short and the whole show was rushed. She just sang song after song without any real crowd interaction. Other than that, she performed well and we had a lot of fun singing and dancing along with her. I just really wished she could have had more time to sing other songs.

    I always love going to Fox Theater, but watching Tove Lo was even better. I have seen a few artists here and I love the acoustics here. Also the ambiance is wonderful here. I def cant wait for the next time I watch Tove Lo or go to this venue overall

    The show was AMAZING! She sounded great and you could just feel the music. She just looks like she's having the best time performing so you can't help but have the time of your life with her. And she freed the nipple. She's awesome.

    Absolutely exceeded my expectations. She is an exceptional talent and I am glad that she finally has her time to shine.
