    High energy show

by girlsmomma on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

My daughter loved it from start to finish. We thought it showed a great love for fun while enjoying the gymnastics skills. Great athletes, some were well known and others were not, but still every bit as talented. We were surprised that there was some autographing afterwards, but by the time we made it down from our seats, they were rushed off the floor. Also, we were hoping to see more bars and beam from the girls.

    Not what I expected

by GymnastDaddy on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

I thought my family and I were going to see a gymnastics competition but as it turned out it was a show. It was neat seeing the gymnasts from the Rio Olympics and they did do some amazing things. My family and I thought we were going to a sporting event. We don't want to see a show, we want to see them compete.

    Gymnasts were great!

by CoachD24 on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

Fun and amazing show! Very entertaining and great to see the Olympic athletes performing plus relaxed/having fun. It was great to see them in their element but adding their personality to the show.

Tour of Gymnastics Champion Simply AMAZING!!!!

by 2BGDGSTN on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

We enjoyed every minute of the show! I would recommend everyone to see it! We went 4 years ago and enjoyed it then also. We loved the history of gymnast and most of all the speaking of the National Anthem, gave us chills and made us proud to be an American! We loved the neon portion of the show! Only request is more with our Lady champions! More Beam! Maybe see more of the ladies floor routines.

Disappointed that big named girl gymnasts didn't perform more.

    Nice to see once!

by GymnasticsMom1196 on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

I guess we were glad we went, but probably wouldn't do it again. Thought there would be more content! We understand they aren't going to risk getting hurt by doing their hardest moves, but we expected more. Simone was the only one who did a simplified floor routine, none of the other girls did, and only one of the guys. On the uneven bars, the girls just did a few "giants", then jumped off. Simone did slightly more. The guys did do some high bar and rings. All the girls did do some jumps and leaps on the beam, but not much. Simone did more! We saw several dance routines by the rhythmic gymnasts, and several group "dance" routines. They had a "section yelling" contest and shot a few t-shirts into the stands. We went to see gymnastics and there wasn't much of it!

    My Daughter Totally Enjoyed It!

by Lad76 on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

The show was amazing. Had issues with our seats but that mix up was handled smoothly and quickly. We sat in section 9 and surprisingly had amazing views. We were still close to all the performances. And afterwards the gymnast came to sign autographs and my daughter was close enough for that as well. Really good evening.

    Disappointing

by AGCFW on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

The production portion of Gymnastics Champions was well done. The lights, music, video, choreography - these were high quality. It could have been a great show. However, we were there to see gymnastics, and many of those performances were disappointing. The Final Five team was not complete. Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian did not appear, and were not mentioned. The gymnastic skills performed by the other three were unimpressive and infrequent. The men's high bar stunts looked like practice rather than performance. With the Final Five as the draw for this event, they should have performed more than the trampoline artists. We actually saw much of what we see in our own practice gym. This event was all about the names and not about their talent.

Not Exactly What I Was Expecting

by jindy5 on 10/18/16Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

My thought in going to this show was to see the Final Five preform there winning routines and a celebration of the other gymnastic teams from the Olympics. Not all the girls were there and the only preforms about 5 sec of there routines if that... It was a lot more running around and dancing... after the the Final Five came out(only 3 were there) then they had a 20 minute intermission. the second have was the same. I guess i was expecting more full routes shown and them doing more than just running and dancing.

The show was amazing! I bought tickets for my mother in law, sister in law, and myself. My husband and I flew up with our 6 month old to Indy from Louisiana to attend. I would definitely recommend going.

    Great show

by DeeandJamie on 11/3/12Bankers - Indianapolis

We loved the show. It had it all. There were funny parts, pretty parts, and the wow factor. My daughter cried because she was so excited. The lights were great and really set the mood. Just awesome. The only change I would make is more gymnastics. I still give the show a A.

Was great, but could have been amazing!

by A123J on 10/8/12Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma City

The tour of gymnastics champions was overall an awe-inspiring, fun show that left most of the audience satisfied and happy. The few cons of the show were that at the beginning, the host's mic was not working, and i don't think he realized it, which meant there was essentially no introduction to the show, and events simply began happening with no explanation. The setup of the first part is incredibly awkward, it featured what i assume was a corp of local gymnasts that, with all due respect, should not have been featured. Again, the host appeared very frazzled, which gave the event a very disorganized feel. Another issue is that they never mention the names of the gymnasts who are performing while they do it. I understand not wanting to vocally introduce them, but even showing each person's name on the marquee would have sufficed. Finally, the adult baby bit, obviously just filler material was truly AWFUL. I would have gladly seen an hour show without the two baby bits and HALF HOUR intermission rather than sitting through these painful, mind-numbing parts So although I have made it sound pretty awful above, the performances of the gymnasts were amazing! It was magnificent to see these athletes close-up and in action. Most of them, especially Nastia and the male gymnasts, seemed to truly enjoy themselves. The best parts were when they went directly from one event to the next, seamlessly. At times, the action seemed non-stop and it was fabulous. I will definitely be back next year, prepared for all the negative parts, but excited for all the great parts!
