    Facilities

    by Donna on 8/4/23

Missed an entire quarter waiting in a food truck lineup. Not enough facilities to accommodate the number of people who attended. Good game venue but more big screens around the field would have been better.

    TDA 2023 Halifax

    by Erica R on 8/3/23

Had another Amazing experience down East at Touchdown Atlantic! I think the overall organization of both the CFL and Organizations in Halifax did a great job to accommodate the crowd this year at St Mary’s U. I’m sure with every neutral site the CFL chooses to use you will always have things to improve on to accommodate the many people in attendance but from my perspective I enjoyed myself tremendously and hope this can drive the conversation to bring a CFL team to the East Coast! Great Job St Mary’s U, the city of Halifax for your great Hospitality and to the CFL for planting the seed to make our game a coast to coast experience! #GreyCupInHalifax 🦞🤗

    Wonderful experience.

    by PoetryPal on 8/3/23

Halifax was a great city to visit. Entertainment at the tailgate party was super. Grey Cup was in attendance which was fabulous. Friendly atmosphere. Fans from both teams (Argos and Riders) were supportive and congenial. Temporary metal stands made seating uncomfortable. No back support and hard surface to sit on. No handrails made accessing seats difficult for some. Better planning by bus transit would have been appreciated - should have been free to and from stadium (was free from stadium); more buses needed. Transit workers were helpful. Not sure how much advertising and promotion of the event occurred in Halifax.

    Great anniversary date!!!

    by AdamL68 on 8/2/23

We really enjoyed having the opportunity to watch a CFL game. The whole process from getting our tickets to getting our butts in the seat was surprisingly seamless. The long line-up flowed through the many gates quickly. However, our butts in the seat was not a great experience. Thousands of people jammed into very uncomfortable metal bleachers, had my wife and I discussing if we wanted to stay past half time. They tried to put far too many people on the bleachers which left you sitting on a metal plank, jammed shoulder to shoulder with a stranger, knees in your back and your knees in someone else's back. I literally could not put my hand in my pocket without inconveniencing someone. Trying to get out to go to the washroom was frankly dangerous. This would not be bad for a short time, but for the duration of a football game it was not enjoyable. Luckily for us, at half time some people did leave which left room and made it slightly more comfortable. As much as I love football, I would not attend another touchdown atlantic game with the current seating.

    Touchdown Atlantic

    by MamaBear on 8/2/23

Parking was sufficient, entrance was smooth going, food huts were plentiful, and game was decent. Next to no opportunities to purchase either teams spiritwear, venues ran out of water, lineups for food to 45 minutes to get through, squashed on the stands like sardines in a can had to sit sideways to sit forget about standing to cheer. Overall, I'd do it again - Halifax needs a football team.

    Great

    by Jo on 8/1/23

Everything ran so smoothly. I was so very happy with everything. The CFL helped me in the beginning when I was having issues with my tickets. They were so polite and assured me everything was going to work out. And it did!! Touchdown Atlantic was the best weekend I’ve ever had. I hope to be able to do it again next year!!

    Terrible game but decent atmosphere

    by Kennya on 8/1/23

The game itself was awful as were the toilets. If you are going to have 10 thousand people in a confined space put some thought into garbage and toilets.

    Event Planners Need Improvement

    by Inglis on 8/1/23

The game was interesting in the 2nd half. The fans in my section were really great; what one would expect at a Canadian event; very outgoing and polite. The organization of the event left much to be desired. Food and beverage services were extremely poor. A combination of very few service locations combined with very slow service made for large line-ups that did not move quickly. Food trucks are not quantity food service operations. In addition, there appeared to be only 1 beverage provider, which limited choices. The lavatory facilities (port-a-potties) were similarly inadequate; not enough and not centralized vs. distributed. As a result, long line-ups that did not move quickly and capacities that were exceeded. One element that was well organized and adequately staffed were the entry points to the game.

    Fun time at CFL

by Big Sports Fan! on 8/1/23

We had a nice time at the game and enjoyed our day. Three things are in need of changing. 1. Bathrooms are way too far away from the seating area for the game. I would have enjoyed additional beverages however it wasn't worth the very long walk. 2. We had to stand in a long food line to get a bottle of water. It should be a separate tent by itself and the water was warm. It was a very hot day. 3. The seating is too jammed in and we constantly had to move to let people in and out. Although we enjoyed the game itself and think it is good for the city, we would like to see those things improved. The folks selling food worked hard and the free giveaways were appreciated. The sideline shows were nice and the players were great!
