I bought Marlies tickets as a birthday gift for my significant other and we both enjoyed the game. It was also my first-ever Marlies/hockey game, so that was pretty cool too :) haha.

  • not a bad place for a game

    by kaboom23 on 3/28/18Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

first time at the arena, bit small and slightly oddly laid out in the concourse but that's about right for the AHL. good crowd, great in game entertainment, plus Sparks got a shutout, so it was overall a great time!

  • Understaffed Minor Hockey

by Gorsht on 2/13/18Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

I have been to many Marlies games with my son in the past, and have recommended the experience to many friends. No longer. There are new security requirements for entry, and by my count they only had three scanners to process nearly 7,000 fans at Ricoh's only entrance. It took us more than 30 minutes to get from the front door to the ticket scanners, a distance of less than 100 feet. In addition, there were only 2 (two) staff at Ricoh's only souvenir stand. Again, for nearly 7,000 fans. Come on. We spent more time waiting in line than watching the game. I hope MLSE sorts this out as interest in this excellent Marlies team grows.

Even though the Utica Comets lost. It was still a fun time at the Ricoh.

  • Kid-Friendly Hockey

I came up from the States with my sons on vacation. There is nothing like it in the US. They involve kids in several aspects of the event. Youth hockey players in Canada are very lucky!

  • Marlies vs Crunch

by ColtsDobber on 2/8/17Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Almost NHL level in all aspects for 15% of the price in the Platinum seating area. Be aware that if you buy tickets in advance (ie 5 tickets for Christmas presents) you are not allow to print them until 48 hours in advance which made it a challenge to get the tickets to the two cars given distance traveled.

  • No SHIRT!!!

by skyfyre on 11/29/16Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The game was good. Marlies won that day BUT they never gave us shirts. The area where we are seated was ignored by people who are giving out shirts.

  • Ricoh Coliseum

    by PettyFan73 on 5/28/16Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We attended the third game of the AHL Conference Finals at Ricoh Coliseum. We liked the facility and the team we follow won the game. Concessions are adequate and priced fairly reasonably for a pro sports event venue. We rode the GO Train to and from the game and stayed about thirty minutes by train away; there is a station adjacent to Ricoh. This was the best option because there is considerably heavy traffic on the Toronto downtown highways. The only caution for fans attending the game in warmer weather is that the air conditioning system is quite good and the vents push a lot of air into the mid-rows of the arena. We were in row H and were cold; the next game we wore more than a t-shirt under our hockey sweaters to compensate. Fans were fairly friendly given we were wearing opposing teams sweaters.
