    Toopy and Binoo were great!

Show was great but intermission was far too long. Lost a lot of the 2-3 year olds.

    Oh Toopy

by downtownpeggy on 1/31/11Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

I've definitely seen better shows for kids, but my son loves Toopy and Binoo and was so excited to see them in person that it was worth it. I didn't like the octopus lady.

This was a great show, we just found the 15 minute intermission a little long for the little ones to deal with. They didn't really want to sit back down afterwards to continue to watch the show.

    Perhaps a bit too long?

by Teacloth on 1/25/11Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Toopy and Binoo of course were delightful for the children. I wish that the performances for children's eventscould be shorter and not have an intermission. I think that a 35-45 minute show would have been just perfect for the clientele that were attracted to this event. The intermission gives the little ones a chance to stretch their legs but they also get very "wound-up" and during the second half, I felt like I was sitting in the middle of an ant hill. Once again, the sound system at the Jubilee made it difficult to understand the dialogue of the characters.

    Kids loved it!!

by twosmallkids on 1/18/11Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The kids had a great time! Our kids are two and four and this was definitely geared toward that age group. The show kept their attention for the most part. Intermission was well scheduled and broke up the show nicely for the younger audience members.

It was so slow my toddler fell asleep

by Wil2 on 1/17/11Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

We were really looking forward to this as fans of the cartoon (she loves Binoo so much we PVR it for her) and unfortunately it was a snore. The Octopus tried but the whole show could have been better...Franklin, Sesame street were all better. My toddler has the patience to sit thru 2 hr cartoon movies yet she wanted to leave after 15 min...she fell asleep before it was over and we had to make our discreet way out. My 5 yr old wanted to leave within 10 min...and I have to admit I was dozing myself. Too much other stuff that didnt seem related to T & B.

    Costuming was really creative!

by Kath3 on 1/10/11The Centre In Vancouver for Performing Arts - Vancouver

All 3 of my grandchildren loved it - 2 seven year olds and a three year old. My daughter and I both thought the costuming made it appealing to adults as well. My favorite costumes were the sheep - big smiles every time I saw them. I enjoyed the songs, but I don't think they held the attention of the younger kids. The late start and the long intermission gave the kids time to work off a little energy but then get really high again.
