The stage name Too Short is a bit of an oxymoron for a rapper who launched his career in the early 1980s and continues to impress audiences with songs like "The Ghetto" and "Blow the Whistle." One of the major pioneers of West Coast rap, Too Short has maintained a productive career for over three decades. The legendary emcee performs infrequently, yet tickets to his shows are a hot commodity as fans line up to hear his extensive musical works that span 19 albums, 10 of which have earned gold or platinum status. No tour has been announced for 2014, although Too Short is expected to perform a concert or two over the course of the year. Too Short re-emerged in 2006 with "Blow the Whistle," peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, his highest selling and most critically acclaimed album in years. He followed up with "Get Off The Stage" (2007), "Still Blowin'" (2010) and "No Trespassing" (2012). Along with "Still Blowin'" and "No Trespassing," Too Short has performed a variety of guest tracks for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, 50 Cent, Lil' Jon, Scarface and Wiz Khalifia. He is also featured on Lady Gaga's track "Jewels and Drugs" alongside T.I. and Twista.
Too Short was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area and started performing in the early '80s with friend Freddy B. He released his first studio album, "Born to Mack," in 1987. Too Short helped build the West Coast scene and was instrumental in the work of fellow California rappers Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. He also collaborated with The Notorious B.I.G. and Scarface. Too Short continued to build his rap empire throughout the 1990s and 2000s and was honored by VH1 as a Hip-Hop Legend.

Although Trina canceled due to weather delays, I'm glad it was her and not them!!! Short Dawg did his thang too!!! Still love Twista!!!!
I haven't been to a music performance in OAKLAND in many moons and it was very nice to get dressed in my attire , have fond memories of being out among folks my age , good food drink & bomb etc... good way to birthday !
Great show for old school rap lovers. Show was better in 2016; bit still worth the money.
AWESOME AWESOME CONCERT. I REALLY ENJOYED MYSELF FOR MY BESTFRIEND BIRTHDAY. THANKS FOR THE GREAT SHOW!
These tickets were very expensive. My two friends and I have been Too Short fans for a long time, finally we got a chance to see him live! This show was exceptionally crappy or we just don't understand how hip hop shows work. Too Short was very late to arrive/perform. Too Short performed for less than a half hour and then literally the music stopped. No explanation, no good night, no thanks for coming out, nothing, just silence. After a few minutes of people gathering on stage the group exited the stage and the lights came on. We were pissed. However, when he was on stage it was great... for approx. 28 minutes. This money would have been better spent on beer. Too Short, your set was, well, too short. Bummed.
My husband & I went to this concert in Mobile, Al. Everything was good, we got what we paid for. Everyone showed up except Project Pat. One of my favorite chick rappers showed up even though she wasn't on the roster (Gangsta Boo). Great show!
Glad I didn't miss this once in a lifetime concert. May never see all the greats performing in the same building again.
Best show I have been to thus far in my life. Great Artists!!!
It was better than I expected! The energy was great. Loved it.
THE SHOW WAS AMAZING. TOO SHORT CAME HARD AND THE LIVE BAND WAS AMAZING. THEN TO HAVE FAB AND RICHIE RICH AND E40 ALL SHOW UP MADE IT EVEN MORE AMAZING. THE CROWD WAS JUST LIKE OAKLAND...DIVERSE. IT WAS PROBABLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE VENUES I'VE EVER BEEN TO.
Great show! Nothing like tha bay to have another great performance from an favorite artists! I would love to see him again!
The show was amazing!!! Looking forward to his next one!!! Please do more Too Short shows!!
Show was next level. $hort killed it, did almost everything I wanted to hear. Vibe was OG and perfect for a night in Oakland. Those songs were damn near emotional for even the hardest nugs.
The venue was pretty cool. I even got to watch the entire show from the stage. The only bad part is the show was really short due to Too Short not starting his performance till after 1:30am and club closed at 2:15am.
This man, just gets better in time, like fine wine! He puts on an amazing show & Im so glad I didn't miss him at how the west one. I hope he performs till he's 100.
Terrible experience. Too Short didnt come on till 1230, played 4 songs in under 20 minutes and left. What a joke!!!
Was a little worried at first because of other reviews I read..but tickets were a gift from my brother..we had dinner there which was delicious! The tickets we had said vip and cost a little more but I don't think its necessary to pay more because we asked our waitress for one of the tables in the front and she gave us exactly what we wanted without even looking at our tix..I was totally satisfied with too shorts performance my husband is a big fan and he was happy!
This was THE worst show that I've EVER been to. He showed up 3 hours late. the openers were way better than Too Short. It turned into a giant DJ fest, I didn't pay to see some DJ I paid to see too short. In the time that we were waiting listening to this DJ, 3 fights broke out. When he finally showed up he did a few half-assed songs then walked off the stage. He was clearly intoxicated. He didn't do any of his hit songs. It was a total waste of time and money. I was very disappointed. Do not bother seeing this guy. even if the tickets were free i wouldn't see him.
He didnt even show up until 1am and the concert was over by 2am. He sang a few songs and then let some young people he brought that he was trying to promote sing songs. I didnt who they were, nor did I pay to see or hear them. Terrible!!
