The stage name Too Short is a bit of an oxymoron for a rapper who launched his career in the early 1980s and continues to impress audiences with songs like "The Ghetto" and "Blow the Whistle." One of the major pioneers of West Coast rap, Too Short has maintained a productive career for over three decades. The legendary emcee performs infrequently, yet tickets to his shows are a hot commodity as fans line up to hear his extensive musical works that span 19 albums, 10 of which have earned gold or platinum status. No tour has been announced for 2014, although Too Short is expected to perform a concert or two over the course of the year. Too Short re-emerged in 2006 with "Blow the Whistle," peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, his highest selling and most critically acclaimed album in years. He followed up with "Get Off The Stage" (2007), "Still Blowin'" (2010) and "No Trespassing" (2012). Along with "Still Blowin'" and "No Trespassing," Too Short has performed a variety of guest tracks for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, 50 Cent, Lil' Jon, Scarface and Wiz Khalifia. He is also featured on Lady Gaga's track "Jewels and Drugs" alongside T.I. and Twista.
Too Short was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area and started performing in the early '80s with friend Freddy B. He released his first studio album, "Born to Mack," in 1987. Too Short helped build the West Coast scene and was instrumental in the work of fellow California rappers Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. He also collaborated with The Notorious B.I.G. and Scarface. Too Short continued to build his rap empire throughout the 1990s and 2000s and was honored by VH1 as a Hip-Hop Legend.

The Lit and Loud tour was fire West Coast baby 😁 Lrts go some more all we needed was E 40 another day show
The venue was fine. There was no problem with parking, food, or drinks. Warren G wasn't even there. Too Short only played a few songs and didn't even know where he was. There were several intermissions, between each artist, that lasted a long time. There was no music or any entertainment during this time. The downtime felt almost equal to the amount of time the artists were on stage. I was very excited to see this concert. However, next time I will definitely be skipping them if they come back. I wasn't the only one expressing dissatisfaction. I could hear the people around me grumbling as well. The concert started strong and everyone was on their feet, but ended with the good majority of people sitting.
Lit and Loud was fun as hell. This was my 4th time seeing Too Short. My first time seeing everyone else. While I love Too Short... I went for Yung Joc and Petey Pablo. And those 2 were EPIC!!!!! THANKS LIVE LA EVENTS FOR THE TOUR!!!!
Great concert old school rap I was in High School when Too Short came out
I fell like I need a refund that short show I think he have like 6 songs the personal talking went to long he got distracted and wrap up the concert in 40 minutes. I can believe that it was so short
We love the Sound Board venue. Too Short was absolutely on point when singing his hits. However, he spent way too much time talking to the birthday women from the crowd and then some women claiming to be his cousin. The rest of the audience felt cheated out of more songs and did not leave the venue on a high note.
The show started late. There could have been an opening act. The DJ was good. I enjoyed Too Short, but he talked entirely too much. His whole family reunion should have waited until after the show.
Show tirned into a function, just bringing people on stage for no real reason, dj really wasnt in tune with much. Was a real disappointment and probably wouldnt consider another too short show by himself. Came for the music and we got 25 minutes of him just talking to people.
I’ve loved Too $hort since 1988. So I was ecstatic to finally get a chance to see him live especially at my favorite venue. The show began almost 45 minutes late. Then unfortunately, the second half of the remaining time was focused either on his new found family member in the audience or the birthday chicks onstage. After he finally moved on, there was only time for one last song. These kind of performances don’t usually take place in that kind of venue but usually a club instead so that everyone knows what to expect. Needless to say, I was disappointed.
