Tony Bennett, born Anthony Dominick Benedetto in Queens, New York in 1926, is one of the most popular crooners in history, having sold over 50 million records worldwide and won 17 Grammy Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. He started singing at an early age and fought in Europe during WWII before returning stateside. Bennett played concerts with Bob Hope in 1949 and released two No. 1 singles in 1951, Because of You and Cold, Cold Heart. He put out fourteen albums between 1951 and 1961, as well as the 1953 single Rags to Riches that reached No. 1, before the release of his platinum selling 1962 album I Left My Heart in San Francisco. A string of commercially unsuccessful albums in the late 1960s and 1970s followed during the rise of rock and roll, but Bennett returned to form with The Art of Excellence in 1986, and saw a reintroduction of his musical style to younger generations in the 1990s. He released the gold albums Perfectly Frank in 1992 and Steppin’ Out in 1993, and won the Grammy Awards for Album of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance with 1994’s MTV Unplugged: Tony Bennett, selling over one million copies. 1996’s Duets: An American Classic and 2011’s Duets II also became platinum selling successes. With no signs of slowing down, Bennett continues to record and tour, playing for ticket holders in the U.S. throughout 2013 and 2014.

fab show , he was amazing ! except he forgot I wanna be around to pick up the pieces, when somebody breaks your heart
Took my Mom and I had low expectations for the show. Tony is truly amazing for his age. He can still hit the notes and gave a wonderful performance. His musicians were excellent. His opening act, his daughter, I could live without. My mom (age 89) was in heaven and can't stop thanking us for taking her.
Tony Bennet gave an amazing show. He still has the voice and the moves. A must see
We really enjoyed Tony Bennett. He is an incredibly great performer and I am so thrilled we got to see him. It was a fabulous show. he sang nonstop and he was great and backed by a wonderful quartet However, the "crowd control" at Ceasars left something to be desired. People came in late to be seated and they stood and rudley talked while he was performing, makng it unpleasant for those of us who were there on time and trying to enjoy the performance. People are just rude these days I guess. Once everything quieted down we could enjoy the show.
SO amazing. speechless. Tony's ability to entertain surpassed my expectations!
A CLASS ACT.. WISH HE WOULD OF DID AN ENCORE... BUT HE DIDN'T
Totally entertaining, still has the chops to sing!
Tony Bennett is worth the price of admission. Show started a bit slow, however it built as he sang some of his better known songs leaving you wanting more.
Mr. Bennett was cool. Amazing phrasing. A unique, strong, vibrant voice. It was a great musical program, and Mr. Bennett interjected some wonderful information on his career. The band was excellent. It was an exciting, fun, heart warming, and really cool evening, in he hands of real professionals. Mr. Bennett is an American treasure. It was very nice to have three opening songs by his daughter, Antonia. A duet would have been great.
Tony Bennett was everything I expected and more. His songs were insperational and the quartet was also terrific. His voice has not changed much over the years.I was impressed. I have never attended a show at Caesars Atlantic City but no matter were you had seats, you had no trouble viewing the show.
On August 3, Tony Bennett will turn 83 - an age when many singers have retired, or should have. This is definitely not the case with Mr. Bennett. I've been seeing him in concert as often as I can, and at last night's performance (and the 2 people that I was with agreed), he really sounded BETTER than he did the last time we saw him. I've heard him do most of the songs he performed many times, but he did add a few "new" songs to the show. Tony's daughter, Antonia, opened for him and did 3 numbers which were also great. (How does the old saying go? "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." I certainly would enjoy seeing her do a full concert on her own.) So she did about 15 minutes, leaving Tony with ONLY an hour and a quarter instead of his usual hour and a half. I hope to see Tony - and Antonia - for many years to come.
he aws terriffic. he continues to put great energy in his performance and still hits the high notes
