Few singers in recent decades have demonstrated the widespread appeal and staying power of Toni Braxton, the smoky-voiced alto who can deftly move from R&B to pop to Broadway with impressive ease. Toni first mesmerized fans in the ‘90s with heartrending radio hits like “Breath Again” and “Unbreak My Heart,” both would undoubtedly be lead contenders for best break-up song of the decade. She would continue to rule the ‘90s, with fans worldwide clamoring for tickets to watch her perform tunes like “Another Sad Love Song,” “You Mean the World to Me” and “You’re Makin’ Me High,” with her signature sultry voice and seductive moves. In 1998, she made a history-making career move by playing the part of Belle in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast on Broadway – the first African American woman to play the role. Having proven her acting chops and vocal versatility on the stage, she went on to star in another Broadway production – Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida . She continues to perform live, singing fan favorites like “Spanish Guitar,” “Yesterday,” “I Heart You,” and “Hurt You” along with her winning ‘90s repertoire. Toni cites Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Anita Baker as influences, while a newer generation of fans have compared her to artists like Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, and Fantasia Barrino.
Toni Braxton with her sister Towanda rocked the house! The stage lighting was interactive with the vocals and Toni was on point every second! She is an outstanding performer who enjoys and appreciates her audience. Toni's mic kept going out and there were several sound issues that were beyond Toni's control but she handled it with style and grace.
Toni's stage presence is amazing and she keeps the audience going with her amazing voice as well as her humor! Also, she is as beautiful in person as she is on any magazine!
She was absolutely gorgeous!! Great show. Me and my boyfriend went and we both really enjoyed her performance. Sang all her hits!!
I don't know if it was the sound system, the balancing of the sound, or a lack of strength in Toni's voice but something was off. But she looked beautiful and it was a treat to see her for a very reasonable ticket price.
Braxton got shortchanged by a very spotty and poor sound system.....a couple of times she even asked the audience if we could hear her! She tried to put on a great show, but the audio system didn't support her - she was performing with one hand tied behind her back. I don't understand why they didn't attempt to fix things during the performance. The guy on the keyboards would occasionally fiddle with his MAC pc after she would give him a look like "what's going on?", but it didn't seem to help.
Concert was Good, but way to short. Lasted just over an hour, expected at least two hours.
The concert was too short. I expected two hours of performance rather than one. The sound system was terrible. Frankie Beverly and Maze did not have an opening act and he performed (it seems to me) well over two hours and he's 64/65 in age. C'mon I think Toni Braxton could/should have done better than that.
The concert was awesome. The venue would be better if it had recessed seating but overall was a great spot. I wish it would have lasted longer but it was well worth the money.

Toni Braxton is a Superb Live Artist. Saw her twice (as a kid during the Secrets tour and as an adult in 2010, San Diego). She is an elegant, well groomed, professional and energetic artist with great taste. Unfortunately, some of her best material is rarely heard. I think Toni is the kind of artist that defies age and time and will be able to tour well into age, her work is timeless.
