Tommy Emmanuel & David Grisman Tickets

This was a gift to my guitar playing husband. He's in his sixties and at the finish he turned to me and said, "this is the best concert I've EVER been to!". 'Nuff said!

Trey Hensley and Rob Ickes were great! Tommy Emmanuel is always excellent. David Grisman was complementary, but tasteful as expected, The real treat is seeing Hensley and Ickes, Hensley is an amazing player both with flat pick and finger style, Ickes is wonderful as a soloist and accompanist, His playing is much preferable in style to Jerry Douglas' latest. But i love both their contributions to Americana, See this if you can!

I am privileged that I got to see this amazing concert! Hearing two legendary performers play together in a small venue like Ames Center was awesome. I was totally absorbed in their music. I have been listening to their CD, Picked, in the car ever since the concert!

I came to see Tommy but at most he played rhythm guitar for David. I like mandolin but not every song. I wanted to here Tommy solo and he only had two songs that were solo. I don’t mind his guests but not the entire show.

We have watched Tommy play on PBS but so worth seeing him in person. Trey has a wonderful voice and think he will go far!! Dwag and Roy were wonderful too!! This is a must see show!!

All four are serious musicians. Absolutely top notch playing and good fun personalities too.
