    Disappointiung Tom Rush Event

by Bob on 10/12/21The Cabot - Beverly

We were very disappointed to see 3 proteges of Tom and not Tom! Tom did not even make the stage in the first 1/2 of the evening. Then he could not have sung 8 songs interspersed with the entertainment of 2 young, talented folks. But we paid to hear him! By 11:00 pm we left!

    Prefer simple and clear

by Carolyn on 10/12/21The Cabot - Beverly

Kotke and Rush are two icons with loads of talent. I would have preferred, and expected, a show of each of them alone - maybe doing a couple pieces together. I thought all the loud jazzy new talent (and not so talented) muddied up the show for me.

    dissappointed

by sartz on 10/12/21The Cabot - Beverly

I thought I was going to see Tom Rush not 2 other performers I never heard of. Not enough of Tom Rush and he did not play the old favorites.

Nice to see and hear these old guys again.

Good music. Excellent seats in a terrific venue (Cabot Theater in Beverly, MA). Fun time reminiscing about my younger days.

    Tom Rush Club 47...GREAT!

by AJDinSalem on 10/12/21The Cabot - Beverly

This was a fantastic show! Leo Kottke opened with his own style and brand...fantastic and really got us going. Tom never seems to get old, and still he makes us laugh and inspires us to reminisce about the old Club 47 days. Matt Naoka is one of the most talented musicians, coming up with Tom's help. I've seen Matt several times, and he's wonderful. Monica Rizzio, plays the fiddle like she was born with it. And, her voice is rich and full. All in all, a wonderful experience. Well done, and Kudo's to the Cabot!!

We could not be happier with the staff or performers. Tom, Leo and the kids were great?

This is my second time seeing Tom Rush. It was awesome. He is such a funny guy. I have NEVER laughed so much at a concert. Matt Nakoa was also very very good. I enjoy listening to them. They are really great together.

Just a Great show, along with Matt, outstanding. Love Tom

by Pete on 3/20/19Birchmere - Alexandria

Love the Birchmere, it is just the right size for showcasing performers such as Tom, and his side kick Matt is one terrific guy, that ads even more to his showmanship.

    Hilarious

by Larry on 3/19/19Birchmere - Alexandria

Some of the songs contained jokes that were extremely funny. The accompaniment was an extremely talented young artist who played the piano extremely well. We enjoyed the performance!

Most amazing music and just plain good time. Go Enjoy!

by Vikeyjean on 2/19/19Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Just the best music you will ever hear. He keeps his venues small enough to be personal. Large enough to be fun. Adding the outstanding gifted Matt Nakoa o enhance the arrangements and do some of his own beautiful music made this the best concert I have ever attended in my life. Go dear music buffs. No matter what genre is your favorite. You will become a Tom Rush addict with one show. Thanks

    He’s still got it!

by M. F. on 2/18/19Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

I loved Tom Rush as a teenager, and 50 years later, he confirmed that love. He still sounds great. His interaction with the audience set a perfect atmosphere. Ponte Vedra Music Hall is a wonderful venue with clear acoustics.

    Tom Rush is a Legend

by RushFan101 on 7/30/18Old Whaling Church - Edgartown

And he's still got it. He has the voice, the musical talent and heart, all in one wonderful package. Moreover, he performed this concert as a benefit for the local radio station!

    AWESOME

by KayEngishTeacher on 7/29/18Old Whaling Church - Edgartown

Tom Rush is better than ever. Impressive guitar virtuosity, a poet, super scary smart, funny as in humorous, the Martha’s Vineyard crowd loved him, sold out performance. Great to hear new songs and old favorites. We desperately need this inspiration and genius today.

    Tom Rush concert was fantastic!

by Vineyardfan on 7/28/18Old Whaling Church - Edgartown

Tom Rush put on a terrific 2.5 hour concert. I have followed him for many years and he just gets better and better. For the past 3 years he has had Matt Nakoa playing with him (piano, some vocals, and one solo song with guitar). He is extremely talented and a wonderful addition to Tom's concert. Tom combines wonderful music (some old chestnuts and some from his new album) with humor and charm!

    Tom is great!

    by GEG1 on 3/27/18Birchmere - Alexandria

Tom was great! His voice remains strong and his range is amazing for any age, much less 77. He's also very funny, and his musicianship remains at a high level! And the Birchmere is flat out the best music venue! Tom is touring with 32-year old pianist and guitarist/singer songwriter Matt Nakoa. This guy is a star! Got the voice, technical skill, and looks to draw a crowd! And the two together is an evening you should not miss!

    Tom Rush Continues to Shine

by BostonFollower on 3/27/18Birchmere - Alexandria

Tom Rush continues to deliver a wonderfully engaging performance despite having done this for over 50 years. His storytelling ability, excellent guitar playing, and selection of wonderful songs made the evening a wonderful experience.
