Back in the early 70's I went by myself in Atlanta Georgia to see Bread perform at the Municipal Auditorium. If my memory serves me correctly, Eric Carmen was the warm-up beforehand. Now, approximately 50+ years later, I was able to relive some of my youthfulness. Not intentionality, I again went by myself as my date could not attend. Strange coincidence! The intimate BJCC Theater in Birmingham, Alabama, seats 1,000 people with fantastic sound acoustics. That's the background of the evening. For the show itself, get ready for Toast - or was it Bread? It was that good. People were singing to the songs and even some had tears in their eyes (not referring to me!!). I typically do not like "tribute bands,"but this was an exception. The lead singer, Jeff Clark hit every note as if he was David Gates. The band is very talented. They jammed during many songs showing their talents, especially on "Guitar Man."This was a fantastic show and for Bread fans, this is the "Ultimate Bread Experience."Don't miss them if they come your way.
We were blown away! Can’t say enough good things about this group. The talent of each one was just unbelievable. Closed my eyes and couldn’t tell it wasn’t Bread. If they ever come back to our area we will certainly go see them again. So so good!
Everything was "Wonderful", and I loved it to say the least!
I had an absolute wonderful experience listening and singing along with Toast. I brought my best friend with me and it brought back memories of our youth. Thank you Toast for a wonderful evening ❤️💋❤️💋
The show was amazing. We had excellent seats, very nice venue. I would return to this venue for another concert !
Great concert. Jeff Clark’s vocals were outstanding. You’d think David Gates himself was up on stage. They played many of the top hits and included interesting facts behind the songs. Rich Bischoff on lead guitar was awesome and had a great guitar solo. Just wish they would have included “Trucking” in their playlist. Very entertaining- would attend again. Keep it up Toast!!!
What a great tribute band for Bread! They sang all of the well known songs Bread recorded plus a few extras. It was so nice to listen to all of the familiar tunes from when I was a teenager (without a care in the world). Great performance Toast!! I hope you come back to Davenport Iowa.
This was such a great concert....memories were brought up and seriously the whole audience sang along with each song. Sang all Bread's great songs and gave some good history about the original band members! Great concert!!
This band offered up songs from Bread that very closely matched Breads iconic sound and also a historic view of David Gates and other original band members. Very much worth going to.
They nailed it! Got to rock out some, and best of all we got to revisit those special feelings of listening to Bread over 50 years ago. It was good for our soul. We go to many concerts a year (it's our thing), and this was up there with our favorites because it brought out all the feelings. Thank you "Toast"for a truly memorable evening that touched our hearts
Excellent in ever way! Loved the mucus and warmth of the lead singer!.loved every minute.
Toast was the most amazing group we have ever seen . The talent of each member was phenomenal! Jeff Clark was funny, engaging and entertaining with the crowd ! I would recommend going to see them live anytime , and I have !!! I regret not meeting them after the show , I was feeling ill and could not remain in line Next time !!! Cannot say enough about these musical performances by Toast . Much love ❤️!!!
This cover band was great! We had such a fun date night and will definitely see them again!
The concert was nice. They sang all the hits and told stories. It lasted long with a nice intermission They sounded like the original band members.
Great experience at the Goodyear Theatre in Akron, Ohio. I heard they might be coming to Sandusky, Ohio! If confirmed, I will buy tickets as soon as possible! What a wonderful evening with my wife, sister, and brother-in-law. My brother-in-law who is tough on ever giving a a 10 gave it a 9.8. Keep in mind he gave Walt Disney a 8.5!
If you have seen Toast you will understand the title of this post. They are really a great tribute band and you can tell they love the music of Bread. This is my second time seeing them in Akron and would see them a third time. Very entertaining and truly gift musicians.
Excellent tribute band!!! Played all of Bread’s hits. Took us back to the late 60’s and early 70’s. Soft rock at its best!
SO good! SO fun! SO much talent! This tribute band did not disappoint! Would definitely see them next time their back. Thank you!
The band and the musicians were great!!! But our seats were not good. We were row S and our seats were lower that the rows in front of us, so we couldn’t see much of anything. Section two had much better views than section one.
