I was disappointed in the sound. There was to much base and to loud that you couldn't understand the singers when they were singing. I am a freestyle listerner since I was 19 years old. And I just turned 51. That is my music. So hopefully next time they work better at the sound.

About
TKA IN CONCERT:
Latin freestylers TKA have been practicing the art of seduction since breaking onto the scene in the late-‘80s with their hit debut Scars of Love. Often performing in classic tuxedos, the trio sings their dance-infused hits like “One Way Love” and “Don’t Be Afraid” beneath bright lights and elaborate stage design during their live shows. Whether they’re getting the crowd pumped up or dancing in unison on stage, TKA’s electrifying live performances will have audiences on their feet all night long.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
TKA got their start singing at a sweet sixteen party in Harlem, where they attracted the attention of producer Joey Gardner who signed the act to his label Tommy Boy Records in 1984. The trio released their smash hit single “One Way Love” shortly after, launching to stardom within the Latin community. The Spanish-language number “Maria” and pop-heavy track “I Won’t Give Up On You” continued to earn the group widespread acclaim and were featured on their 1992 Greatest Hits album, a record that showcased their ability to blend an array of genres and cultures into their music. Although parting ways for a number of years, TKA reunited with a fresh lineup and new material for the 2001 release Forever, which spawned a collection of Top 40 dance tracks and paved the way for their continued touring. Back on the road, the kings of freestyle will take the stage with legends like Vanilla Ice and George Lamond, to name a few, treating fans to their hit-filled sets along the way.

Overall the event was very good. The sound system was not the best quality. There were multiple times where there was feedback - that ruins it for the audience and distracts the performer. Also - all the talk in between the performances was not necessary and very repetitive. There were enough performers there that all that "filler" talk in between was not necessary and honetly became annoying. Lastly - those were not the real Covergirls!!

FREESTYLE LIVES ON FOREVER
by SNCROCKS on 2/27/14NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 5 out of 5The concert was even better than I expected. It was well worth it even trudging through a snow storm to see all the amazing acts and performances all in one venue through out the entire night. It was amazing to see that the concert went over 5 hours straight with no intermission.
Great time!!

great night out
by Dorata on 2/19/14NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 4 out of 5Even a snow storm couldn't keep people away! Great show/performances were all great. Only problem was trying to get a drink/the lines were all over the place - they really needed to have move people available to serve drinks. They should have people serving beers up/down the aisle like they do at other concerts. You could spend 20 minutes on line, other than that/great show/great venue

Louder Than Love Valentine's Ball
by Hernandez1970 on 2/18/14NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 4 out of 5Very disappointed that we had front row seats and most of the time the stage did not spin and we were blocked by the DJ and all the Band equipment.Disappointed by the lack of security. No one stopped everyone from coming up and crowing the isles. Disappointed with the Cover Girls (the were not the originals) would have been better if Lizette Melendez or Safire performed.
All I can say is "wow'
by Bobarboy on 2/18/14NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 5 out of 5By far, this was the best concert we have seen in a long time. All the acts were great. Sugar Hill and George Lamond were incredible. Sound system was great. They said the would do it again next year. Hope so.
