TKA IN CONCERT:
Latin freestylers TKA have been practicing the art of seduction since breaking onto the scene in the late-‘80s with their hit debut Scars of Love. Often performing in classic tuxedos, the trio sings their dance-infused hits like “One Way Love” and “Don’t Be Afraid” beneath bright lights and elaborate stage design during their live shows. Whether they’re getting the crowd pumped up or dancing in unison on stage, TKA’s electrifying live performances will have audiences on their feet all night long.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
TKA got their start singing at a sweet sixteen party in Harlem, where they attracted the attention of producer Joey Gardner who signed the act to his label Tommy Boy Records in 1984. The trio released their smash hit single “One Way Love” shortly after, launching to stardom within the Latin community. The Spanish-language number “Maria” and pop-heavy track “I Won’t Give Up On You” continued to earn the group widespread acclaim and were featured on their 1992 Greatest Hits album, a record that showcased their ability to blend an array of genres and cultures into their music. Although parting ways for a number of years, TKA reunited with a fresh lineup and new material for the 2001 release Forever, which spawned a collection of Top 40 dance tracks and paved the way for their continued touring. Back on the road, the kings of freestyle will take the stage with legends like Vanilla Ice and George Lamond, to name a few, treating fans to their hit-filled sets along the way.
Awesome concert great performance by all the Freestyle artist. The Venue is small enough that you have a good seat just about anywhere in the arena. Could be a little bit more organize exiting the arena.
Overall, it was a great show! One complaint, there was a security guard who charged at attendees, yelled, fists balled up & raised like he was going to strike/hit anyone of us, myself included. He charged at me numerous times, he, finally, stopped when other attendees stood up to protect me. This is NOT the job or scenery for him.
TKA put on a awesome show along with Judy Torres, Sauve. George Lamond,Cover Girls, Cynthia and the rest of the artists

Easy to retrieve tickets and entry was pretty fast even with the long line. Wish the concession line wasn't so long.
Great concert. Worst drink service I have ever had in my entire life. The girls running the concession were all clueless. Over and hour to get a drink. No control of the line. Took 20 mins per costumer.
TKA, Lime, Suave, and all of the other acts present at the concert were great. However, The Sugar Hill Gang was scheduled to appear, and did not. This would have been one of the highlights of the show, as they have been in the past. I know my friends and I were disappointed when the show ended without any mention of the Sugar Hill Gang.
Music is great, good crowd and concession stand employees were on point.
You was on line waiting for drinks for over an hour. It's disgusting but the concert was great.

Every year the security gets better. The show is always amazing! This year no one ran to the front and knocked people over.it was great!
Tka had gotten better and better over the years.. from vocals and choreography they are untouchable
You’re just not sitting down in this freestyle concert. They keep you on your feet all night long 💃🏻🕺💃🏻🕺the only downside at this amphitheater in Coney Island is the concession stands to get a drink is terrible, you literally wait for more than a hour. They need to improve either with their bartenders or concept of service.
The freestyle show was amazing, the venue was great ,Every act was better then the nxt..Classy show ..So many memories I go every year and it just gets better and better .The only downfall was the lines for the drinks. I waited an hour.They should really come up w another plan for that.Maybe look into having your drinks delivered to your seat..That way it cuts down on people walking around ,and also people passing by your seat to get drinks..Causing a distraction to the show..But overall it was am amazing time.
I was not to happy with how disorganized things were. People were standing everywhere blocking aisle. Smoking weed and cigarettes. Lines to the bar was ridiculous. Other than that the show was good tka put on a hell of a show.

The performors were great! I was disappointed that the venue charged extra just to gain access to the cash bar.
Absolutely amazing. My second show and they always come through. Expecilly this time with a passing storm. Can't wait to see them again.
