About

In 2010, Tinie Tempah officially put England on the hip-hop map with his breakthrough album Disc-Overy, following three years later with Demonstration, which featured the hit singles "Trampoline" and "Children of the Sun." Notorious for his high-energy performances, fans anticipating his tour in Australia and the United Kingdom in March and April 2014 will not be disappointed. Tempah is not only king in his native Great Britain, but has also transformed into an international success here in the United States. Tempah broke out in 2010 with two No. 1 singles, "Pass Out" and "Written in the Stars," off his critically-acclaimed debut, "Disc-Overy." After touring extensively and working in the studio, the rapper released "Demonstration," which features guest appearances from 2 Chainz and John Martin, in November 2013.

The rapper, born Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, was raised in London, and with roots in Nigeria from his parents. He was influenced by hip-hop from an early age and conceived the stage name, Tinie Tempah, after watching the music video for So Solid Crew's "21 Seconds." He produced several mixtapes before releasing "Disc-Overy" in 2010. In February 2011, Tempah was awarded "Best British Breakthrough Act" and "Best British Single" at the Brit Awards after "Pass Out" and "Written in the Stars" not only made him a hero within England but abroad as well. The rapper has also been nominated for various achievements at the MOBO Awards, BET Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards. Regarded for his passionate and high-octane concerts, Tempah will be putting on a show in 2014, where tickets for his upcoming tour are one of the hottest buys in Europe.

  • Hoodie Allen is why we went!

    by momfann2 on 4/24/12Furman Amphitheater - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

GREAT SHOW! Took our teenagers to Furman University to see Hoodie. The venue of the amphitheater was really nice, comfortable and great sound projection off the lake...(made for a comfortable place for us parents, too!) Lots of fun, and the fact that Hoodie endures the throngs of fans after the show for pictures and autographs made the 5 1/2 trip well worth it!

My friend and I took a five hour road trip to see Hoodie Allen at Furman and it was beyond worth it. We were first row for the show and I could have cried it was so amazing. I am so proud of Hoodie Allen and he was so perffffffect. What a man. I'm still speechless and excited about the whole experience, it was so crazy. Overall, it was the best experience of my life.
