Brutal…

An evening with Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, creators of "I Think You Should Leave"
I wouldn’t again. It was very poorly done. Like the worst of podcast, sorta attempts at improv, and a live airing of unseen footage which was mediocre at best. Love you Tim.
I would have preferred a bonus episode on Netflix instead of this.
It was great to see some characters from the show with some footage of the sketches. Very good time!
It was a cool concept, but I wish there was more. Especially with the special guests, I wanted to hear more with them. One of the main guests was brought out last, was on stage for maybe 10-15 minutes max, and had a chance to say maybe a couple sentences. I was expecting a little more than just watching unaired clips (which was awesome don’t get me wrong!) but with more commentary. Ideally, all the guests would have been introduced at the beginning. The clip would have played. Maybe each clip a guest had a question about the clip/production of it. They discuss.
I just don’t understand how they have a show in an hour. Felt way too short. I enjoyed the guests and the skits were good but there should have been more interaction with crowd
Was really looking forward ITYSL Live in Chicago as I’m a big fan of Tim’s from not only I Think You Should Leave but also Detroiters and Champaign ILL. I don’t know that what I saw at the Chicago Theatre can even really be considered a ‘show’. The deleted sketches were great but they were such a small portion of what we got and certainly not worth the price of admission. Everything else was a waste of time as it felt like we were watching people have a private conversation that was meant to engage the participants onstage but not the audience. And the event itself just came across as braggy and self-serving. Big fan of these guys but this seemed like nothing more than a low effort cash grab that didn’t include any actual humor. I expected much better.
I'm thinking that we just might Fly away to someplace They don't know Who we are.
We are huge ITYSL and Tim Robinson fans so we were very excited for this show. We were so disappointed in what seemed like a total cash grab. The show was disjointed, thrown together, and was not funny aside from the unseen clips they showed. They brought out a “fake” second city comedian which fell completely flat. Also, charging $50 for a screen printed t shirt is insane. Way to f over the fans.
The show had its moments that were amusing but overall it felt like a missed opportunity for them to do a bit more. They showed clips and half-heartedly discussed if they should’ve included them in the TV show. No talk of how the skits were conceived or why they were left out really. I think I would’ve enjoyed the show more if I hadn’t paid $185 USD per ticket (Sec. F2 row EE).
Not what I was expecting, seems like a money grab. Cast sitting on couch discussing the show. Not worth it
This show was billed as I Think You Should Leave Live, so I was expecting live sketches, but what we got was a night of DVD extras with some bland banter in between from people not associated with the show. I think they should have been clearer that this would just be a presentation of deleted scenes from the show because I would not have spent $100 for that.
Fantastic show, Tim Robinson is a gem and it was great to have Sam Richardson with him. They are both so talented and funny! Was a great show packed with laughs! Very impressed to see the warm welcomes and rousing standing ovations they both received.
Drove over 1200 miles to go to this show. It was everything I could have hoped and dreamed for. Thank you Tim Robinson.
Show wasn’t funny or what I expected it to be and I like Tim robinson
We had no idea what to expect from the show. It ended up being a viewing of already recorded sketches (all of which were hilarious), combined with random jokes and commentary from Tim, Zach and guests. The show format felt forced and improvised. The overall feeling was strained and weird, which is maybe appropriate given the nature of the series... Overall it was disappointing. We'll remain fans of the show, but steer clear of any future events like this.
Absolutely love Tim Robinson. My favorite show of all time is I Think You Should Leave & going to this event was fantastic
I had no expectation for the show, and loved it - seeing extended show clips and new pre-recorded material was amazing! Guests were top notch, but the live element on the couch felt a little rough. Nix the compilation of songs at the end, but keep "Friday Night"song. Love the show, loved seeing the team live on stage.
