    Fun with couples

by Oops10 on 8/15/11Kimberly Clark Theater Fox Cities Pac - Appleton

Sister had a very quick wit. The night we attended she picked a young couple and a couple who were on their second date for the family fued section. All four people were good sports. However, the time keeper tried to out wit Sister.

The show was ok. The nun did a great job in her performance. I guess I was expecting more of the Catholic lessons. Not worth 40 bucks a ticket.

It is very funny. Especially if you are 1) Married or about to be married 2) Catholic (of course) and 3) 40+ in age (there are some references to things that my generation doesn't really understand. I do think it is incredible to see married couples at the event who have been married for 50+ years and it is pretty inspiring.

    A Disappointment

by Toobies on 8/12/11Kimberly Clark Theater Fox Cities Pac - Appleton

I have seen the first two segments of Late Night and loved them. This, however, was a real disappointment. I brought two sets of friends with me since I thought they would enjoy it but I felt a little embarrased that I had told them that it was so funny as this one was not. The woman who played Sister could have had so many more opportunities for being funny. I just didn't laugh at this one. We also had a difficult time hearing some of the dialog.

Yes, I laughed some, but not overly funny. More for the 50+ crowd.

Top Death Do Us Part was funny!

by Rjhollin69 on 8/8/11Kimberly Clark Theater Fox Cities Pac - Appleton

I thought Sister Mary was very good. The show was a little different that I had anticipated. I thought this was going to be a musical of some sort, only to find it to be a "one woman show". I probable missed something in the marketing literature, but was disappointed for the money I spent.

    Missed opportunities

by baglady5185 on 8/6/11Kimberly Clark Theater Fox Cities Pac - Appleton

Premise: content addressing sacraments of marriage and anointing of the sick. Reality - a "dating game" competition took most of the time, actress was dominated by the participants though she did great improv at the beginning with crowd-sourcing "who has been married the longest?" Perhaps most of the jokes have been taken by the earlier version of LNC but I blame / credit the writing, not the actress, for missing the opportunity to get more into Catholic marriage rituals and end-of-life beliefs. Pre-marriage training was largely untouched, nothing about finding the right "Catholic" girl/boy, nothing about -pre-marital or extra-marital adventures, mixed marriage, divorce, annulment, scant ribbing of raising Catholic kids. Seems like a lot was left on the table.

Loved 'Til Death Do Us Part

by OldBroad102 on 8/6/11Kimberly Clark Theater Fox Cities Pac - Appleton

This performance brought back so many memories from my past, having spent 8 years of my life in Catholic schools. I went with friends and we can all laugh now about some of those childhood experiences, which definitely were't funny back then. Sister was a combination of all the nuns I had, and put a wonderfully funny spin on things were took so seriously back in the '60's. Thanks for a great evening.

    We had a great time!

by Richard2010 on 5/30/11Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Sister was terrific. We did miss Maripat not performing. She'll always be our favorite. But the Sister ran a good class and kept us all in line. Kudos!

Don't know the last time that I've laughed so much! But what I liked about it the most was that it was good, clean, humor appropriate for anyone. There was no swearing or sexual content and yet the material and delivery was uproariously funny!

Great show, but too much time on games!

by BobLoCaptain on 3/1/11Gem Theatre - Detroit

More scripted catechism humor needed. Less time spent on games. Instructions to parts 2 and 3 of game were confusing to older contestants. Aged need simpler rules.

    Till Death Do Us Part

    by Zuzu123 on 2/28/11Gem Theatre - Detroit

Fall of your chair funny! If you attended parochial school from the 1950's thru 1970's, you'll feel like you took a step back in time. Only this time sister will have your undivided attention. When class was over you didn't want to leave. You could see the same show 10 times and each time would be different due in large part to the exceptional talent of the shows star performer.

    'Til Death was a blast

by fatfender on 2/26/11Gem Theatre - Detroit

This was a great show and even the non-Catholic patrons enjoyed it. I have seen the first 2 shows of Late Night and they have all been enjoyable. 'Til Death went in a different direction and was just great. Go see it.

    One woman show

    by Destiny0712 on 2/22/11Gem Theatre - Detroit

I thought it would be a play with couples and how they act throughout a courtship. I didnt realize there would only be one actor who spent some amount of time getting the audience to interact with her show. Would have liked to see actors who were married and the tribulations that they would experience over the years. The nun was talking about the Catholic religion and for someone who does not under stand that religion it was hard to follow along with the show

    Remembering Catholic School

by BCSalter on 2/22/11Gem Theatre - Detroit

TIl Death Do Us Part was a series of hilarious flashbacks to our (my wife and I) Catholic school roots. Being able to laugh at the silly memories of the "discipline" our beloved nuns instilled in us, was a collective hit. Our classroom of several hundred, unrelated "students", shared the joy of looking back and cherishing the respect we displayed for our teacher, our religion and ourself.

    Very Funny

by EngagedCouple on 2/21/11Gem Theatre - Detroit

These tickets we a gift to us from my in-laws and it was a great show! It is very interactive so if you do not want to participate do not go, but for us it was great. It also helps if you understand the catholic church but definatly not a requirement. We both found the sister very funny and quick to adjust to the audience. She demands your attention with quips about behavior during the show and even what some were wearing. We have already suggested to friends that they attend and we are planing on attending the new addition for easter.
