Canadian rockers Theory Of A Deadman are back with another batch of odes to hard partying, hard drinking, beautiful women, and living life like there’s no tomorrow. The band’s music is down-and-dirty rock and roll done right, mixed with some swampy blues riffs and a healthy serving of good-ol’-boy country – and they have concerts to match. With booming bass drums, high-impact guitars and stadiums and arenas packed with Deadman fans who are there to party, this is one of the best rock tickets in town. It’s not all high-energy madness, though. Lead singer and songwriter Tyler Connolly has seen some pain, and he's turned it into soft, introspective ballads, like “By the Way” and, from their recent 2011 album, "The Truth Is…," the good-relationship-gone-bad song “Out Of My Head.”
Theory Of A Deadman has been going strong since 2001, when this foursome from the tiny British Columbia, Canada, town of Delta got their big break, becoming the first band to sign to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s newly minted 604 Records. Indeed, Nickelback fans will find a lot to love in Theory Of A Deadman, but the band’s established an identity all their own, with four albums that went platinum in Canada (and one platinum in the States), leading to singles like “Nothing Could Come Between Us,” “Santa Monica” and recent chart-toppers “Lowlife” and “Hurricane,” also from 2011's "The Truth Is…." Since that album, the band’s been a bit quiet, but they’re currently gearing up for another album, which will mean another tour and another chance to see a great night of truly solid rock and roll.
My son & I had floor tickets. We both had a great time. Thank you for visiting Fort Wayne.
The whole show was great the only thing was I had meet and greet with all 3 groups. We only got to meet 2 of them, then we didn't get anything with for the vip package, except the pictures we took with the bands. The guy running us with the photos was kinda rude and told us we could even get autographs. But other then that the concert was great and Skillet Nailed it.
I really enjoyed St Asonia the most, I’ve seen Skillet 6 times now, always amazing. Theory of. Deadman frontman is definitely good and he knows it. Still good, enjoyed all
Awesome!! Second time seeing them & once again, they were great! Can't wait to see them again!
We had VIP tickets to meet theory of a Deadman was awesome show guys from theory are cool and laid back had front row tickets
Great show. Sound and stage present entertaining. Song selection great. We loved Taylor Connolly’s guitars his presented with song theme. This is the second time we have seen them and would go again because I want to hear their new songs off recent alum -medusa.
Great concert experience. Second time seeing them!! Definitely see them again!!
My 3rd time seeing them, and they were great as always!
The reason why I came, was to see theory of a Dead man. However, I was somewhat disappointed by the overall performance. I'm not saying it was bad by any means, but I was expecting better from them. Tyler sounded like a completely different person, the instrumental was slightly off target, and they seemed to just lack the spirit and enthusiasm that they produced in their records. To my surprise, Skillet was incredible. Their robust performance, along with the pleasant surprise from Saint Asonia, made it worth the 3-hour drive and back from Metro Atlanta to Spartanburg. I would give it five stars if it theory of a Deadman was left out of it, but their lackluster performance lowered the overall review to 4 stars.
Had great seats and SAINT ASONIA ROCKED IT!!! Some people asked us to sit down, but the venue founds us some different seats where people were standing… SKILLET WAS INSANE! I loved John Cooper’s message partway through and it was a great transition to “Hero” while still speaking ab our one true hope and salvation — Jesus. I just wish we could have heard “Wolf” featuring John Cooper, that would’ve taken the concert up a notch. Also, Adam Gontier’s skull hand prop was great.
Awesome time. The venue was perfect and all three bands were awesome. The upsale on the beverages was a little steep.... but over all it was a great time, with great performances from all the bands. We really enjoyed it!
All three bands were great! Theory was amazing, Skillet was amazing with a killer light show. Saint Asonia was a pleasant surprise! What a band
Theory of a Deadman and Skillet were awesome! They put on a great show and it was a rocking concert. If you like them go see them. You wont regret it!
3 1/2 hour drive was more than worth it! I rocked it out with my daughter for my 55th birthday! It was awesome! Saint Asonia, and Skillet kept me screaming! Loved it! Huge fan, wished the would come to NC.
Great venue and terrific Bands. Loved Saint Ansonia. Skillet &Theory of a Deadman
Saint Asonia and Skillet rocked the house. My daughter and I had a blast.
Saint Asonia’s mix of originals and songs from yesteryear (3 days grace/apocalyptica) was therapeutic. Skillet was the most powerful, energetic, and entertaining performance of the entire evening. Theory of a Deadman sounded great and played classic rock intro’s to keep the audience guessing what they would hear next. The unique contributions from each band made the Rock Resurrection tour an enjoyable experience for all. Long live Rock and Roll!
The music and venue were both great. Went for Skillet, but liked St Asonia as well. Theory lacked energy and talked too much about failed relationships with women. Overall, OK
Wasn't to familiar with Theory. We mainly went to see the band that came on before Theory. Theory was great! Great sound, great performance and very engaging with the crowd. Will absolutely go to see them again, hopefully soon.
I love both groups. Skillet really put on a show. I love that they are Christian Rock . So happy! Theory of Deadman was good too. To be honest I did not expected that lead singer has such a soft voice. Recordings sounding totally different. Opening group we really did not care for
