About

Theory of a Deadman is the first Canadian rock band to sign with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 2002, Theory of a Deadman has blazed their own path with multiple-platinum albums in Canada, and 2008’s Scars & Souvenirs became one of their bestselling albums worldwide when it reached No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart. Known for their rock anthems and introspective ballads, Theory of a Deadman have found success in Canada and abroad with chart-topping singles like “Bad Girlfriend,” “Rx (Medicate),” “Lowlife” and “History of Violence” — all of them topping Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The Canadian rockers have toured worldwide with bands like Nickelback, Mötley Crüe, Bush, Shinedown and Skillet.

    Great show and great venue

by Kirk on 12/1/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Saw Skillet, Saint Asonia, and Theory of a Deadman at Daily’s Place. I think Tyler was sick because he sounded a little off, but still put on a good show. Skillet was absolutely amazing as always. This was my first time seeing Saint Ansonia but I saw Adam several times years ago with Three Days Grace. Adam is one of the best live performers you’ll see. Daily’s Place might be the nicest amphitheater I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot of them. Looking forward to going back there for another concert soon.

    Disappointed

by Me on 11/30/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Disappointing concert. Wanted to see Theory of a Deadman and I saw one of the lamest concerts I think I have ever seen. Main act was on the least amount of time. Half that time was wasted playing parts of songs by other artists. All new songs no old. Just Disappointing.

    ehh

by needs improvement on 11/30/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Not what I was expecting with Skillet not being the headliner. Also with this being my first time at Daily's the set up is lacking and food & beverage are way over priced for what you get. Daily's could take notes from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, since Daily's is set up like the original Wolfson Park was in the fact that if you went to get something to eat or drink you missed some of the game/show. When the Baseball Grounds were built they definitely took the fans into consideration with putting food & beverage on the concourse and could still watch what you paid money to see while getting items. Or maybe even have people walking around selling items like they do at most all other sporting events.

TOAD was amazing, as was Saint Asonia and my favorite Skillet.

Good concert but organization could be better.

by Basic_B on 11/28/23Salem Civic Center - Salem

Great concert as the bands were fantastic. I purchased a parking pass for the venue but no one was directing the traffic to the preferred parking area. Also, I purchased early entry tickets. I was late arriving. When a staff member asked about any early entries, I told her I bought early entry tickets but then she just ignored me. It was great otherwise and a good experience.

Theory of a Deadman - First time seeing them

by Jess on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

St. Asonia was great. Skillet had a lot of energy and crowd was into it. Really came to see Theory of a Deadman and was very disappointed, probably the worst concert performance I have been to. There was no energy, seemed like the band didn't want to be there, lots of lag time between songs. Really awkward crowd interactions like starting to play cover songs, expecting the crowd to jump in and sing but the band never started the vocals. Lead singer also sounded really off, his voice was flat and had didn't sound anywhere close to their sound. Set was also very short for the headliner. Most of the crowd left halfway through their performance. I would not see them again live.

    Awesome start, so so finish

by Madman on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

St Asonia was a fantastic opening band. Hopefully we hear more from them going forward. They had a great sound and the band had energy. Skillet puts on a great show with lots of eye catching lights and excitement. The music is good and the show flows easily from song to song with everyone on stage seemingly enjoying themselves while working their butts off at the same time. It’s a fun watch and a good overall show. Theory for me was a bit disappointing. They used to be one of my favorite bands but after the first three albums they kind of got into this rut of putting out gimmicky high school feel music with the corny lyrics and got away from the heavier sounds and rock roots that they broke out with. They left a lot of good songs off the playlist in favor of some of the more gimmicky ones which was a bit disappointing. The show itself is somewhat boring with no real stage show to speak of when compared to Skillets performance. There were awkward moments of silence between songs and no real interaction to speak of with the crowd. It had no flow and little energy. I really wanted to love them but I don’t know if I’d go to see them again after this and I’ve seen them a dozen times over the years. I was sort of bored at times and honestly so were they I felt.

    Not what I was expecting

by Barbara on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

We loved Saint Asonia & Skillet, but was a little disappointed with Theory of a Deadman, the lead singer didn’t sound as good live, compared to how he sounds on XM Radio. His voice sounded high-pitched than what I was expecting to hear.

    Loved Skillet

    by Dave74 on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Saint Asonia and Skillet put on a great show! Theory of a Deadman seemed like an odd fit with the other two. We left 4 songs into Theory of a Deadman, so did a lot of people. Just not my kind of music.

    Great show!

by Fitchickcpa on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Had a great time and loved the opening band after hearing them. Sound seemed a bit off for Theory of a Deadman (and I was directly behind sound guys). Also, drinks WAY too pricey! Will avoid drinks in future.

    Great

by Jpm on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Great venue I had seated seats but some nice gentleman had two pit tickets he wasn’t using so me and my dad got to get in the pit which was great. Great show, got to see one of my favorite singers of all time Adam from saint asonia, got to see skillet one of my favorite Christian bands for the first time loved how skillet preached about my Lord and savior Jesus Christ and wasn’t afraid about it and definitely was the best performance out of the 3 even tho saint asonia blew me away. Theory of a deadman was good a little underwhelming but not the worst band I’ve ever seen they put on a good show but just not one of my favorites but i enjoyed it. They are a good band I saw a lot of there fans there just not one of my favorites. Overall great show would recommend seeing skillet, definitely won’t be my last time seeing them unless something crazy happens lol.

    Rockin’

by Arej on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Seriously, pun intended. This was such a phenomenal and excellent show; I’d somehow forgotten how much I love their music, and yet hearing it live was 10x better, especially with how they interact with the crowd. I don’t think I’ve seen a band toss more picks (plus drumsticks and shirts even) in my life - and the previous most I’d seen was by Saint Asonia, who opened! Just stunning crowd work and fun moments in between excellent rock. 100/10 definitely want to see live again!

    Not what I paid for

by Jen on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

Sounded absolutely different in person. Had other hits they could have done but left the stage 20 minutes before "curfew". Would not pay to see them again.

Incredible show! The venue was great, the bands were incredible (Theory never disappoints), and we had an awesome time! Looking forward to the next tour!

    Skillet stole the show

by PhillyDuhKid on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

T.O.A.D. (Theory) was the headliner following skillet. The energy of skillet and their driving beats left the crowd in a frenzy to be let down by a lackluster and woefully boring theory set. We left after 30 minutes of boredom and uninspired performance. Curtain call for skillet please. It’s gotta suck being the headliner who gets to watch half the crowd leave bored and cranky after following such a great performance by skillet.

    Amazing show!!!

by Big E on 11/27/23Daily's Place - Jacksonville

This was one of the few times that all three acts just killed it. Saint Asonia opened and was awesome. Sounds was very good and a bonus was the Three Days Grace songs in the set list. Skillet was second out and slayed as always! High powered show start to finish and again the sound was awesome! Finally Theory of a Deadman and such a strong finish! The rendition of Hallelujah was hauntingly beautiful. Nice mix of Rock music to end the show. Great sound again and killer talent. The venue is intimate and we had excellent seats. Venders were good but a second merch booth would help long lines. Overall I give the Resurrection Tour and A+++
