Thee Sacred Souls on Tour
A silky-smooth soulful sound emanates from the San Diego, California-based R&B trio, Thee Sacred Souls. Known for their combination of R&B and soul, Thee Sacred Souls uses a number of different guitarists, keyboardists and backup singers when they perform live. Thee Sacred Souls consists of singer and songwriter Josh Lane, bassist Sal Samano and drummer Alex Garcia. Following the release of the debut self-titled album, this grooving and heartfelt band commenced their 2022 tour with stops across the United States. Their unique mix of '60s soul and '70s R&B creates a modern sound that is quickly attracting fans from around the globe, with one concertgoer writing, "It was amazing. One of my best times in my life."
The band first emerged onto the music scene in 2019, playing local shows around their native Southern California. Their debut singles, "Can I Call You Rose?" and "Weak for Your Love," followed in 2020. That same year they recorded "Give Us Justice," a deeply moving track in tribute to the lost lives of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. In 2021, Thee Sacred Souls released two more singles, "Will I See You Again?" and "It's Our Love." Their self-titled debut album followed in 2022.
Thee Sacred Souls Live in Concert
Forming in Southern California in 2018, Thee Sacred Souls was started when Garcia and Samano discovered Josh Lane on Instagram after they were developing R&B instrumentals. The trio began jamming together and instantly meshed. Garcia and Samano both grew up in Chula Vista, an area of San Diego drenched in Chicano and Motown soul. Lane is a classically trained vocalist from Sacramento who grew up singing in church. The mixture of experiences and technique creates the beautiful sound of Thee Sacred Souls. After landing small gigs, the band was almost immediately discovered and signed to Daptone Records. Their success continued as their first singles accrued more than 10 million streams in a year and gained attention from major publications including Billboard and Rolling Stone. "Things just seem to happen naturally when the three of us get together", notes drummer Garcia on the band's website. Thee Sacred Souls' music has pieces of Chicano, Chicago, Philly, Memphis, and Panama soul sprinkled throughout their singles. With more than 1.2 million listeners on Spotify, with top songs "Will I See You Again?" And "Weak for Your Love" combining for more than 22 million streams, Thee Scared Souls is on a path to become a household name in R&B.

Standing room only but nice venue able to see the stage anywhere youd stand Id go there again
Simply the best concert I have ever been to. Somehow, Thee sacred souls sound better live than recorded. They put on amazing show that captured the entire crowd.
A phenomenal vocal performance. New flare for an old soul. Sonically superior evening.
Such an intimate show! Loved my experience. Second time seeing them and I would jump at the opportunity again.
This is the most I’ve ever seen a band be so interactive with a crowd. It was such a wholesome experience. The lead singer even walked through the whole crowd for one song. He talked about love and would give little messages before each song. My boyfriend and I loved it!
I went to there recent show in LA and it was a great experience to say the least. Josh is a great performer along with the band. The energy was amazing and very intimate. Their music is soul touching especially while hearing it live🤎 100% would recommend going to their show!

All the groups and singers were simply amazing! This is thee best show I've been to in a long time. I've been following all these groups for many years and try to catch them live whenever I can. I have a few signed records, have even had Joey play for my husbands birthday. They just never disappoint. Vicky was a great treat!
I got to meet all the bands and they even signed my posters.it was amazing one of my best times in my life
All the artists delivered a great performance and had us moving and dancing in our feet the whole night.
Paid an extra 30.00 for nothing.. no private bathroom, had to wait in long lines for merchandise, only 2cashiers, and missed most of the concert...
The Sacred Souls performance was so good! The vibe! the music was unbelievable! When this band comes out there is no sitting down as the music has everyone at there feet singing and dancing. I love them! They are taking this soul music to a new level for the new generation of today but also reminding the old generation of a familiar sound.
The Penrose Records Review was everything we thought it would be and more! Acoustics were great, sound was rich. DJ was on point keeping us with good music during free time. The bands were great! The Altons and Thee Sinseers were phenomenal! Thee Sacred Souls were great. Los Yesterdays was really good quite the entertainer. Vicky Tafoya has a booming voice! The Encore was the Best! Just seemed like something from days gone by. The Age Gap and style’s were surprising. The only thing I have a gripe about was the Merch Sales. We got in line twice and it was huge. Only 2 people manning the stations. Lost a lot of money in sales if you ask me. We didn’t get any merch. Other then that...can’t wait for the return to Riverside! Great venue also. Not a bad seat in the house.
The Penrose showcase was amazing! Every Band and Artist performed so beautifully. The Venue was organized and a gave a great vintage ambiance. Met some of the artist and bands.. such great down to earth people that showed love back to us fans. Will definitely see all the artist again.
