    What a weekend!

by Nicholeee on 8/17/16Masquerade - Atlanta

The Masquerade really knows how to put on a festival! Had a jam packed weekend seeing a ton of bands I love plus new ones. Despite the heat, every moment of this weekend was fun. A misting tent for next year would be dope.

    Old School Punk Revival!

by KrockATL on 8/12/15Masquerade - Atlanta

Oh man, what a show, what a show! Every band was awesome and played their hearts out. I was ecstatic to see favorite bands that haven't played live in years like Thrice, Glassjaw and Cave-in. Phenomenal display of courtesy from the audience and staff as well. Everyone got into it and showed some love and came together in a complete old school punk revival. Sunday night's closer, Coheed and Cambria, played an incredible set and I'll never forget it. SAVE THE MASQUERADE!!

I think the lineup spoke for itself. It was insane! So many good bands, old and new, in one weekend. It's almost hard to believe they're going to make this a yearly event, because it will be difficult to top this year!

one of the best concert experiences of my life.

by Nickzzzz on 8/11/15Masquerade - Atlanta

For a first-time festival, this thing was incredibly well organized. The bands all played on-time, the sound was perfect - inside and out of the venue, and the vendors were all great. Personally, I got to see a large number of my favorite bands, and thanks to the efforts of the wrecking ball crew, it was an experience I'll never forget. If there is another one next year, I will absolutely go - no question.

    Well put together event

    by MudShark35 on 8/11/15Masquerade - Atlanta

I thought the event itself was well put together. There were plenty of ATMs, food options and bathrooms. My only complaints would be kind of a week lineup. And the beer selection was terrible also. I don't mind paying festival prices for beer ; but you should have more than four choices. 2 being Budweiser and bud light. There was a good turn out for a cool venue. I'm definitely gonna miss the masquerade when it's gone. Not sure who's gonna pick up the slack. Descendents, judge and modern life is war were the highlights.

    Descendents!!!

    by Jayjay1313 on 8/11/15Masquerade - Atlanta

A great lineup of hardcore and metal. I have waited almost 30 years to see a Descendents show and it was fantastic. They played every song I could have wanted to hear and the crowd sang along like it was 1987. What an amazing two day fest. Thanks Masquarade for 25 years of Punk Rock in Atlanta.

Ok bands, standing room only, crappy food options

by Rosiethervtr on 8/11/15Masquerade - Atlanta

The concept is great - lots of punk rock and alternative bands playing in different sections. The execution was mediocre. I waited until 3 pm to show up on Saturday since I figured I wouldn't have the energy to start at doors opening at 12 and go through till 11pm. I'm glad I waited. The first bands didn't start until 3 pm. There were also barely any chairs or places to sit. Cue foot, back, and neck problems. Also, it would have been nice to make the band's show schedule available online. It wasn't until after we arrived and had made our way upstairs after a couple hours before I found a tiny little flyer with the printed schedule. Also, only Saturday's schedule was printed. Sunday was still a mystery. The sound mixing was also sub par. Unless you had a special pass, there was no access to the Purgatory venue so the bands listed weren't available to everyone. As for the food options: three veggie options, the best of which sold out early in the afternoon. There was a ton of available space for another food truck and I know they could have done better. We didn't even bother going on Sunday. I wasn't ready to stand around for another 12 hours. Also, $300+ for two people to attend a mediocre event? I won't do that again.
