The musical was creative and invigorating!! A great display of remarkable talent!!
It was fun, great music, very creative!! It was better than the movie.
Great choreography. Tremendous energy. Fun music. Female lead has wonderful voice. Characters were cast perfectly. A really fun, lighthearted muscial that was nearly flawless.
The cast was horrible and could not hear the lyrics on the songs.
This is the first time I had ever been to a musical. I blew past any expectations I had. It was cool seeing the story take a different turn while keeping the main events and lines from the movie. Everything was great. I really enjoyed it and plan on seeing more.
Although the cast performed well there were too many differences from the original movie. Some parts were a bit cheesy. I realize it might been a salute to Michael Jackson and it was well intended but I thought it wasn't appropriate for this type of show. Everybody who attended the show loves the movie and I'm sure they were there for that reason. I did enjoy enjoy the impersonator's but that and the President's office were a big change from the movie. Good show for the price, I guess.
Although the main characters were dynamic enough, the rest of the cast was mediocre at best. I wanted the hometown guy from Daven[ort to be impressive, but he wasn't.
I got the tickets as a birthday gift for my fiance (she likes the movie). I was glad to see that it followed the movie fairly closely. I enjoyed hearing the two songs that Adam wrote and sang in the movie. George and Rosie made the show, especially liked their rap together.
The Wedding Singer was a very nice musical and a great value for a Broadway tour production. Good performances by the entire cast in the touring production we saw in Iowa. The two leads (Zylgo?) are a married couple in real life, which was charming. Other than some technical and comfort issues at the venue, the musical was very entertaining and the script had a lot of hidden humor about 80s fads and trends. A guide to connect all the jokes would have been helpful! Even my two teenagers (who weren't born in the 80s) appreciated the spoofs on Reagan, Madonna, Thriller, and "Where's the Beef?"
This event was full of energy and fun! All of the cast were very talented and dynamic. Even though we were not familiar with the songs, the cast made up for it in enthusiasm and strong voices. What a great day out! We left energized and smiling. Thanks!
The actors were very talented with wonderful voices. I was expecting to hear music from the movie soundtrack. For this reason I was disappointed with the show.
The Wedding Singer is a fun play. There's a little too much sexual content for 13 and under which is to bad. It could be a lot of fun like Moma Mia. My wife and I enjoyed it and the theater experience itself. Having just moved from NJ this was our first professional theater experience though we have have been to the Paramount in Burlington and saw Cabaret which was very well done for a community theater. Anyway back to The War Memorial Auditorium at the Greensboro Collisium. WMA is a very nice venue. All they seats are good and the theater has an intimate feel. It is really a good value though not inexpensive. We were second row, right Orc. and with parking it cost about 64 dollars each. Personally I love live shows and I felt it was well worth it. Treat yourself and drag the kids once in a while. You might be pleasently pleased by their reaction. Too bad the play wasn't a sell out. The theater could use your support and even balcony or back row tickets woundn't dissapoint.
Love the show. would recommend this to everyone. My boyfriend has the dvd and watches it all the time. So I got tickets to this. He didn't know if he would like this or not cause he doesn't like musicials. But he laughed all the way through the show. So thanks for a great night. Great job!
The musical was very good. The actors were great and very comical. I enjoyed this very much.
I loved the music and the voices were incredible!. The only negative comment I have was at times the band drowned out the singing and it was difficult to hear the vocals. Particularly when Holly sang. Other than that it was a great show!
Took my 15-year-old daughter. We both loved it. It was a lot of fun!
A fun show. The actors are all very good and the songs are a lot of fun. It is silly, but then it IS from an Adam Sandler film so that is no surprise. I would definitely reccomend it. Go see it if you get a chance.
It was a good play. I would recommend it for a nice saturday afternoon.
I loved the MJ tributes. Also enjoyed the impersonators in the end.
It was just the night out I needed. I really enjoyed the show. I appreciated the fast pace of changing scenes. Time just flew by. I laughed a lot. The cast was energetic and did a great job. Thanks a bunch.
