The Used in Concert
Bursting onto the scene with the tense crunch of post-hardcore guitars and singer Bert McCracken's piercing shriek in the early aughts, The Used were stalwarts of the "screamo" sub-genre, drawing comparisons to contemporaries in Thursday, Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance. Always a formidable live act, The Used are as closely aligned with the hard rock acts of the 80s as they are with their post-hardcore brethren, with vocalist McCracken lending his plaintive howl to his bandmates' razor-sharp maelstrom and a full battery of strobe lights. Their latest full-length album Vulnerable featured more overly theatrical flourishes and led with the single "I Come Alive." They supported the album with the Vulnerable Tour 2012 and reissued the album as a two-disc set that included B-sides and rarities, called Vulnerable (II) in March 2013.
The Used are unlikely exports of Orem, Utah, a place not known for hard rock. That didn't stop guitarist Quinn Allman, bassist Jepth Howard, drummer Branden Steineckert and McCracken from playing the local clubs before touring to support their 2002 self-titled debut. Their reputation as a live act saw them punch their ticket for coveted spots on the Warped Tour and Ozzfest. 2004's In Love and Death, which peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Top 200, announced their arrival to the big leagues, spawning singles, "Take it Away," "All That I've Got" and "I Caught Fire." In 2006, the band replaced longtime drummer Branden Steineckert with Dan Whiteside and released their fifth album Vulnerable through their own label, Dental Records. The band embarked on a series of concerts to support the album that summer. The Used released an EP of new material titled The Ocean of the Sky the following summer. Currently, the band is rumored to be going on tour in 2014, but no official announcements have been made.
The Used are touring on the Rockstar Energy Drink DISRUPT Festival in 2019. The touring festival features unique lineups in each city, including The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41, The Story So Far, Atreyu, Sleeping With Sirens, Andy Black, and more.

show was great, i was expecting all new stuff, but they actually played a lot of their older stuff which was great!
The best Money Ever Spent!! Go See!! Go See!!
The Used was amazing as always! However, I was not found of either of the opening bands. Should have showed up later.
The Used and Bert are freaking awesome! Always keeping the crowd engaged. What more could you expect? What an unforgettable show!!
First off drive a sucked, they were a wasted space and not much of the crowd even got into their set, oh and having to start your own mash pit is beyond pathetic. Now on to the almost.......WOW.... they were so good, the only major complaint is that the vocals were being drowned out by the instruments. But still an amazing set, loved that they ended with a new song it was a brave move because most like ending with a song almost everyone would know. The used were amazing. Burt was funny as hell and even improved a song after someone threw a glow stick on stage, had a good mix of old and new. They really interacted with the audience, but it wasn’t over kill, and having the mosh pit charge each other was amazing. The almost and the used are also much better in a smaller venue like the Beaumont, you really get to absorb the music.
I get if-y everytime I see them, because i'm not sure if it will be off the wall amazing, or just ok. This time, was off the wall amazing. They absolutely rocked it. The crowd was nuts, and filtered out a bunch of "babies". It's cool to see just how many die hard used fans there are.
Totally Rocked! Great venue! Burt is awesome! He is so funny and engages the crowd. 2nd time seeing them won't be my last.
The mix of new to old songs was great and I got to take all my kids to the concert with me. They range from 21, 19, 15 and 4.
Concert was great for all three bands. Met Drive A. Never head of the band until the concert. They were awesome on stage so I bought their CD. Extremely cool guys. The Used kicked it!
The last opening band was great as well. The Used really know how to engage the crowd and get everyone singing and jumping around...we really had a great time
This was my first time seeing The Used live & they were amazing! [: I'd defiantly see them again. The House Of Blues is such a small venue, but it was perfect.
Great Concert!! Really loved the opening band. Drive A
they cut some of there songs short ad they didn't have the energy that they have had in past shows but hey they were still good, and also the crowd sucked Vegas has some of the most unfriendly crowds
I have waited for 8 years to be able to see the Used and it was worth the wait!!! Although we missed hearing them play some of our favorite songs we realize if they did all of them it would be a 3 hour show. They did not disappoint though; I heard my favorite, Buried Myself Alive. It is all the more reason that I would see them again whenever I can.
first time meeting the band and seeing them live. it was everything I imagined. the only thing was it didn't last as long as I thought it was going to.
The opening bands were a pathetic excuse for music. It took forever to switch the band equipment and 11$ for a weak vodka tonic?! I expected much better.
it ws a great show, sound was good you couldnt complain it was an amazing show!!! i love the used so i was expacting it to be great i started in the back of the crowd but with a little strategy i was able to get to the front row since it was general admission and stood at the baracade! it was beyond awesome!!! though the first opening band didnt really fit with the other 2 bands, if he dies he dies and the used, it was a perfect show. plus the merch booth was very accessable, which i visited alot hahaha. plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of the venue
The Used is one of the best bands to see live. The show was fun and lively. The band sounded great, I can't wait for the new album...
The Orbit Room is a great size for shows It felt intimate enough, but still let a sizable crowd in. Now, as far as The Used goes, they were amazing! I have wanted to see them since I was 16 and their debut C.D. came out. In concert they have great energy, and Bert's personality is everything you would expect it to be.
What can i say about the Used.....they are the most creative motivated band on the planet!!
