  • Thorne

by GK on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

We thought that there was going to be more dialogue from all the characters along with live music. Not sure the acrobatics were worth the price of admission. Felt the reference to todays social media was way out of place.

  • It was not as exciting as was played up.

by Javlin379 on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

I was expecting the scenes to be played out more, and not narrated by one person.

  • Great show…

by Jackie on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The venue, the show, and the cast were great. I did NOT like that the show was delayed because other people were late. It is not my problem when others fail to plan for weather and traffic. Should not have penalized the people who showed up on time.

  • Amazing Show

by Shon on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was an awesome production from start to finish. It was interactive, informative, and the performers were amazing!

  • The Word is Alive!

by Believer on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Fabulous portrayal of major Biblical events from the creation through the life, persecution, suffering, obedience to death on the Cross and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be entertained, and you will rejoice! Acting was fabulous across all. John, the Beloved Apostle, is the narrator and is exceptional and made it personal. Acrobatics and visual additions were not distracting, rather only served to add to the inspiring story. Absolutely recommend it for believers and non believers alike as they might come to follow Jesus as well.

  • Mixed feelings

by Phoebe on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

To begin with, organization at the Cobb Performing Center was awful. Only one lane to go in while two lanes to go out before the event. Nobody was going out. Charging extra for parking. I was expecting more Cirque of Soleil acts. Should advise first about all the probe lights which can be a trigger to many people. I felt it was a pitch to subscribe to an organization sponsoring children. I have a lot of mixed feelings about the whole thing. Also, few things were biblically wrong. Mixed feelings.

  • Vibrant Portrayal of Jesus Christ!

by SS on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The production was spectacular and beautifully told from start to finish! *The only negative was large groups of people coming in late, intermittently, blocking views and attention during production. They should discontinue letting people do that once the show begins. Perhaps let them stand in the rears or be seated in back rows.

  • The thorn is very well done,

by Pam on 10/14/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Great play, lighting , character depictions and simulation. When you know the word you are not looking for everything in the play to be factual but it was really well done and left me with visuals on spiritual warfare and reminding of what Jesus paid for my sins.

  • EXCELLENT!!

by LJS on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely wonderful- made me laugh, cry and pray! Beautiful performance! Must see, wonderful special effects. Would not recommend any changes- perfect performance.

  • Horrible Seats

by Allen on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

Bought tickets 4 months in advance. The middle center of the event. Should have been the best seats. Ended up being directly behind the Mix Sound equipment. A man standing in front of me the entire show. I could not see anything. It was absolutely horrible! There should have been a map of the seating that showed Mix Production Equipment set up. Worst experience of going to a musical/play/concert, etc...

  • Keep your money

by Boo on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

All narrative and dance-no real acting. A lot of running and jumping around, very chaotic...not a play. Too much cheap animation, seemed very low budget. Just not my thing, expected more. Wish I had kept my money for a real theatrical play.

  • Amazing but sad… Jesus is coming back!

by Annie on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

This is an amazing play! But only biblically strong people should see it. They got what the rock and cornstone is wrong. Also they never said a word about Jesus coming back to actually defeat Satan. Which is the biggest part of Jesus. So other than that it was amazing! Some of the best acting, dancing, singing I’ve ever seen! Just so heart breaking they didn’t say the Jesus is coming back for his bride (us the church).

  • Captivating, heartwarming, a must see!

by Joana DM on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Spectacular show depicting the life and death of Jesus Christ. The show started out as a church performance some 25 years ago and evolved into this mega performance. The Thorn tells the epic story of God's love for the world and the spiritual battle for all humanity. Often described as cirque meets the passion of Jesus, The Thorn combines dance, martial arts, aerial acrobatics, and emotionally powerful performances witnessed live by 1 million + people. The second portion of the show, you could hear so many people in the audience just weeping. It was very powerful! A must see!

  • Excellent

  • A different light on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

by Barry and Tammy on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

John the Beloved was our favorite. What a memory that man has. We went to see this for our Anniversary and it was definitely unforgettable. We would highly recommend it.

  • Awesome! Moving! Spectacular!

by Bev on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Thorn was awesome. We laughed. We cried. We rejoiced! A beautiful, moving story of God's creation, God's love, and the life of Christ and his sacrifice for all mankind. Never a dull moment through the drama! You don't want to miss this event and if you go you won't regret it! Great opportunity to share with someone who may need Jesus.

  • The Thorn - don’t miss it

by A wonderful experience on 10/13/23Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The production is wonderful. I loved the character of John. He was fantastic and portrayed appropriate humor to keep the crowd engaged. The cast was equally phenomenal. The second half is intense, goodness. Just a beautiful depiction of Jesus Christ.

  • AWESOMENESS

    by M. L. on 10/11/23Rating: 5 out of 5

What a full enlightening portrait of GODs DIVINE WORD. This was a beautiful illustration of JESUS. I just wish that it was here a little longer. Thanks for coming to ATLANTA and showing that JESUS WON, and that we have a SAVIOR.

  • So good.
