It was riveting and inspiring! Unexpectedly awesome!
WOW WOW WOW .. what a MARVELOUS production … I saw the trailer for this on line and immediately was intrigued.. sadly the closest it would come to us would be Savannah …so we decided to take a chance that it would be worth such a long drive and made the trip …. let me just say …it was SO WORTH every single mile ..the acting is AMAZING especially John “the disciple Jesus Loved” 🤣 the lighting and stag props are simply AMAZING… and the telling of my Saviors life and sacrifice for me was so moving ❣️❣️❣️
This was an amazing production. The dialogue from the Bible and the theatrics were mind blowing! I was excited, thrilled, sad, and happy all in one production. It’s definitely a must see!
The show was funny, moving, and fantastic. Kept you interested and entertained through the whole show. The cast did a wonderful job portraying the story of Jesus. It was worth seeing.
This was an incredible experience. If you get the chance to see this, please go!!! You will never be the same.
Worth the time and money! High energy and informative…. Would not recommend for young children
I wasn't very happy with the quality of the show. This particular venue theater had lighting that was shining directly in my eyes most if the time and the sound was incredibly loud, producing an almost immediate headache. At intermission, before we were 'dismissed' we had to listen to a long solicitation for donations - that could have absolutely been a short "if you'd like to know how you can help, please see someone at the booth in the lobby". We paid enough for the tickets, I don't need an add halfway through. The actors did a good job and should be commended. We left at intermission, not to return.
Overall: latest technology made the scenery and performance absolutely incredible fascinating and mesmerizing! Also never seen before: the old man’s monologue (forgot if he was supposed to be Peter) retelling the story line, letting the actors perform mostly silently, was a strike of genius. Thought the second act was way to bloody, to drawn out and the elimination of Magdalena (cleaning up the actual story) lowered the overall rating. Decibel levels could have been lower…
The Thorn was amazing!!!! I’ve never been to anything like it before! It is so worth attending. Thank you all for your hard work bringing us the message of Jesus!
I thought it was spectacular. It was mesmerizing at times. I loved the story with John narrating and the dancing and aerial performances were great. I laughed and I cried during the show. I highly recommend this show. I thought the actors who played John, Jesus and Satan were great.
I have been excited for this for months, I'm not disappointed and this was perfect and moving, bought the movie so I could experience it more
This was date night for my husband and I and I don’t think our money could have been better spent. It was magnificent. The narrator was awesome.
The show itself was okay, but really, just okay. There were a few dances choreographed along with video that were impressive, but I certainly wouldn't compare it to any Cirque de Soleil show. I gave 2 stars though because tickets were pretty expensive and then at the intermission they give you basically a sales pitch to donate more money to their foundation (or however they're set up to collect donations). My husband and I were put-off enough by the intermission that we didn't stay for the end.
My daughter and her seven year old twins journeyed with me to The Thorn. The twins were amazed and identified characters from Adam and Eve to John the Baptist. They knew the angels were protecting Jesus in the garden as he prayed. One did not watch most of the beating scene but the other one watched it all. They did not like the long monologues but I did. When Jesus was placed on the tomb one asked, aren’t we going to see him come out. We did! We truly enjoyed the truth of the gospel and how it was presented.
Oh my goodness! My mind is still blown from this live performance! I would give it 100 stars if I could, I believe God is glorified every time it is performed! Beautiful depiction of God’s love for us and the life, crucifixion, and resurrection of my Lord Jesus Christ! To the cast well done on everything! May God continue to bless you!
It was an amazing experience! I laughed, I cried, and I clapped. The event staff were so nice. I have bad knees and the ushers helped me with my balance as I left. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating.
The performance had everything. Truth, laughter, excitement and drama. So glad we went.
My family and I really enjoyed everything! Thank you so much
I really enjoyed this production and would go again. There was a lot of history to cover in such a short amount of time, so I wished they could have worked in another 15-30 minutes! There were a few scenes I did not understand so the narration was very helpful as well as emotional and funny at times.
