  • Great summary of Gods plan

by TennRN on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

Had never heard of the Thorn. Decided to purchase tickets and was not disappointed! John’s gospel was spot on and made so that anyone could understand. What talented performers. Loved that they sang along for the finale!

  • Amazing night!

by JoJo on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

It started with a foreword from the creator of the production an a warning of how graphic the second half of the show would be. It was very biblically based and thru John on the isle of Patmos we were taken thru the Bible history up to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was a fun, serious, athletic performance with ballet and (?) circ de soleil?) . Also given an opportunity to sponsor a child in need and an invitation to know the Lord if not already a child of God. Amazing, A+, loved it and highly recommend it!

  • Fabulously unique presentation of the life of Jesus

by ERW on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

There is One good thing about FB tracking my location! PERSONALIZED ADS!!! Firstly, I never really thought that I would admit to that, but the personalized ads for local events depending on my GPS actually turned into a huge blessing! We legit bought our tickets 48 hours ago to this awesome event in Chattanooga and it was the best most unique emotional presentation of the gospel & story/life of Jesus I have ever seen. I purposely got seats in the back because of my three-year-old and a very strong warning that the last 30 mins would be very loud and graphic so I needed an easy exit option just in case. Turns out there was no one sitting next to us, on either side, or in back of us ( despite an almost sold-out venue) & it was so awesome! And only 12 mins from our vacation crib! I kept my daughter busy with her tablet on the crucifixion scene. The event was 2 hours long and worth every penny. Wow! Just wow! I feel like I’ve been on a spiritual retreat!. 🏕️Thank you Jesus for the price you paid for humanity, 🩸dying for our sins so that we may have eternal life 🙌🏼 with you forever. ❤️‍🩹Romans 10:9❤️‍🩹 💟🙏💟

  • Good show. The show is not at all what was advertised.

by Did we pay for a curated play or a performance on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 3 out of 5

They started the show with hundred of people still outside. We watched the first act, and then a lady came to explain with the show wasn’t as people were expecting. They decided to change the format from the cirque de soleil style show, to a play in which a character curates the “play”. The show was good, if you were not expecting a performance. However, the advertisements for the show were the trailers of the old show. I think it is poor taste and bad business to mislead people to get them to buy tickets to a show, and then halfway through that show, tell people it’s not what they paid for, especially considering the subject was God and Jesus Christ.

  • Stunning and Engaging

by Beth on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

Very creative way to tell the story of the Bible from creation forward and focusing on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Brings it all to vibrant life.

Powerful presentation of the story of Jesus Christ. The combination of arial acts, modern dance, lights and music were incredible. It was a very moving experience.

  • Incredible Truth brought to Life.

by Missybear on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

The Thorn brought to together powerful scriptural truths with magnificent performances. Incredibly well done. The artistry would be appealing to anyone while the truths would rekindle any Christian. I would definitely go again!!!

  • Great Show!

by Laura on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 4 out of 5

My family and I had a great experience!! The show wasn’t what we were expecting and was pretty fast pace. I think having more info during the play about what was going on at the time or taking some info out would have made the play a little more understandable. Either way, the play definitely made us happy, made us cry, and made us love Jesus more!! The cast did a wonderful job and it was very entertaining.

  • Awesome

by Jat on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

I would highly recommend this experience! Getting the Word of God out to those who may have never heard. Even the lighting told a story of truth. The artistic ability to convey such a message in todays language is remarkable. I loved the humor of John, the beloved!

  • Somewhat disappointing

by Robbie on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 3 out of 5

It was okay. I did not understand the modern music being played. The speaker, John, was the best part of the show. Nothing like a Cirque show as advertised. The venue, however, needs to do better crowd control. So many people coming in late, children sitting in laps and blocking views behind them. Buy them a seat already! I know this has nothing to do with the show but it is part of the experience. People are just rude. Not all of us but a large population. Lock the doors at start time and that would take care of the problem.

  • Excellent Performance.

Modern, high-tech, entertaining, funny, emotional, inspiring.

  • Phenomenal

by Travlgypsy on 10/20/23Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

Not what I expected, was even better. Spectacular presentation. The "old man"narrative pulled the story together and brought the message of hope alive. We NEED to experience hope in these times.
