Had the best time listening to great music and meeting a wonderful! I have been a fan of the Tartan Terrors since The Quest came out and I saw them at the PA Ren. Fair. Though members have changed, their spirit keeps the music alive and loved! Bless you, Tartan Terrors!

An incredible mix of instruments and genres, paired with dancing and humor! Made me want to go back to Scotland, with a stop in Newfoundland on the way back!

  • Tartan Terrors were transcendent.

Light and Shadow played off the shifting midnight blues of the backdrop, dappled green like the forest floor. The full moon of the bodhran rose in a pale, practiced hand. Tartans in the colours of the sea swayed on musical hips as the plaintive voice of the pipes rose over the perfect night. Lithe legs leapt on stage. Coming in knowing this group mainly for their humour, I wasn't disappointed by the witty remarks, quirky acts and pub songs. However, the depth and breadth of their repertoire was simply stunning. There was the fair share of traditional music, but what shone were the twists on traditional - songs of heritage, songs of intensity. Songs written by multiple generations in the same family. Songs that left not an eye in the audience dry. And in the foreground, always dancing, tartans twirling, fingers flashing - traditional, rhythmic, interpretative. Fluid music, tone poems personified. It was startling when a car would drive down the hill behind the stage. We'd forgotten we were in this time and space. And, of course, they sang Meri Mac!

These guys (gals) rock. Great mix of music, dance, and comedy. I'd recommend this show to anyone who enjoys having a good time.
