    Disappointing

by BergenfieldDoorsFan on 1/19/15Bergen PAC - Englewood

Saw The Soft Parade at the Bergen PAC in Englewood NJ. The musicians were great, but the singer seemed like he was not into it. Maybe he was bummed that the hall was half empty. No encore. Did not play LA Woman, The End, When the Music's Over, or even The Soft Parade (which is the name of the band)

REVIEW OF DOORS TRIBUTE SHOW BY SOFT PARADE

by BILLAUSTRIA on 7/6/14B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

THEY ARE ALWAYS GOOD BUT BAND WAS TIGHER TONIGHT THAN ON PRIOR NIGHTS. SINGER HAD SOME DOWNERS, HOWEVER. SONG SLECTION COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. PLAYED THE GREATEST HITS MINGLED IN WITH MUCH LESSER KNOWN SONGS. COULD HAVE BEEN ARRANGED BETTER. A/C WAS TOO COLD IN BB KINGS.

    Soft parade

by Anonymous on 7/6/14B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

This is my first Doors tribute band. It's a fact copying "Jim" is impossible. On a 1-10 rating, with 10 the best: The band gets a 7.5 The singer gets a 6.5 (he blurrs the words with no feelings, too many beers ). They encored with less popular songs and left a bad taste in my mouth. They did not play LA Woman, which should of been their last song.

    soft parade @ nyc

by jay122 on 7/6/14B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Went to see the Soft Parade@ B.B.Kings in NYC. While the band did a great job the singer who portrayed Jim Morrison was ok. There were times Jim was on stage and others you were like who is this guy. I saw them, probably won't again. Didn't play L.A. Woman, The End, or When The Music's Over , staples of the Doors.

On point with every instrument, voice just like The Lizard King. Would be an easy five stars but they only played for a short time.

    Not so Soft Parade

by Casimir on 12/16/13Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I saw them at the Bergen Performing Arts Center on Friday December 13th. They may have been playing the Doors music for quite awhile but overall I give the band a C-. Maybe because it was Friday the 13th and the lead singer seemed to have a little too much to drink and was overweight. Not like pictures that they show on the website which many people were talking about when they decided to take an intermission. Interesting having to take an intermission what was that about. When was the last time anyone went to a concert with an intermission? Plus most of the people in my row got up and left. Ok not every part of the show was disappointing but overall I was not impressed.

    soft parade was great

by barada on 12/16/13Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Terrific concert. nearly 3 hours long and it flew by. Wonderful Doors songs. They were the next best thing to having the Doors themselves play. Only criticism was of the audience who had too many cell phones on looking at their texts and texting back. Don;t understand why people do that at a wonderful tribute concert. Also the lead singer should have been wearing leather pants a la Jim Morrison. But he was terriific anyway.

    These People Were Strange!

by Casey51 on 12/16/13Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I've been to a few tribute shows and although they can sometimes be uneven, the Soft Parade's performance at Bergen Pac was a mixture of exceptional music coupled with the very real sense that they couldn't wait to leave! All night they were passing notes and talking with each other about who knows what and there was almost no interaction with the audience. What a shame because by reputation their supposed to be the best of the Doors faux bands and, in fact, there were several moments where I felt like I was being transported back to a time very long ago...

i wish the vocalist was working a bit harder then that....everything was fine but the sound quality could be better....and people dont have to call you back to sing roadhouse blues..that was sad...and atlist try to sing The end or when the music is over....

The Soft Parade is here to stay!!!!

by NathanX on 7/17/11Showcase Live - Foxboro

Saw this band 18 years ago. Amazing how long they have been playing the Doors. They really capture the true essence of a Doors live performance. Great extended versions of songs were awesome. It felt like 1967 all over again. Great venue, great sound, great service the drinks kept coming. Let's hope the Soft Parade returns.
