The Simon & Garfunkel Story
Since its sell-out in London's West End, The Simon & Garfunkel Story is now the World's leading theatre show concerning Simon & Garfunkel featuring a full live band and state of the art video projection and lighting. The show includes all of their hits, including Mrs. Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound and many more.
With more than 100 million album sales since 1965, Simon & Garfunkel's perfect harmonies and songs that poignantly captured the times made them one of the most successful folk-rock duos of all time. Over the years, they won 10 Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. In 1977, their Bridge Over Troubled Water album was nominated at the 1977 Brit Awards for Best International Album. In 2003, Simon and Garfunkel were awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the following year saw their The Sound of Silence awarded a Grammy Hall of Fame Award.
The voices and harmony's were incredible. What a great blast from the past!
More like a Simon and Garfunkel cover band: I wouldn’t consider this to be a Broadway musical
It’s ok. Left early……………………………………… nice voices. ……
This was fabulous! I highly recommend this show. The actors were awesome and did a great job portraying Simon and Garfunkel! Loved, loved, loved the music, visuals and songs👍
Songs were great, voices were great. But it was really not a play in my mind.
We loved everything about the Simon and Garfunkel show!!!! The music and harmonizing was incredible!!! The background photos and lighting was amazing!!! And the timeline of their story was so interesting!!! I want to go again!!
The two musicians/singers and the band were incredible. I felt like I was at a concert of Simon & Garfunkel many years ago. Their harmony and voices were perfect. The big screen playing photos of days gone by brought back many memories. Loved it.
...you would think the actual Simon & Garfunkel were in front of you...what an experience...they "nailed" the mannerisms and the voices...great anthology of the history of this wonderful twosome...I was ready to see it all over again...right after the show I just watched! Please bring them back...
Price was great-seats were fantastic-sound was not overpowering-perfect. Performance was excellent, backup musicians were great. Ben Cooley had Art Garfunkel down to perfection-all moves & look, and a fantastic voice (should have entered The Voice!!) and Taylor Bloom was also perfect on vocals. Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Will always remember this duo and show. The staff was excellent and very courteous and helpful.
This was our first visit to Water Tower Playhouse. Excellent venue! Will definitely return. The Simon & Garfunkel Story was wonderful. What a walk down memory lane! The voices were spot on. Loved every minute of it!
I grew up with this music as a huge part of my childhood. In the reunion concert in 2004, I was brought to tears standing in the same venue as the original artists listening to them perform all their music with guest appearance by the Everly Brothers. Again at this performance, their ability to recreate that prior experience was palpable. It is a performance worth seeing if that music speaks to your soul.
Great overview of their lives. Covered many of our favorite songs. Would go again. Great choice in selecting the actors to play the parts
These guys were great! Show was an experience to remember!
Loved this show -- the closest one can get now to a live performance of S & G themselves -- plus some interesting history of their partnership and music. I've been to this show twice.. and would go again.
You learn enough about the history of S&G through video and pictorial slide shows matching history to their life’s and songs. The key for me was the music. Both actors had outstanding voices and sounded very close to the originals. Great job
Very talented artists -- gave a great historical recreation of the duo's lives and music. Used video and photo clips to make the history come to life! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
The gentlemen who performed the songs did and amazing job. Their voices harmonized so well.
We were surprised how great the show was. Well worth going to see.
The venue is small and all the seats have great views of the stage. The artists who portrayed Simon and Garfunkel were amazing. They had beautiful voices. I really hope these two performers go far in their careers.
Theater was small and good visibility from every seat. The performance flowed and covered a range of the songs over time. Everyone in the crowd was quietly singing along with the performance and smiling.
