Great show. The group was so gracious and played an awesome set.

Rural Alberta Advantage was amazing! The set list was great, and the band had so much energy. Plus, they stopped to let me get a picture with them!

  • Good - Almost Great

    by TS1067 on 3/28/11First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Damn good show!! As always 1st ave was packed - What a drummer - really stood out in a group that is very talented. Even though the RAA is kind of a minimalist band they find a way to sonically fill the venue. I was suprised when they mentioned that 1st ave was the biggest group that they'd ever played in front of.

  • James Vincent McMorrow stole the show

    by OZ29 on 3/27/11First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Rural Alberta did a good job, but honestly I think James Vincent McMorrow was the show stopper. He did such an amazing job...I'm absolutely in love with his music.

  • RAA's Second Home

by GeoffDMN on 3/27/11First Avenue - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The Rural Albert Advantage played in front of their largest crowd ever at Minneapolis' First Ave. You can tell these are some genuine and humble folks by how they showed their gratitude for playing the sold out venue. You also know a band is good when they are excellent on tracks and even better live. They put their all into every song and at one point Nils had to remove a broken string mid-song. The RAA is the perfect blend of percussion, keys, guitar and sweet and strained vocals.

  • First time seeing them, wont be the last!

by LEGBA on 3/12/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

Great, Great Show! I headed over to the Bowery Ballroom in the pouring rain to see this band! I was slightly bummed at first because the opening bands didn't even start until nearly 2 hours after I arrived there, But when they did start, I was delighted. THE LOOM was the first to open. They left a notable impression on me. Next up was PEPPER RABBIT, they were okay. But The RAA blew me away! They truly surpassed their album versions of nearly every song they played. I must see them again.

  • RAA is GREAT LIVE!!!

The opening bands were OK, but RAA was awesome live. They have a great energy and love meeting fans after.
