    Expected more...

by LGMFL on 4/2/17Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Expected more from such great talents. Sound was way too loud to enjoy vocals. The Ryman is noted for awesome acoustics which was not there that night. We were there 3 nights earlier and sound and levels were great.

    These Guys Can Still Rock

by McCubbins on 4/1/17Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I bought this ticket as a "bucket list" thing, wanting to see Stephen Stills in a concert setting before I die. He's one of my favorite artists, but somehow I'd never seen him play live. So imagine a band in which he's not even the best guitarist! I came away happy that Stills is still alive and kicking, but even more amazed at the skills of bandmate Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The Rides move easily between rock and blues numbers, and Shepherd has an incredible knack for knowing just what to play whether he's soloing or happily serving as the sideman. Together with keyboard great Barry Goldberg, former Double Trouble drummer Chris Layton, and Bassist Kevin McCormick, the Rides rolled through several songs from both of their excellent studio records, Shepherd's own "Blue on Black," and Stills' "Love the One You're With" with ease. An encore featuring a blistering version of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World" was the icing on the cake at the Mother Church (the Ryman).

    The Rides rocked the Ryman!

by PJTN on 4/1/17Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

The interplay between Stills and Shepard was fantastic. Terrific keys, bass & drums too. A very professional blues rock band all around.

Not my cup of tea. Steven Stills is over the hill. May have been on something.

Great show! Stephen and Kenny Wayne shred their guitars with the best of them. Stephen's voice is gone which is a shame but hey, getting old sucks. Highly recommend this show!

    The Rides Plus Los Lobos

by Heln on 4/1/17Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

This was a totally awesome event. Los Lobos played their hearts out and rocked the house. Great music that never slowed down the rest of the evening. The Rides carried on with fantastic chemistry on stage with Stills, Goldberg, and Kenny Wayne especially evident.

    Los Lobos Rocked the House!

    by FerlinHusky17 on 4/1/17Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Didn't care for The Rides. Bless his heart, but Stephen should call it quits. As singers age, they usually lose their voices, but the should still be able to sing in key. KWS is something of a one-trick pony and there is a repetitiveness about his playing that wears thin after three songs. Chris Layton seemed like his mind was somewhere else. 2 Stars. Los Lobos, on the other hand, proved that old guys can still rock. They were tight, up tempo and had the house rocking. I would have preferred they were headlining. 5 Stars.

    Good music

    by 50yearcomparison on 4/1/17Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

If you even remotely like music, especially Blues music, then see this concert. Stephen Stills decided he wanted to make a blues recording, so he went and got some top notch friends to help. Guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd shows his chops and piano player Barry Goldburg provides some great blues licks. Obviously the group is a little quirky, but quirky works with these guys. Los Lobos just sound harmonious. Pleasant listening to sounds that have been entertaining people everywhere for years.

    The Rides

by CindiJ57 on 6/8/16Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

The Rides is a fairly new band. But the members including Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg are a fantastic combination. If you like blues guitar along with supreme keyboardist and of course one of music history's best musicians, you'll love this concert!

    Awesome show!

by TexasHD on 6/8/16Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

This was an awesome show just like the last time we saw them on 9/27/13 in Reno, NV. That was actually their final show in the tour as well as this one. They all put on a phenomenal show, they are some great artists! The selected another great opening act also, Hamish Anderson, he was great too! I'm so happy they finally did a second album!

    The Rides rocked the house!!

by Grumpy49er on 6/8/16Fox Performing Arts Center - Riverside

Totally freaking awesome, Stills and Kenny Wayne dueling guitars to some good old rock & roll! Stephen Stills, OK so his voice cracked a time or two, still plays like one of the best which he is, and KWS complimented the grooves when needed and then stepped out for his own blistering solos. Great show in that 1600 seat theater! Can't wait for another round!
