Totally enjoyable evening. More than just a concert. It was a trip in time.
Concert was great fun! The "boys" sounded terrific! Rekindled wonderful memories!
When my husband and I heard the announcement - "all four original band members" - we stared at each other in amazement. Too good to be true! I don't think we could have been any happier if the Beatles had gotten back together for a night. We were not disappointed. From the time the curtain went up to the final number, we were transported, not only to our personal youth, but to the world scene at that time along with a reminder of its unrealized dreams. Musically, these guys have not lost a thing. Felix's voice - strong as ever. Dino's drums - his showmanship is matched by his artistry. All four of them clearly were having a blast. As a side note, I've never been in an older audience! Since the group has not done anything musically since 1970, they have attracted no new fans. There was a lot of up and down - bladder issues and the need for a drink? Rude And no Midnight Hour/Mustang Sally
The Rascals were amazing in this "Once Upon a Dream" combination concert / theatrical event at the Hard Rock !! The Rascals are Felix Cavaliere (keyboard, vocals), Eddie Brigati (vocals), Gene Cornish (guitar), and Dino Danelli (drums). They put on a great show !! They played all of The Rascals greatest hits such as Good Lovin', Groovin', A Beautiful Morning, People Got to be Free, A Ray of Hope, Heaven, You Better Run, I've Been Lonely Too Long, A Girl Like You, How Can I Be Sure, It's Wonderful, and more. They were all fantastic !! They also performed other songs such as Mickey's Monkey (Miracles), Slow Down (Beatles), Two Many Fish in the Sea (Marvellettes), and others. The backdrop / screen basically told the story of The Rascals from the beginning. It would alternate from "story then live performance" and so on for the entire show. The show lasted two full hours with no intermission. One very interesting part of the story was when Eddie was 19, he was in a major car accident and was in a coma for three days. When he awoke, he couldn't remember anything....except Rascals songs. Amazing !! This was a fantastic show / concert to see !! The Rascals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on May 6, 1997. Richly deserved !! One of the greatest groups of all-time !! What a magnificent evening !!
My husband and i were transported back in time to our college years where we listened to our favorite music. We were blown away by the quality of the vocals and the enthusiasm of these four great musician. We would see the show again in a flash. It was really a special night.
First time I've seen them in concert since 1967. There a lot older but still great!
GREAT SHOW I WOULD GO SEE IT AGAIN WHAT MORE CAN I SAY ITS THE RASCALS !!! THE BEST AMERICAN BAND EVER HANDS DOWN..
Wow.....To think all four members were together after 40 years! Enjoyed the show. It was definitely a flash back to the 60's. The "young" Rascals were the first ever band I saw in the 60's and it meant a lot to me to see them again. They were amazing. It was a well put together production - Thank you Stevie - Was worth seeing especially if you loved them back in the 60's.
1st live. Loved their songs. Bought their albums. Outstanding story line of their evolution.
Excellent sound...it was even better than we thought it would be.
It was nice to feel like a teenager again as I watched and listened to the Rascals rock. I had seen them so many times in the past and this was pure nostalgia and fun!
Saw Rascals Once Upon a Dream and this show is totally fantastic!!! The band sounds AMAZING live, with really great production, lighting, video throughout the show... We could hardly believe how great they sound, and plan to see the show on tour, too. Anyone who has ever enjoyed the Rascals music, "Groovin," "Good Lovin'" "How Can I Be Sure" "Its a Beautiful Morning" and more you are in for a terrific experience. The light show is stellar, and how they tell their story through video montage is so worth seeing and very entertaining! Most of all the KICKS it. The whole experience is unforgettable...we highly recommend it! Rock on, Rascals!
I caught their first concert in 40 years @ The Capital Theater in Westchester, NY on 12/13/12 and they picked up where they left off and sounding even better. They combined their music with a great video production behind them ... a must see for everyone who knows their music or for new comers to enjoy and become fans! Can't wait for Memorial Day at the Hard Rock!
