Enjoyed the theme of the show, but especially the music. Too bad they don't come here more often. Loved the performance and won't forget it for a long time.I did something i've never done at any of the many concerts i've been to ........ I bought a 40$ t-shirt.

    RASCALS HAVE COME HOME

by NICKY64 on 11/23/13Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

WE WERE REALLY GLAD THAT THE RASCALS MADE A STOP IN ROCHESTER. IT SHOULD HAVE BE MORE THAN ONE NIGHT LIKE IT WAS IN SEVERAL OTHER CITIES. REALLY ENJOYED THE SHOW, THERE WERE SOME AUDIO PROBLEMS AND WHEN THE CURTAIN CAME DOWN MID SHOW, SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE COME OUT TO EXPLAIN. VERY GLAD THE GROUP IS BACK TOGETHER

Was a very entertaining show! I enjoyed the history told by the band members in between songs, I would have enjoyed more of that. The music was excellent!

    RASCALS ROCK IT AGAIN!

by Pjsmail on 11/23/13Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

One of the few original sixties bands that have survived and thrived due to their unwavering talent and timeless message of peace and love ... a message encouraging good will towards all people, as well as protecting our fragile planet. The Rascals are back and better than ever. Their performance will bring back many memories of one of the most controversial periods in our history and will have you dancing in your seats!

    Rascals were disappointing

by Flyer72 on 11/23/13Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

Overall event was a yawn. Highlights were when Felix was featured. Bagati was a yawn- fat guy prancing around with tambourines.

The Rascals - Like it was Yesterday Once More

by GoldyfromBrooklyn on 11/23/13Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

40 years of legal bickering couldn't stop this train from rolling down the tracks like a well-oiled time machine. I knew all the Rascals big hits...but knew none of their history nor the staggering variety of music they created aside from the hits. And to hear them recreate all that, live on stage, 40+ years after the fact, was truly amazing. The multimedia backdrop didn't hinder the heart of the show: The Rascals. And while it was not perfect, neither is Rock n Roll. At least part of their (his)story was told, and I'm glad to know it. It's a Beautiful Morning! The only thing I would have done differently is I would have taken People Got to Be Free...an extended version, multiple solos, introduce the band and back-ups during this, and rock the house....as the encore. It is their most poignant song...defining the generation of Peace, Love and Understanding. Still....Bravo!

    The Rascals still got it!!!

by HowieRocks on 11/23/13Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

A great, great show by one of America's premier bands of all time. I was pleasantly shocked at how amazing they still are as a band.Felix and Eddie's voices are still strong, pure and soulful as ever. Dino is still one of the all time great rock and roll drummers. He played with power, taste, some flash and an awesome array of tasty flourishes and touches rarely seen in today's rock drummers.Gene was ageless holding down all the iconic guitar parts with his boundless stage energy in his return to his home town of Rochester. Thanks to Steven Van Zandt for convincing these guys that bands like this don't come along very often. Unlike their Hall of Fame reunion they looked genuinely thrilled to be together doing what they do. I had a blast. I only wish I could have stood up for the show. The Rascals music should not be taken sitting down!

    Rascals

    by Stymie55 on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

What a great time. Loved how they interspliced songs and video and explained how the band was formed and what led up to their demise. Great to see the entire band back together and performing again. Will definitely go see this show again if they play nearby. Don't miss this amazing event.

One Upon a Dream was GREAT!!

    by jerbear on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

I absolutely loved the Rascals music way back when, and when I got the opportunity to see them live they did not disappoint. In spite of not being together for 40 years or so the band looked good. But more importantly they SOUNDED Great. Just exactly the way I remembered them. The show going on, on the big screen told about the story of the band members and and how they came together as a group. And it tells of their success with their own music. But the live performances of all their big hits is what we all came to hear. And they absolutely NAILED IT!! Song after song, memory after memory........the show was great. The guys worked hard to put on a good show and they did. No problems hitting the high notes for these guys. I always said if Ray Charles and Paul McCartney ever formed a band........it would have sounded a lot like the Rascals. They were and still are awesome. Go see this show! There arent many bands out there that can boast they have all the original members in the show. This is one of them.

    An Entertaining Show

    by Slappyspappy on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

If you were an avid fan of the Rascals, you will enjoy this show. It is what it is though. A group of guys with AARP status trying to bring back the glory days. For the most part, Felix's voice is pretty spot on. Eddie struggled a bit. The hits were above average, the more obscure songs, were, well more obscure. The Kirby was an excellent venue to view this show and the price was right. Had I paid three times that to see them in New York City, I would have been disappointed. Bottom line is if you are a real Rascals fan, don't miss it. If you weren't, I believe you might be a little disappointed.

    Rascals show is great.

    by JoelDeb on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Very unique the way its set up with the film show and music combined. Either one on its own would have been enough to hold my interest but together- not just good and interesting but it touched me. Of course being 62 y.o. may have something to do with that. Kudos to the guys, Stevie VZ and everyone involved in bringing this to us. I hesitate going to some of these shows by groups of yesteryear; I just don't want to be around when formerly glorious performers can no longer hit the notes. But gladly that wasn't the case here at all. They were spot on. I could of stayed all nite. Btw, there are no bad seats at the Kirby Center. That place is amazing. I've been a supporter and intend to go more often in the future.

Rascals a return to 60s music

    by 60spersona on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Two hours of rockin music. A unique format that showcases the artists and the times. Good show for fans of the Rascals and those who enjoy a simpler form of rock.

The Rascals - The Dream Lives On

    by ChrisandElaine on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

We don't ever recall feeling this way following a performance. My wife, unlike me who grew up loving the Rascals during the 60s, even remarked how touched she was by the performance as she recalled all their hits. We both agreed that we would definetly go see them again either as a concert or the concert/show performance. Please come back to Pennsylvania! And not to forget the backup musicians and singers, they were fantastic as well, a real complement to the Rascals. We read some reviews in newspapers complaining that the show didn't delve into the issues that broke the group up. I guess that's why they're called critics - we went to hear the music and experience the show, and we were not disappointed.

Wilkes Barre / My 22nd Show So Far

    by KSDNJ on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

This was my 22nd show, which I guess is crazy for a show that doesn't change in terms of setlist. Also, it sounds crazy since the storyline, lighting, and multimedia effects are the same from night to night. The storyline, lighting, and multimedia aren't what has brought me back 22 times with 7 more shows on the horizon. What brings me back are the band's performances, which only keep getting better and better. I still know their best show hasn't happened yet. Each show I see or hear something new. I still hope the Rascals are able to attract younger people and more new fans to their shows. The musicians all have more energy and play so much better than most younger bands I go see. Their music is classic (timeless) and shouldn't be considered oldies.

    rascals

    by franknicky on 11/22/13F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Music was great. Voice of Felix--FANTASTIC!! Special effects -awesome. History of The Rascals- very informative. SONGS-TERRIBLE! Although they did play their 'best' songs-- I wanted to hear the Rascals play these songs and songs by other artists ( as groups usually do )- I and the audience never heard of many of these songs before. This happened once before at a Four Tops concert. People were walking out! We thought we were going to hear the Four Tops of the '60's-- not the NEW FOUR TOPS! They are the Four Tops of the '60's--These groups are famous because of the 'past'-- they are not going to duplicate what made them famous in the '60's. . We don't want to hear their NEW songs. We want to hear 'the old'-- what we grew up with and can relate to.

Show at the Fox, Detroit, 11/15/13

by eastsidenycfan on 11/16/13The Fox - Detroit

Wow, awesome suprise on the show & music, energy and audience...the rendetion of Grooving will always stay with me, flawless, same with Beatiful Morning, and great flow to the whole set which included 15 min intermission. The detroit audience energized these guys in a beatiful way. They stayed authentic and genuine to their roots and the audience picked it up and lifted them up for a fantastic show. Great music that just never gets played commercially today, but is timeles. Great beats and energy. Consider myself lucky to had seen the show in this theater and setting.
