The Psychedelic Furs Tickets

The show was fabulous but getting into the venue was less than stellar (more on that at the end). It was my first time seeing The Furs, and I was not in the least bit disappointed. They played a great mix of older and newer songs, and the crowd seemed quite engaged. The band looked and sounded great. I'd absolutely see The Psychedelic Furs again the next time they're in town. On the venue: This was not my first, second, or even third show at the Paramount, but it was uncommonly disorganized. I purchased a VIP pass and followed the instructions only to be told that I was in the wrong place (along with at least 1 or 2 dozen other people). So we went to the new area as instructed and stood there for a while only to be moved around again (next to the original location). We were received instructions to be there at a certain time but that seemed to be totally worthless because we were all just in the regular entry line anyway. Thankfully, the actual show was fantastic, and that really helped to make me feel ok about the whole experience.

I really like the Furs and had never seen them live but always heard good things. Indeed, they put on a great show and I enjoyed it a lot. However, I made the trek up to Seattle to see Squeeze more than the Furs and I was not disappointed. In fact, I could have left the venue after Squeeze’s dynamite set and been perfectly content. They are that good live. So tight as a band and such great diversity to their songs and playing. I love the variety in their music and enjoyed even songs I did not know, although there weren’t many of those. This is the second time I’ve seen Squeeze live (first time they were the headliner at a relatively small club in portland) and I’ll see then any time they come near to where I am. They are that good. So, no knock on the Furs, they were good too and I’m glad I saw them. But as much as I like them, their songs all have a certain similarity that I don’t hear in Squeeze or other bands from that era which I love.

I absolutely love this band and Richard Butler is one of my all time favorite singers! His voice is unique and grabs your soul with his tone and melodic sound. The band was great and are all seasoned players. I felt like I was back in the 80's at the show. The band has only gotten better with time and I wish they would come back and play for 2-3 hours. I would see them over and over again if they toured every year:)

Squeeze gave a great onstage performance and Psychedelic Furs were absolutely amazing to see after all these years. Both bands had all of us dancing and loving the music! The venue was not coordinated for the VIP guests though and that was disappointing.

Squeeze and the Psychedelic Furs are amazing! They sound just as amazing as when I first heard their music back in the day! And both of their stage presence just draws you in giving you a whole new appreciation for their music. The sound was perfect, the crowd of Gen Xers felt perfect and the Paramount is a fantastic forum for concerts! Could not have been better!!

Squeeze, with Paul Carrack, was phenomenal. They sounded like they were in their 20’s, when they’re actually in their 70’s. So much energy! The Furs upped the game even further, with Richard L. Butler on vocals. His voice is majestic and one of a kind. What a tremendous show!!

Since I was 18, I wanted to see the Psychedelic Furs and I was not disappointed. The Squeeze show was good giver the bass was too high, making it difficult to hear the singer and light show was a bit blinding. However the PF show made up for it. The lead singer was in full form and gave us a delight in performance and opportunity to reminisce about our rowdy yet moody HS days or that might have just been me. I would see the Furs again and again if only to get that chance to sing Heartbreak Beat with 50,000 people in unison.

This is the first time I had attended a show at the newly renovated and transformed Uptown in Minneapolis. The venue was incredible! Our seats (balcony, 103 D) were phenominal and well worth the considerable expense. While I was there primarily to commune with the Psychedelic Furs once again, it really was Squeeze that stole the show as the opening act. The venue seemed to be set up very well for this incredible band, and perhaps less so for the Furs. When the Furs came on, the (amazing) performace of the drummer seemed to out compete with Butler's iconic voice and the haunting sax and horns of Mars Williams (at least from where we were sitting). All in all, a night to remember fondly in a venue that I will return to again as soon as possible.

Great Music, both bands still well polished! And what a venue!!! I’ll be back at Uptown Theatre…

The Psychedelic Furs still put on a great show. I have seen them many times over the years and they never disappoint. It was great to hear all the older songs, along with a few of the newer ones. What great memories!

These guys were amazing! That ICONIC voice has not changed! The band was excellent! So glad they are still touring! THANK YOU! Keep touring!

Furs were just as good now as the 80's. Venue is a great place for a show to feel more intimate. Bar staff was great also.

2nd concert for my teen…both of us loved it! Crowd was great! Hard Rock is cozy and no matter where you sit is a great seat!

Awesome guitarist and drummer. Great bass player. Vocals were sometimes weak. Lighting was Amazing. A must see group.

We loved this concert. The Psychedelic Furs is a band that all generations can listen to. The public dancing from teenagers to elderly enjoyed this band.

The Psychedelic Furs were in spectacular form on Friday, 19 May. The set list covered their entire career with a Roxy Music cover added. With Mars missing, there was a different dynamic of the songs and energy, but the audience definitely gave an added boost of energy. i personally was thrilled for the addition of House to the set list. The venue staff was very friendly and helpful.

We booked a hotel room for the night and traveled with our dog. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend due to our fur kid getting sick. We love her and had to stay with her and left Orlando in the morning. Sorry and a bit heartbroken to have missed seeing this fabulous band that we adore. It stings a bit but I hope we will see the Furs soon at another venue.

Very sad to discover their Saxophone player passed away. Hard Rock is a beautiful facility and a great concert venue, but their drink prices are an abomination.
