  • Great experience

by Topper on 10/7/25Oak Grove Racing Gaming and Hotel - Oak GroveRating: 5 out of 5

I bought these tickets for my wife’s birthday. Her late father loved the music of ELO and used to play it a lot for her. It brought back wonderful memories of her childhood. The band was awesome and it was great to hear the music live.

  • A night to remember...

by Sunshine on 10/7/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I have loved ELO since I was 9. I use to go riding in the car with my sister and she would have them playing. It was always a good time! ELO has always given me good memories. It's sad to grow old and miss out on the original singers, but these guys did a fabulous job! It was great! I even bought a Tshirt!

  • If you are a fan of ELO, "just go!"

I very much like ELO. I have seen very large concert experiences with Jeff Lynne. They were memorable. The experience seeing The Orchestra is a meaningfully more intimate affair. It was clear that seemingly everyone there thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I think the challenge the band has is a lack of recognition and lack of marketing. I had no idea this group toured or honestly even existed. I truly enjoyed the evening. If you like ELO, please consider attending one of The Orchestra's concerts. Honestly? The sound was "ELO"... spot on. I am confident you will enjoy yourself ... perhaps I will see you there!

  • Great band not much charisma

Technically the band is very good and play the songs well. They do lack a stage preset but I would still see them again.

  • great performance

We have seen Jeff Lynn's ELO twice. This group, which included the grandson of one of Jeff Lynn's original performers would make Jeff proud. They performed his songs so they sounded just like him while entertaining us with their spirited interactions on stage. I would see them again if they come to Cincinnati again.

  • RUN don’t walk to see this CONCERT!

by TT on 10/6/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The band was awesome & so much fun to watch on stage. They seemed to have as much fun playing ELO songs as we did listening to them!

  • You will know every song!

This show was wonderful! Of course, everyone knew all of the songs! Super talented musicians! High energy!

  • Well orchestrated!

Much is the title suggests, the entire band played amazingly. I’ve seen a couple tribute bands to ELO, and I think the orchestra does an amazing job with its instruments best. Vocals were touch and go sometimes though not on fault to the members; but the theater acoustics amplify certain tones better. If you needed an echo or reverb, it would work in your favor. Lyric clarity can be somewhat fickle (such as hearing the French lyrics in “Hold On Tight”). Still would totally go again.

  • Started off great

by MacHic on 10/2/25Orpheum Theater - MadisonRating: 3 out of 5

Opening act was okay. The gentleman with a guitar was a little difficult to understand (I only knew 2 of the 4 songs he performed - Hallelujah and Imagine). His personalization and points of inflection seemed a little off to me. I personally did not care for his performance but he seemed to appeal to the audience. Apparently, we had 2 (perhaps 3?) substitute musicians - not members of the band who get called onto the tour when needed - performing for The Orchestra on my evening. They had nothing to do with The Orchestra but get called when needed. This also meant we did not have the last remaining band member who left ELO for this band. This was disappointing. "Health reasons"was the need for the subs. I hope the performers are better. The first set of songs by The Orchestra was terrific - all of the oldies and goodies. Totally thrilled with their choices and performances. The second set after intermission? Well let's just say that except for 2 songs, I should have left during intermission. Not only was the second set much shorter but most of the songs were not ELO songs. Isn't that why I bought tickets and drove two hours for this performance? Did not purchase any of the "souvenirs"or CD's that were being hawked at the concert by the woman who seemed like she didn't care to be there. The venue was about 75% empty during the concert. I seemed to have fit the age range of the audience which was expected for the age of this music. So I felt like I was appropriate for the concert; don't really think anyone was much younger than me. Venue did not have escalators or elevators but knew that ahead of time (and it wasn't an issue for me anyway). Liked my balcony seat except for the humongous suspended/hanging black speaker in my way on the stage. Could see 2/3's of the video screen behind the band but had to lean way down in order to see the drummer. Guess there was no need to mention that there would be blocked vision when purchasing the tickets online. Been there, done that. No need to see The Orchestra again. Just wish I had instead seen Jeff Lynne's ELO when they came through town 1-2 years ago.
