New York City comes to life on the Radio City Music Hall® stage in this summer’s New York Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes™ presented by Chase. What starts out as an ordinary family vacation to New York City, turns into an adventure when young Emily and her brother Jacob are separated from their mom & dad. Watch as NYC’s most recognizable sites and statues—from Central Park’s Alice in Wonderland to the Wall Street Bull—come alive with the help of the Rockettes to reunite the young family.
Directed and choreographed by Mia Michaels of So You Think You Can Dance, the show features cutting edge dance moves, your favorite songs, a story by award-winning Broadway writer Douglas Carter Beane, and two young, popular stars: Jenna Ortega of the Disney Channel’s Stuck in the Middle and Lilla Crawford of Broadway’s Annie and the film Into the Woods, sharing the role of “Emily.” This immersive, special-effects-filled experience only lasts from June 15 to August 7, so bring your family and make this summer unforgettable!
Loved the Rockettes new summer review. I loved how it took you to all the highlights of NYC. However, my 12 year old granddaughter liked the dancing and thought the NYC tour was not necessary. We all loved the dancing and how amazing it was with the special effects. I would recommend this for all ages.
The Rockettes were amazing at Radio City Music Hall. This was my first time in New York. My cousin and I decided to go to the Rockettes show instead of a Broadway show this time. The show was amazing. The show is a combination play/dance performance. It showcases the main attractions in New York.
I didn't expect the story line of two kids getting lost in NYC, I thought this detracted from the show. However the scenery and costumes were spectacular, the Rockettes were great. Adding the male dancers was a nice touch for variety, but I felt there wasn't enough dancing by the Rockettes. There was SO much about these two kids and it was a bit hokey. Overall a fun show though!
My family and I came to the 2:00 pm show on June 15. We loved every minute of the show. It truly lives up to its name - Spectacular. The 2 little children who have been cast in the show are just wonderful to watch. Great for all ages. Love, love, love ...

I've wanted to see the Rockettes since I was a little girl and it was amazing. Lived up to my expectation. We were able to attend opening night.. Also loved that the Empire state building was lit up in orange and yellow in honor of opening night. It was in fact....Spectacular!
The show was amazing! The story was cute and interesting for all ages. Of course the Rockettes were AMAZING!!!! I want to visit NYC again soon, just to see the show. Love it!
Must see! Worth every penny!! We were amazed at the costumes, set designs and talent.
Last years "Spring Spectacular" was much, much better. I'm disappointed at 2016 show.
I've never been to a Rockettes show before so I was really excited to see what it was like. I was blown away by the Rockettes technically impressive dance numbers, the fantastic costumes, amazing lighting & sets. It's a very large & beautiful venue & stage & the show definitely fills the space!! The background story that links all the dances together was the weekest part of the show, but it served it's purpose well. If you've never seen the Rockettes I would highly recommend you go see this show, it will not disappoint. Radio City Music Hall & The Rockettes are such an important part of the history of New York's entertainment business, I believe it's a must see!
This show is great! I took my 2 teenage daughters and they loved it as well.
The story line was so apprapro. We had just toured the city with all its highlights and of course got lost too in the subway. The two children who amazing. They got lost from their parents and ran from one New York site to another. The musical, costumes, singing and stage productions were out of this world. The financial district sone money fell from the sky. Dancing in the rain yes the rocket yes danced in the rain! Talking lions at the Mett, statues with advise, lights on Broadway costumes lit up and of course the rocketttes lined up to high kick made for an unforgettable show!!!
I went thinking it was going to be like the Christmas spectacular show I've become to love but there was hardly no dancing by the Rockettes. More of a children's show, mostly acting.
Second year we've seen this show and thought it was fantastic. The sets and production were amazing. More entertaining than a Broadway show. The Rockettes are always terrific and a real show stopper.
As a native New Yorker I usually have a hum drum feeling about doing touristy things, like see the Rockettes perform. BUT, this time I was Impressed. The show tells the story of two tourist youngsters and their parents in NYC. I won't spill the details, but it was cleverly done, with humour, highlighting NYC experiences,and of course, great dancing. , They did not overkill on the dancing, even if it is the Rockettes. In this day and age with professional dancers highlighted in shows like Dancing with the Stars and as backdrops to many music artists performances, the Rockettes may seem a bit outdated. Not so here, whereby this production wisely incorporates them into a Broadway show type story. The scenery and costumes were gorgeous. Never a dull moment in this production. At one point dancers came into the audience, which was enlivening. The storyline is darling. The only caveat is they treaded once into political territory with a comment about a wall, which you no doubt will understand its meaning. It would be better not to have that, but of course, this being NYC I guess I can see why they had it. The show made me smile quite a few times. On the subway home, speaking to someothers who had just seen the show, they shared my sentiment that it was really good show. So, to sumize this is not your typical Rockettes Christmas show, this is even better!
One of the best shows I have seen. Entertaining, amazing and spectacular. Wanted to see more. Not to miss.
I attended this show with a friend and we were a captive audience throughout. Enjoyed the contemporary flair in the dance movements and loved the New York theme.
This was the most breathtaking, jaw dropping, thrilling, over the top spectacular show I have ever seen in my life. I feel sorry for everyone in New York who was not at Radio City Music Hall tonight. I will come back to see it again and again.
This show blew me away. Amazing. The music, dancing, choreography, staging, costumes and everything else were beyond amazing. The show is fast paced and thoroughly enjoyable. Wow what a night.
Very entertaining. Wonderful singing and dancing. Amazing graphics. Should be a must see for anyone visiting NYC as it highlights many iconic sites. And there is nothing to compare to the Rockettes!
