As close to the Original CREAM as you're going to get! Kofi Baker, Malcolm Bruce, and Will Johns gave a rousing performance. So many Cream Classics, So Very Well Done! Close your eyes during Crossroads, and you'd swear it was Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton back for one more time. Badge, SWLABR, I'm So Glad, Strange Brew - many more - Each song punctuated with those amazing Cream rides. And of course - White Room & Sunshine of Your Love had everyone on their feet as the house completely rocked! Bruce on Bass was magic, and a perfect complement to Johns' and his magnificent Lead Guitar, both backed by the amazing pulsing drumbeat of Kofi Baker, who could go stroke for stroke with his dad. Lived up to its billing as THE PEDIGREE OF CREAM IN A NEW MULTI-MEDIA CONCERT EXPERIENCE!
You must be a true Cream fan to enjoy this! If you're going just to hear the hits then don't! Cream was a jam band and they definitely jam! There was a woman in front of me and after the first half of the show she complained cuz she did not know one song! If you truly appreciate the music of cream, and not just the hits and you're into the jam thing you will like it! If you want to hear the hits and go from song to song quickly, you will be deeply disappointed!
Great show!!! True to their origins with extra improve thrown in. Great vocals. They sound and play like their parents and uncle. It felt like '67 all over again.
Cream 50th Anniversary show was a real surprise! Not really expecting much, since I did not know the extent of the sons and nephew of Cream's musical experience or background, it was a masterful job of interpreting the Cream magic and they also added their own taste to the songs to liven them up so to say. It was an intense, fast-moving show with some interaction between the band and the audience. Some great stories of family from all three band members. They certainly gave us our monies worth as they played from 8:10 until 11pm, with only a ten-minute break at 9:30. Was a wonderful time and brought back some great old memories of one of my favorite bands and loved their own adaptations of them.
We really enjoyed the music and watching this next generation honor their predescesors.
Their performace of the Music of Cream was spot on.
Great show. They are all excellent musicians. Baker’s double base made it sound like has four arms.
I understand the personal nature of these shows They are the sons of the original band and a nephew . They did an exceptional job of recreating the music along with stories of why these songs are special. This is a show I would like to see every night of the week..... It was an amazing performance. To hear this music live is such a joy since the band burned bright but only produced 4 great albums.Thank you for keeping this music alive....
Vocals couldn't compare to jack and eric.left me wanting to hear real thing
One of the best concerts we've seen. Kofi, Malcolm and Will are great and really seem to be having fun playing together. My teenage sons had a great time. I highly recommend the show! Kofi was amazing, despite his broken hand.
I went to see The Music of Cream mostly on a whim. I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was VERY pleased. I purchased the VIP meet and great, and was blown away with how charming the band was, coming into the seats to chat for a long time before and after the sound check. The musicians were top notch. Kofi Baker was amazing on the drums (even played with a broken right hand). I would up purchasing the instant live recording of the show so I could re-listen to their versions of the best of Cream. Highly recommend.
The ("boys") are a chip off the old block. Every bit as good as their fathers and uncle. Loved the show, the venue.
Even though these were General Admission seats, because of the size of the venue, there weren't really any bad seats. Great crowd, no issues. Concert was really good. These 3 weren't Clapton, Bruce and Baker, but they were still decent musicians and did faithful covers of the Cream songs they played. Besides, it was Baker's son, Bruce's son and Clapton's nephew, so they grew up around these people. What better influence!!
The genes from their father and uncle showed in their performance. Recommend for anyone with a chance to see them. I wish they would play at Bethel Woods for the 50th anniversary of Woodtock.
Will Johns is an amazing guitarist! Kofi and Malcolm are truly 'apples that haven't fell far from the tree'. I recommend it for people who like the music of Cream!
With big shoes to fill the three young musicians acquitted themselves well.
This concert knocked our socks off. My husband has been a Cream fan since the late 60s, and it's still his favorite band. The sons and nephew of Baker, Bruce and Clapton upheld the spirit and music of that great band. Vocals were spot-on. The jamming was there. Tight band. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loved Cream, or, wants to experience what many others loved.
Very cool to see three members with direct ties to original band members. Music was great and well represented although the vocals left a bit to be desired.
Wonderful musicians up there on the stage representing their fathers and uncle. You did Cream proud.
