The Miracles were good but I dint pay to see them I payed to see Brenton Wood and he wasnt there found out when the concert finished and no Brenton Wood Disappointed nothing there saying he wasn't going to perform
It was the longest concert I’ve ever been to, after 5 hours with no intermission we left once we found out the main act Brenton Wood wasn’t performing. We had no heads up about it and he was the only reason we chose this concert.
The sound quality was poor, people were allowed to smoke cigars, and marijuana during the show.
The music was great and the vibes were there. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed like I’m sure a lot of others were too that Brenton Wood and Barbara Mason couldn’t be there to perform. However, the production overall could have been better and a bit tighter security. People were highly intoxicated and kept getting up and down from seats. We left a bit early because the surprise guest wasn’t my cup of tea personally. On the way out, drunk girls were making comments and trying to start problems in the parking lot. The DJ was killin it and woke me up in between performers 😅. Since we left early, we don't know if Baby Bash performed either but it was already 3 1/2 hours in and still nothing. Overall, fun experience but could have been a bit better.
I have seen this group perform and the lead singer Sydney Justin, is BETTER than Smokey Robinson, no disrespect to Smokey. But, their show is dynamic, exciting and sexy,....I am so glad they are performing in Phoenix, FINALLY.....I love this group. GO SYDNEY JUSTIN, YOU ROCK........totally worth seeing
What a great show, too bad more people didn't come. How could you go wrong with the Platters and the Miracles? This just didn't seem to be advertised very much. Our friends we invited to join us didn't know anything about it. Some people I talked to on Saturday said they would have loved to come. However, it was very strange that our seat assignments did not seem to mean a thing. Anyway, everyone in our group had a great time.
The concert was a success. The Contours, The Platters, and The Miracles sounded as great as they did 40 years ago! The audience sang, danced, and totally aprreciated the talents of these three groups (there were supposed to be 4 but one never showed up and no announcement was made about that)! It was a totally fun evening of memories!! The only downside was the disorganization.....VIP ticket holders had to wait in line with everyone else but were supposed to be ushered in first.....why pay the extra money with no privileges. The event was supposed to start at 7 but ended up starting at 7:50 after most people were in line by 6:30. Other than that, it was a perfect Sacamento evening, the weather was gorgeous and everyone left very happy and satisfied!!
All three acts were great. My only problem was with the sitting arrangements. We had assigned seats but when e got there, they told us that you could sit in any seat in your assigned row. Well, of course, this lead to numerous arguments. Those working there were little help, some said take any seat, some said sit in your assigned seat. Hey, there were no numbers on the seats. Not fun!!!
THE SHOW WAS GREAT. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THE CRYSTALS DIDN'T PERFORM AND THAT WAS PART OF THE SHOW. AND NO REASON WAS GIVEN FOR THEM NOT APPEARING.
