I wish it was longer! What a beautiful show. So lovely to hear all the music from the game and see the creators participate via video.

The show was great! They played wonderfully and the pacing of the show was exciting and brought back a lot of memories I had growing up. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend. The only downside was the fact that that audience and the theater didn't respect the music as much as it could have been.

I had goosebumps the entire time

Beautiful concert. Music selection was great, the symphony played wonderfully, and the video footage of gameplay and cut scenes along with the music really pulled it together.

zelda symphony of the goddesses was rather boring

by anonymous891 on 3/27/16Times Union Ctr Perf Arts Moran Theater - Jacksonville

I believe the music was supposed to go to the gameplay that was shown on the screen, it was out of sync most of the time. There should be more to it like a light show with fog to keep your attention. I was falling asleep, I left halfway in. But musically all the musicians did a wonderful job. I just felt like I wasted my money and it wasnt cheap.

    OMG!

by Britbojangles on 3/27/16Times Union Ctr Perf Arts Moran Theater - Jacksonville

I took my 10 year old to see this with the expectation that he would fall asleep. While he loves Zelda, the show was at 8 on a school night. This kid made it the entire two hours. The show was captivating and exciting. I would go see this over and over again.

Symphony of the Goddesses is still going strong!

by OldSchoolGamer on 11/1/15Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

This was the second time I saw The Legend Of Zelda, Symphony Of Goddesses. The first time was at Milwaukee during their first season. There have been some minor changes, but for the most part the performance is still a great experience and worth seeing at least once for fans of the Legend of Zelda game franchise. The venue provided cramped seating, and unfortunately the stage lighting obscured up to 20% of the screen for those in the upper balcony. but the sound quality and volume were perfect. The orchestra and choir provided a great performance! Obviously the focus has always been on the music, but the first season performance included an introduction to the program by producer Jeron Moore explaining how the symphony came to be, and describing some of the collaboration with Nintendo. At this performance, other than a 30 second statement by Jason Michael Paul introducing conductor Eimear Noone describing his dissatisfaction with the opening song, there was no interaction other than by Eimear bowing or gesturing to the orchestra at proper times for applause. A less personal experience, you could say.

    Extra Hearts all around!

by DarcNova642 on 10/28/15Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

I purchased tickets to see this concert as a surprise birthday gift for my wife. She's been a life long Zelda fan, and had no idea this concert was even a thing. The show was excellent. Even I as a Zelda novice appreciated the music and the performance of the orchestra and choir was perfect. As a gamer myself, if they were to create a Final Fantasy or Assassins Creed version of this concert I would be all over it. The music is inspiring and the way they timed the giant video screen to the music was really very well done. All in all, it was a great time and a lot of my friends have expressed interest in going next time it comes back to town. One tiny let down is that there was nowhere to buy a CD of the music, I think people would have went crazy to own their own copies.

    1st Symphony Experience Amazing!

by stephanie617 on 10/27/15Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

The coolest way to introduce an 11 year old to the symphony! My son loved every minute of it! Of course he also knows everything about The Legend of Zelda and the music. He was telling me what each song was and which game each song was from.

Exciting for Zelda fans and music lovers

by BobtheKeeper on 10/27/15Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

Season 3 of the Symphony of the Goddesses features the same 4 movements we've gotten in the first two seasons with footage adjusted for Wind Waker HD and to reduce spoilers (Wind Waker and Twilight Princess video footage are quite different in the last half than before). Majora's Mask gets special attention (yay!) with updated footage from the 3DS remaster. Plus the original suite footage is "spoiler free" (though more depressing). The new suite is welcome and fun, though Termina Field is not very different from the main theme played at the concert in other places. But it's worth it for Deku Palace and the Song of Healing. The Clock Town reprise is interesting; I love the tune but it was in the original suite. There's no more Link's Awakening (but I got plenty in season 1 and 2) and no more Spirit Tracks (except for a bit in the boss battle medley). Lots of surprises, wonderful nostalgia, epic new music and visuals; great concert.

    Of course, legendary!

by NeedNicknameHere on 10/27/15Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

Let the nerds rejoice! You can not go wrong with a Zelda symphony. The screen looked good. The music hall was really, really nice. The concert started rough. The producer had them play the opener over. It was awesome the second time! The Wind Waker movement had a noticeable percussionist error, played a measure late at a critical moment. Twilight Princess had either a problem with a mic on one of the harpists or they also made an error on the stand out part in the late middle area. And I still think it's weird to hear acoustic instruments mic'd. The concert still sounded great though, amazing and worth every cent. I had the best time. The crowd was wonderful too. Zelda fans are simply awesome. I wish I bought a shirt, my only regret.

    Good musicians, bad production

by WakeUpLink on 10/27/15Music Hall At Fair Park - Dallas

The show initially was delayed because several musicians were late due to weather. Ok - not that big of a deal, except it wasn't the only issue. The show got off to a rocky start when the video did not start with the planned TriForce Heroes footage. This caused the performance to be slightly out of sync with the video that was shown on the screen, but it would have been nearly undetectable if not for the producer/director of the show. Immediately after the opening performance, he informed the audience that they were going to repeat the opening performance because the TriForce Heroes footage did not play the first time. In my opinion this took a LOT away from the whole show, as it completely ruined the pace. These delays also caused intermission to be cut short. The delays were one thing, but the show itself fell a bit short for me. Majora's Mask seemed to dominate the video footage throughout the night, which was a disappointment considering that it's only the 6th highest selling LoZ game of all-time. A concert hall packed full of Zelda fans eager to experience some Link nostalgia were robbed of iconic moments from the original NES game and the SNES sequel. The show lacked a flow or theme, opting instead to bounce around seemingly incoherently from one game to next. Then, from the vast well of material available from the 30 year life span of the Zelda franchise, the creators of this "masterpiece" decided to repeat some of the scenes throughout the performance. That's right - 30 years of history across one of the expansive universes in video gaming, and somebody felt like they didn't have enough material and thus had to show some scenes twice. I do have to give props to the Dallas Pops performers themselves. They did a fantastic job with the music, paying homage and respect to a piece of culture that is so near and dear to the hearts of those of us who grew up with this series. Sidenote: If you're going to see SotG in the future, try to look away from the screen from time to time. Most of the games shown are low-resolution, and the visuals will give you a headache after some time.
