Beautifully Done!
by RCB712 on 5/6/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkBB King's was a great venue for these old NYers. The voices, amazingly, have lost nothing. Best songs were the opener - She May Call You Up Tonight, Desiree, Balerina, Walk Away Renee, Lazy Day, and Something on My Mind. Mike Fornatale (the late Pete's cousin, I believe) sounds just like Steve Martin (Caro). Mike Brown (The Great Lickoffsky), principal songwriter and pianist, came on stage to play piano during Pretty Balarina. Even Rick Brand was at the bar. Too bad he didn't take the stage at all. Tom Finn is clearly the leader, and plays amplified acoustic. George Cameron sings his songs, performs backup vocals, and adds percussion. The string section was excellent. A highly recommended show. Pop music at it's finest.
