The show was just GREAT and disappointing at the same time. The 8:00 show did not start until 9:50. The selection of the venue has a city ordinance where all concerts must be over at 11:00. So of course, we only received a hour of The Kings Men Tour. It was very disappointing. I enjoyed the hour show, and really wish the circumstance behind the reason they started late did not happen. The show was great and disappointing at the same time. Tickets were $85.00, parking $15.00, and food to enjoy the concert was $50.00. I did not get my monies worth.

    Did not get money's worth!

by ChevyC on 9/28/12chastain amphitheatre - Atlanta

Everyone who purchased tickets for the Atlanta show should receive at least 50% of their purchase back. The show lasted only one hour. We saw more of the set-up than the actual show.

    Great Gospel Show

by AAPowell on 9/28/12Houston Reliant Arena - Houston

This show was fantastic. Show you how God works: about 6 weeks ago when I heard the show on the radio, I knew I wanted to go, I told my sister and she said get the tickets. So when I looked up the tickets realize that the show was on a Thursday Night, it was like I had too much going on, I had class at 6 pm, my daughter had praise dance practice at 6:30 pm, my son had football practice at 6 pm. So my husband was going to have to take them while I went to class and there was no way we would be able to go to the concert. So as the month passed, I did not like my class on Thursday so I dropped it and started taking a music class which is Monday's and Wednesdays;, then there was no Praise dance practice nor no football practice. So I know God freed this Thursday for me to get to the concert. The tickets were a lil pricy, my husband was grunting, but at the end, It was the best $100 spent on a concert. It was really organized and well put together, KIRK is awesome!!! Kirk and Donnie kept you on your feet. This was a continuous 3 hours of church, blessings and laughter. I WISH IT WAS HERE 1 MORE NIGHT SO I CAN CALL EVERYONE I KNOW TO GO AND SEE IT.

    High Energy Concert

by Kimdablessedmama on 9/25/12Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

The Kings Men concert was filled with high energy performances from Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Israel Houghton and Donnie McClurkin. The audience stood for long stretches of the show. It was almost like being at a rock concert. There was plenty of gospel music and dancing and good clean fun. The show ran a little over 3 hours and not many people left early. It seems as though Kirk Franklin could have done a couple more hours by himself. It seemed as though everyone on stage and in the crowd really enjoyed themselves.

    The fabulous King's Men Tour

by Lostwithouthim on 9/24/12Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

The concert was the most wonderful experience I could have asked for. The music, the words and the way the songs were perform, was a sweet sound to my ears. The Lord was in that place. Hope there will be more concerts like this. Thank you

Go see this concert. It is spirit filled and God is in this place. I loved every moment of the concert. It was about 3 hrs long and I did not want it to end. They put so much effort into every detail. It was amazing. I drove from Northern Nevada to see this concert. It was so worth it.

    Awesome Show!

by Allpro93 on 9/23/12Sleep Train Pavilion - Concord

Last night my date and I had a great time at the King's Men concert. This was there 3rd concert of the tour and by all accounts they had worked most of the kinks out. The show started at 7:30 with a local choir and was followed by the main attraction about 15-20 minutes later. The concert was 3 hrs and there were no intermissions at all just continuous music. Understand that Kirk Franklin is the headliner and the other men though they have there own sets are more integrated throughout the show. Most of the popular songs are sung in the last hour were each performer does a mini set. There was one hiccup when a montage of pictures with predominately white men and women where flashing as Kirk led into his song "Smile" it went for a minute or so and he said stop and was like I don't know who half of these white men and women are. He said that this was the first time that this happen and said it would be the last and he and the audience laughed. Overall my date and I were pleased with the show and I felt that I got my money worth. I would recommend the show.

The King's Men Was Spiritually Electrifying!!!

by Kimdablessedmama on 9/22/12Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk - Universal City

From the moment the concert began, until the lights came on...everyone was singing, clapping, praising, stomping, shouting, and moving! It was electrifying!!! I am not kidding...so many people outside after the show were exchanging comments about how good of a concert this was. They truly hit the ball out of the park with this one. The King's Men should be proud of themselves. This should be a yearly event!

The King's Men Were All That and Then Some

by LadyB04 on 9/21/12Gibson Amphitheater - Universal City (Hollywood)

After weeks of anticipation, last night I had an experience (about 3 hrs) I will never forget. My daughter, my sister and I went to see the King's Men Concert at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, CA. The concert was awesome. As a gospel music lover, three of these gentleman (Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp & Kirk Franklin) were already favorites of mine. However, Israel Houghton was deservedly with these men. His body of music and instrumental talent will require that I obtain his CD in the very near future. Early on, it was apparent that an anointing was on all of them. Thus, the event changed from being entertaining to being a spiritual experience, a revival of sorts. I could feel the love in the room and that was great. I liked the smooth transitions between performers and the ease in which these men sang with one another. I liked how in the first half, they did more individual performances of some of their great songs. However, towards the end they were on the stage together collaborating to sing their greatest hits. I loved it and so did my daughter and sister. I hope they do this again next year. I'll definitely be there.

Husband and I saw them in LA. Drove from San Diego so we wouldn't miss it. This concert is off the chain. A MUST See. Best concert I ever saw in my life. If I had the money, I'd fly to their next destination and do it all over again. Awesome God. Awesome Performers. Awesome music. Great collaboration of music. Whomever choreographed the concert did a great job.

    A MUST!!!!!!

by Kyma2001 on 9/21/12Gibson Ampitheatre - Los Angeles

There aren't any words that could accurately explain the emotion and blessing I received from attending this service. I call it a service because it was much more than a show. If you are in love with GOD and gospel music you MUST attend. I have never experienced Gospel music like that concert before. AMAZING

    WTH???

    by DisappointedinPHX091612 on 9/17/12Comerica Theater - Phoenix

Okay, where do I start? I was SO excited to see The King's Men concert last night! I bought tickets for my daughter and me to attend. It started at 7:30pm on a Sunday night, but I was thinking if they do a 3-hour show then that's not too bad. People started getting up and leaving by 10pm. By 10:45pm, yes, more than 3 hours later, although all of the performers had performed a bit on stage (except for Marvin Sapp, who did like 7 songs just by himself), none of them had sung any of the most popular songs. We were tired, and we both had to go to school and work today, so we left. A friend who was also at the concert told me that shortly after I left, Kirk Franklin came on stage and announced that they were having timing issues and that they were having an INTERMISSION. Seriously? An intermission 3.5 hours into the show??? My friend said they started singing their more popular songs after the intermission, but she left at midnight and they were still going strong. I feel like we were cheated out of the show we paid for. I didn't get to see them sing ANY of the songs I wanted to hear, since they waited until 4 hours into the show to play those songs. All in all, not a good experience. I feel like they should offer refunds to all attendees.
