About

THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW IN CONCERT:

The King Khan & BBQ Show play a brand of garage rock that’s packed with energy, humor, and riotous fun. Usually appearing in wild costumes that involve wigs, military helmets, and turbans, the group marries their garage sound to cartoonish visuals and tongue-in-cheek stage antics. Underneath it all is a true talent for songwriting and musicianship, as guitarist/vocalists King Khan and BBQ trade off leads and strum their hearts out. The end result is a fun, wacky, and adventurous rock ‘n’ roll show that always gets ticket buyers moving and shaking. Fans of surf, garage, and rock would be advised not to miss this hugely talented and always entertaining duo on their Bad News Boys Tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Montreal natives Arish Ahmad Khan (aka King Khan) and Mark Sultan (aka BBQ) began to write songs together in 2000. Soon after, The King Khan & BBQ Show was born, playing various small venues around their home base. Even as Khan focused on his primary band King Khan & The Shrines, the duo found time to record sporadically leading up to the 2004 release of their aptly-titled debut The King Khan & BBQ Show LP. 2006 saw the release of their follow-up album What’s for Dinner?, which received high marks from critics for its unique mix of classic sounds borrowed from rock ‘n’ roll’s past. After a brief split in 2010 the band began performing together again in 2012 to sold out shows in their native Canada and abroad. The album Bad New Boys followed in 2015, cementing their reputation as one of the wildest acts in rock music.
