About

The Kid LAROI is an Australian rapper and singer from the suburbs of Sydney. Born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, the rising star got his big break after opening for Juice WRLD on the late rapper’s tours of Australia in 2018 and 2019. Following a string of one-off singles like “Diva,” “Addison Rae” and the Lil Tjay collaboration “Fade Away,” The Kid LAROI released his debut mixtape F*ck Love in the summer of 2020. The deluxe edition, F*ck Love (Savage), earned the singer his first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to “Without You” featuring Miley Cyrus. In 2021, The Kid LAROI earned a global No. 1 hit with the Justin Bieber duet “Stay,” which went on to be certified Diamond by the RIAA. Since then, the artist has released his debut studio album The First Time (2023), contributed his song “Forever & Again” to the Barbie soundtrack and dropped his 2024 documentary Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About A Kid Named Laroi.

  • Long time to wait for the artist, sound system was iffy

by Sunny on 9/7/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 3 out of 5

We originally went for Glaive and Kid Laroi, but Glaive wasn't there for the showing and no staff or performer addressed it. It was super hot and the overhead fans could have been going the entire time, but they only turned on during the main performance. Otherwise it was fun

  • No warning about no openers.

by Fred on 9/7/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 3 out of 5

i pretty much went just for one of the openers, Glaive. there was nothing about him backing out or not going to be there. so was very disappointed by that. but the actual performance by The Kid Laroi was great and had good experience at the venue

  • Amazing concert!!

by Emery on 9/7/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was amazing, quick access to scan tickets and get inside. Artist was so good, loved it!

  • Surreal experience

by Rueben on 9/7/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

Got to meet The Kid LAROI and he is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. As for his performance, he is hands down one of the best at what he does. The entire show had amazing energy and he ACTUALLY SUNG all his songs, no lip syncing at all!

  • No openers?

by Fujo on 9/7/24The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 3 out of 5

When the tickets were purchased three artists were on the bill. Unfortunately the show did have to be rescheduled 2 times which is understandable with the medical issues the headliner was handling. Not once was anyone notified that the openers would not be attending. No one new until an hour before the show and there was a lot of standing at around before the dj hired to fill the second hour was even on stage. All in all a mess for such a big show.

  • Best concert

by Hiker151 on 8/6/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I loved that the venue was outside and open. Good lighting and special effects. Kid Laroi was amazing. My daughter had the best time. Although the venue claims to be smoke/vape free, tons of people were vaping/smoking around us so they obviously aren't enforcing that.

  • Amazing

  • VIP Entry

by VIP on 7/22/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

The event staff had literally no idea of the VIP Entry list. We waited for 2 hours to get in and were not even sure if we would be let in ahead of general admission. It was poorly planned and there was no support or apology of any kind from the VIP Provider. Laroi was incredible and made up for this but if you buy VIP, be prepared for this.

  • Very disorganized but still fun

by PirateMan on 7/22/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

So when purchasing the tickets we saw we got floor seats at the torch at the LA coliseum and were super excited for this event. For most concerts that i’ve been to, the concert starts usually within a half hour of what the time displayed is, and for this concert it was 6 pm so one would assume that they would open gates at 5 to get everyone inside. Turns out the gates were not even open till around 7 pm, and we arrived at the venue waiting outside at 5:15 pm, however there was a massive line along the sidewalk near the street and it just kept wrapping around like it was never ending. The gates were not even open till around 7ish which was really annoying, almost like the wait for an amusement park ride but worse. Then once we were in, we barely were even able to see the stage due to the crowding over there. We were about 30 feet away from the stage and still could not see anything but we did see the stage setup which just looked like messy wires. We still tried to make the best of our experience and had fun but yeah, overall very disorganized and not as good as expected.

  • Umm

by Linds on 7/22/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 2 out of 5

He came out 4 hours after the starting time. Longer than any other concert I’ve ever been to. He not even allat to be making us wait that long.

  • Unfortunate

by Jess on 7/22/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

The event started later than the time said, two artist preformed… the venue was good . The time was the issue felt like it was from 8-10pm

  • A little disappointed but good night

by Cassandra on 7/21/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

Needs better organization. Tickets said 6pm but that was the gate opening time and it didn’t even open until 6:30. Spotify-style playlist played while we waited for the show to start. Food vendors were horrible with stale popcorn, stale pretzels, stale hotdog buns, and flavorless cheese sauce :( First opener was on stage at 7:30, but finished before 8. Continued to play Spotify-style playlist after. Second opener began at 8:15(?) and went until 8:50. Played more Spotify-style music for 30+ minutes while waiting for main act. Laroi didn’t come on until 9:30. His show was great but he didn’t hit any falsettos (high notes) and butchered Stay without inviting Bieber onstage to perform (even though he was in attendance). Laroi climbed a tree near me toward the end of his set and it was unexpected and cool. Disappointed in a few things, but overall it was a fun night and Laroi’s performance was better than my expectation.

by Izzy on 7/21/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

KID LAROI WAS AWESOME , the venue on the other hand ??? Horrible . Paid $300 for early entry and they had no clue of it and was arguing against us until everyone got upset , they finally came to their senses and let us in but wayyyy after the time we were supposed to , unorganized venue , don’t recommend .

  • False advertisement

by Brooke on 7/21/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

It wasn’t in the colosseum. It was on a stage that they set up next to the colosseum. Such a joke.

  • Great daddy daughter date night

by Jimmy on 7/21/24The Torch at LA Coliseum - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was a perfect place to enjoy a night out with my 9 year old. The line to get on was an adventure, but not miserable. The space and plethora of concessions made up for it as there wasn’t really a line for anything once through the gate. We were able to find a spot where we could both see the stage and be comfortable - not usually possible for a 4 footer. Overall a special and memorable night.
