    Outstanding-Uplifting

by Magicbus on 11/23/21Irving Plaza - New York

Not going to say a lot here. Not there? You missed a special night of music. Working backwards, the encore began with two acoustic songs with only Gary Louris on stage, magical. The second acoustic tune (name forgotten) was played to the most silent audience I've heard in years, time traveling for sure. Art. During the song I became mindful of just how deep in thought I was and then again, not. Small venue, beautifully respectful audience, peaceful. NYC, nighttime & deeply meaningful music. Been listening for years, finally being in the same room with this music was next level. Thank you Jayhawks.

    These folks were great!

by Matt on 11/21/21Brighton Music Hall presented by Citizens - Boston

Obviously, we haven't been to Brighton Music Hall in a bit. It felt crowded, but the Jayhawks didn't seem to care. I had forgotten just how many good songs they have. It was a terrific show.

    no

by The jayhawks on 10/24/21Neptune Theatre - Seattle

the mix was bad. The bass sounded like a guitar. So much high end. Couldn't feel the kick. I know it's lots of flat surfaces Even if you don't like the band the sound person should make them sound good.

    Great show

    by S. D. on 10/24/21Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Really enjoyed this show. Gary Louris has an amazing voice, and the band's harmonies were lovely. I also Louris's guitar work. All in all a good time - really glad I made it!

    Great Show

    by J L on 10/24/21Neptune Theatre - Seattle

To start the Neptune was great. My wife is disabled and we were allowed to skip the main entry line and were shown some disabled seating areas . First time seeing The Jayhawks and they did not disappoint. Long time fan but never had the opportunity to see. Their set was about two hours and must have played 20 songs or so. Material was from all their albums I believe with a couple of covers tossed in. Anyway I was familiar with all but 2 songs. Not disappointed in the set list. If you are a fan or just curios I highly recommend.

nice venue, great people, group was terrific, sound system

by steve on 9/24/19The Cabot - Beverly

See above. Group was terrific despite a sound system that was horrible... loud, tinny out of balance. The system and/or engineer just about ruined the experience. This is a group that plays alternative ( almost soft ) rock. It does not feature ear blasting sound or loud guitar solos

The Jayhawks never disappoint - and neither did the Cabot Theatre. Easy to find, comfortable seating, great acoustics.

    Great show Jayhawks!!

    by ALLIE63 on 10/14/18Birchmere - Alexandria

Such an casual, intimate venue for amazing talent on stage. The food was just ok. The Jayhawks haven't lost a beat though. They are as incredible as ever!! I wrote them in advance that they might play the song "smile" since it has deep meaning to our family with lots of memories. Unfortunately, they did not play that particular song, of I was disappointed, but overall I left with a full heart .Theyve still got it after all these years! Until we meet again, "Smile".

Since I missed them back in the day..never thought I would see The Jayhawks live. Been a huge fan since the early Nineties. Loved the way this show spanned their whole career and especially liked the new album and current band members.

    Jayhawks PCMH

by b1e1e1b on 4/21/17Port City Music Hall - Portland

The band was as good as I ever remember them being. Sound was good and it was a nice small hall. But standing room only SUCKS!!!!! Very, very few seats and they seemed to be sold seconds after the tix went on sale. So it was a very good show, that was very unenjoyable. This was my last show at this venue, because of this, unless I can get seats. With all the venues in Portland too bad it had to be here.

    Still sounding great

    by mizzou1984 on 4/10/17Stiefel Theatre - Salina

Saw them for the first time late 80's and loved Blue Earth. Saw them several times since and they were always good. 2010? tour with Mark Olson was fabulous. Was wary how they would sound without Mark - not to worry - Tim (the drummer) has been with them so long that he has all the harmonies down perfectly. His voice is more polish and non-froggy sounding than Mark's, but all the vocals blended beautifully. Glad Karen is back. And Gary still sounds wonderful. Did a nice job of mixing old with new and played much longer than I expected. Nicely done.

    Epic Evening

by Trajanis on 7/25/16The Fillmore - San Francisco

I'm a long-time Jayhawks fan though this was my first time seeing them live so I wasn't sure what I was in for though had high expectations based on other reviews. The show was fantastic - I was amazed at how tight the band was - the harmonies were spot on. Gary Louris was captivating. His solos at the encore (Angelyne and Settled Down Like Rain) were beautiful. As many great songs as they played, my only complaint was the show didn't go longer and I would have loved to have heard more songs from Sound of Lies....

    Good as ever

by hoopsfanatik on 7/25/16The Fillmore - San Francisco

Wonderful musicianship and collaboration with the audience. Jerry never introduced the band members. He did not have to as it was a love-fest at the Fillmore. What a treasure to see the Jayhawks at this venue
