The J. Geils Band Tickets

Thought that this was something that I would never see again. J Geils is an amazing "party band" and it was "nuthin, but a house party"! I stand behind my statement that Peter Wolf is the best front man ever. He really knows how to work a crowd. Seth Justman's keyboards are unique and amazing. Jerome can still play and Magic Dick is a harmonica maestro. Hadn't seen them since the early 80's and they are still great. Only sorry that they ended at 11:30 and didn't play right into 2010!

Seeing J Geils on New Year's Eve is a Boston tradition that has long been missed. They are still the original house party band. They played so many of the songs that we all loved growing up as Geils fans... Musta Got Lost, Detroit Breakdown; First I Look at the Purse, etc. I'm not a fan of the big hits (you know them the overplayed Love Stinks, Freeze Frame and Centerfold) and it seemed that they really don't enjoy playing them but did it out of demand and that's OK with me. They seemed happiest playing the music that influenced them (Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker) and their early hits. Magic Dick can still wail on the harmonica. I'd give anything to have half the energy of Peter Wolf! It was great to see that they all seem to really enjoy each other and were just having fun and that they can still rock as hard, if not harder, than bands a third of their age... New Year's Eve with J Geils ain't nuthin but a house party.

Awesome concert. They still bring the house down after all these years. I saw the Blow your face out" concert in Boston back they made the Album from. J Geils still rocks the house.

It ws great seeing them again after so long, they sounded great. I hope they play more shows.

The band was amazing. The band had so much energy and played all the songs that I would have liked them to play. They all definitely stood the test of time. The band played for a long time. I don't think that they really liked playing Centerfold. It was almost like they passed through the song and didn't even finish the lyrics.....rather strange. All and all, it was a really fun concert. I would see them again if they came around again.

Peter Wolf was outstanding- great vocals and non stop energy. Band was tight (and played well too). Great to see them back together after all these years. Would definately see them again.

The band is solid and instrumentally amazing. Don't let their age fool you. You will be disappointed if you don't go assuming they can't do it like they used to. They probably do it better!!!!!!

Awesome show, we couldn't get enough and didn't want it to end. Everything was great and we had a hard time sitting down. Go J. Geils and Magic Dick, Peter Wolf is a great commentator, his own bopping on the stage and adlibbing just made it better and better. They sounded so tight even though we haven't heard from them in a while. Write some new music so we can continue to enjoy and glad you are on the road again.

I found the concert very enjoyable and exciting, I grew up with them as I could see most concert goers did, and had a blast from the past, and enjoyed the ringing in f 2010 Thank you!!!!

I had never seen the J. Geils Band back in the 70's & 80's. I had heard from many people that they were the band to see in concert. I finally did last night. It was awesome. Perfect night, New Year's Eve. Peter Wolf and the band were great. Definitely would see again.

J Geils was awesome last night. One of the best concerts ever. Peter Wolf is an incredible entertainer and the rest of the band rocked it!

What an excellent concert!!! I felt like I was back in the 70s. The band sounds just like they did back then and Peter Wolf is such a great entertainer. His energy level is amazing! It was a perfect way to spend New Year's--a great dinner, a little gambling, drinking, and a concert. How do you top that? Thanks Mohegan and J. Geils for a great evening with good friends. We all enjoyed it.

I saw them 40 years ago in Waterbury and Hartford CT and they were great. On 12/31/09 they were better. Best concert of 2009 !!!!!!

It was an amazing and very energetic show. Lead singer Peter Wolf was awesome and hasn't changed. He danced and danced all over the stage, involving audience participation. He was so full of energy.

The last time I saw J Geils band was back in 78' in providence ri,@ the civic center on thanksgiving night . @ that show I could'nt sit down the place was rockin' hard & the boys were tight. Last night some 31 yrs. later the boys rocked the mohegan sun casino hard again with at least 4 encores ....I knew all the songs and sang them aloud with the band. I would go and see them again and suggest you go see them soon if you can .Otherwise it would serve you right to suffer ,,you gonna live alone....Spinn

Incredible! Better than the 2 times I saw them in the early 80's. They sounded exactly the same.

Great Show , They don't make bands like this one anymore. Peter , Best front man in music. What a band. Amazing energy.
